Mamma Mia! (2008,  PG-13)
Mamma Mia!
What a dumb, dumb, DUMB movie. I could only manage 20 minutes without upchucking. All the women - the young girls, the older women - spent most the time shrieking and giving me headaches. The Julie Walters character had very little character development - we didn't know what her "thing" was in the first 20 minutes??? (At least we understood Christine Baranski) and Meryl Streep's behavior in the movie, to run around shrieking and behaving like she's going to freak out, is really unappealing in a mature woman. It was just plain dumb. Wouldn't recommend unless you're a die-hard ABBA fan or a fan of idiotic chick flicks. I can't imagine a man sitting through this.

It was hard to feel warm and cozy about a couple of 20-year-old who decide they need to get married - ridiculous. What a waste of Colin Firth, who is so reliable. And I can't believe Meryl Streep even did this piece of crap-fluff.

Kung Fu Panda (2008,  PG)

Story rather uninvolving and the animation was difficult to watch on a drive-in screen. Would NOT recommend it.

R.V. (RV) (Runaway Vacation)

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006,  R)
23
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008,  PG-13)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
What a stinky movie. Couldn't buy him doing all those stunts and the storyline was tired, never deciding if it wanted to be Indiana Jones or Close Encounters. I hated it.

You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008,  PG-13)
You Don't Mess with the Zohan
I knew this movie would suck. It did. Waste of time.
25
What Happens in Vegas (2008,  PG-13)
What Happens in Vegas
Can't believe anyone PAID for this movie to be made. Sat through 20 or 30 minutes and the Vegas montage was so dull and standard that there was simply no reason to stick around. WASTE OF TIME.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
Could this really be so bad? YES!
27
Titanic (1997,  PG-13)
28
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006,  PG-13)
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
no patience for Will Ferrell. It was a wretched slapstick comedy and it stunk.

Forget About It (2006,  Unrated)
Forget About It
I had such hopes for the film. Raquel Welch looked fantastic. Outside of that, a great cast, wasted.

Step Brothers (2008,  R)
Step Brothers
As stupid as it sounds - it looks. "Bad" doesn't begin to describe it. I thought "Zohan" was the worst movie I've seen this summer but no - this was worse. Way worse. Maybe if you're 13, it's funny... but it's just embarrassing. The film seems to approve of 40-something useless men who live with their parents and how can ANYONE give a seal of approval to THAT?

Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd Out of Control (2008,  PG-13)
Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd Out of Control
Wow. It's like they called in the junior scriptwriters who were begging to do their own movie and said "okay, do your worst" and then they made the movie anyway! What a waste of all of the cameos by Patrick Warburton and Terry Crews. What a waste of Larry Miller, who is truly a funny man. What an amazingly dumb movie.

The Happening (2008,  R)
The Happening
What a stinky movie. I started laughing at its badness about 30 minutes in and I couldn't stop. I didn't even like Zooey Deschanel in it. Mark Wahlberg looks like he's had too much Botox. And the film was just plain bad.
33
The Duchess (2008,  PG-13)
The Duchess
What a depressing movie. Sure, it was lush and lavishly filmed. And Rafe Fiennes was looking pretty fine himself when he stripped off; Dominic Cooper clearly did some additional workouts to show a new toned physique as well. But it was still a depressing story. It's always enjoyable to watch Charlotte Rampling. I don't think I'd recommend this to anyone unless they wanted to be depressed.
