Janghwa, Hongryeon (A Tale of Two Sisters) (2003,  R)
Janghwa, Hongryeon (A Tale of Two Sisters)
I've seen this about eight times, and it never gets old. More eerie than scary, it has a very different look and feel than most asian horror films, or even horror films in general.

Shaun of the Dead (2004,  R)
3
The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005,  PG-13)
The Exorcism of Emily Rose

Best movie Bill Paxton ever made. I know that's not saying a lot, but trust me... it's pretty good.

28 Days Later (2003,  R)

This movie scared the crap out of me. If you want to know what my nightmares look like, watch that tape.

18
The Exorcist (1973,  R)
19
Silent Hill (2006,  R)
Silent Hill
It was at least a 4 star horror movie for the first half or so... then they had to ruin it with a cliche horror movie "reason" for what was happening. It just became laughable. They should have just stuck with scary monsters and spent less time on the "why".
20
The Lost Boys (1987,  R)

Stir of Echoes (1999,  R)
33
The Mist (2007,  R)
34
The Eye (Gin gwai) (2002,  R)
The Eye (Gin gwai)
Some nice twists... much better than better than I expected, and it's become one of my favorites.
35
Darkness (2004,  PG-13)
36
Audition (Ôdishon) (1999,  R)
Audition (Ôdishon)
Probably wouldn't be most people's cup of tea. Very slow and almost boring until the very end. Then, lots of gore and tension.

Three...Extremes (Saam gaang yi) (2005,  R)
Three...Extremes (Saam gaang yi)
Box was lovely, but felt somewhat empty.

Dumplings was twisted, but I really enjoyed Bai Ling and I would love to see the feature length version.

Cut was the best of the 3... funny at times, great visuals, and very layered. Pay close attention to the ending of this one, there's more to it than most seem to realize.

These short films aren't meant to be "scary" so if that's what you're expecting, don't bother.

Reincarnation (Rinne) (,  R)
