Blood Diamond (2006, R)
I haven't seen The Departed yet,but I'm completely sure that this is the best performance by Leonardo DiCaprio.I love this kind of characters.People that doesn't seem to care about the suffering of others, but in the end their perspectives change and they have the chance to redeemed themselves.Djimon Hounsou was amazing, for lack of a better word.I would like the soundtrack and the DVD...Breathtaking... |

The Nativity Story (2006, PG)
As I watched this movie I realized I had the same mixed emotions I had watching The Passion of the Christ. It was a mix of joy and sadness that it was just overwhelming.Yes,I must rejoice because Jesus was born, and yes,I should be thankful because He died on the Cross for my sins. But movies like this one and The Passion of the Christ remind me of how unworthy I am of His sacrifice.I was in awe every single minute of this movie. It has a great cast, the music was very, very good, and I loved the Three Wise Men.This is a great movie for the Holidays, but this event in history should be celebrated every single day,all year long... |

Casino Royale (2006, PG-13)
This movie was awesome.Daniel Craig was charming as Mr.Bond.I enjoyed very much the first conversation he had with Vesper Lynd(Eva Green),and he actually falls in love in this movie,it's not a one night stand, that's something I really liked.I have to admitt I was very impressed with Daniel Craig's body,he looked good, very good...where was I ?Oh,yes! This movie is great! |

The Prestige (2006, PG-13)
The plot wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be,I figured out most of the mystery before the movie was over, but I didn't see the ending coming! I really wasn't expecting that! Michael Caine's performance was the best in my opinion and I think Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman should work together again, they were brilliant! |

Reign Over Me (2007, R)
Very touching movie. It makes you wonder if everyone who lost a loved one on 9/11 feels the same way as Adam Sandler's character.I'm sure they do...or even worse.I laughed, but most of the time I cried. If Adam Sandler keeps making movies like this one,who knows?Maybe he'll get an Academy Award nomination?I really hope so,but he has proved to me that he's more than just a funny guy.Amazing... |
