Against the odds, Barker produced a unique, imaginative, if not somewhat stomach-churning, work that has since earned a place in the annals of horror cinema.
Very slow boring start, vaguely interesting story not really that scary more suspense than anything, had somewhat of a cool ending. And the whole time their in Spain no one seems to speak Spanish at all...
idk if its because I grew up in Spain but maybe thats the reason why I appreciated it more than others...it uses POV style of shooting and has been compared to blair witch but in this case...its blends suspense with the zombie action quite nicely.
Much better job than the original, why? It not only gives an insight more to the freaks but unlike the first this one doesn't try to be serious...its a not brainner slasher with A LOT of gore/blood and fast paced entertaining with bad acting included :)
Having watched Wolf Creek I expected a slow start, it had bits of tension through the movie but overall offered nothing really original except some great sights of the outback.
First off I never read the book...wasn't sure what the movie was about but I found myself laughing throughout most of the movie...would think its more of a dark comedy than anything.
Stephen King may have not liked Kubricks version but it was a biased opinion, I personally loved it...one of my favorite psychological horror flicks :)
I'm easy to please when it comes to horror and with cameos from Kane Hodder and Robert Englund I kind of expected something decent...it had the crappiest plot imaginable but its old school 80's horror, very well done disgusting gore, a lot of boobs, bad acting and some lame comedy.
idk what all the bad reviews were about, this movie beats most modern flicks purely with its plot...sure its not the most original film but it has its moments...it doesn't work so much the gore effect like most other new films and relies on suspense and shock.
Being random as I am I still dont get many Lynch films...this had no actual meaning apart from being dark, disturbing, showing we live practically in her and put me off having kids of my own for a few more decades.
The title says it all...the first one had some type of charm but this was honestly disgusting! wheres the horror? dying old ladies, dead babies, animal beastiality and absolutely no story line that made any sense :S.
I dont know why people complain about this film...it made out for an entertaining flick...had a bit of everything from comedy, horror, gore, adventure, aliens, super powers and a heart warming friendship.
Best love story/horror movie I've seen in a while, and quite unique too, one of few films that I've experienced were heart warming yet kinda creepy at the same time if you watch it with the original voices and not the dubbed version like some have.
Good old silly horror slashers...with no points message or originality, the acting was horrible (honestly I wanted the main slutty looking girl to get killed already), the only thing that makes this movie somewhat watchable are the kill scenes.
Honestly...I expected better for a new Jason movie, the acting was bad...it had way too much sex, wasnt scary at all, and the deaths were anything but original.
Jesus Christ!...this movie is one of the most disturbingly shocking and nauseating films I've ever seen in my life, the amount of gore...the poor pregnant woman, arghhh, makes me not want to have kids for a very long time.
One of the better adaptions of the Stephen King novel, emotional, a few too many "jump" scares for my taste but well interpreted and capture from the original King novel.
Meh, scare tactics are a bit over done, offers no psychological thrill and just good "jump" ghost shots, maybe I was expecting more from the trailer...
Car breaks down, creepy motel, killers, running, screaming, hiding from bad guys...seems like a copy of so many movies, if you want something similar along the lines...but that will really creep you out and disgust you, try the french movie Frontiere.
