One of the best horror films in the last 10 years, cool twist! Brought the genre to life again.

A pretty good sequel has its moments, better than the 3rd!

Not as good as the first 2 films but brings the series to a good conclusion.

My fave teen horror film, has a cool, sexy cast, good plot and plenty of action.

Not as good as the first but still better than many of the genre, trust me!

This 3rd installment takes a different direction to the first two. Still pretty good for a low budget straight to DVD film, has its moments.

I quite like this sequel. Although not as good as the first, it's still better than many slasher films. It has a good location, ok plot and of course a young sexy cast. The finale is pretty good and creepy to. If you like horrors you should like this.

This was a striaght to DVD release, a surprise considering how popular the first two were. A simple story with at times low budget effects but still enjoyable. It does go towards a more supernatural path from the first two. If you like the first two give this a whirl.

Very underrated horror. Slow to start but bare with it, very violent and will make you jump. Very good film and almost interactive on DVD.

Know as Halloween camp in th UK. A Friday the 13th rip off, good for a low budget slasher but very gory for a 15!

Known as Halloween Camp 2 in the UK. Not a bad sequel, although doesn't follow on from the first at all. It's a bit like Friday the 13th, but watchable.

This is a brilliant if simple thriller/horror film! I was surprised I liked it so much, favours well compared to the original and much better than The Hitcher 2 which no doubt passed many by, just as well. This is very similar to the original with the general plot and "key" scenes still in it. Sophia Bush is great in this and Sean Bean does make a a good viillain. Very violent and bloody to go with it! If you thought this would be a poor comparison to the cult original then I suggest you check it out.

This takes a strange path from the other films. However it has all the normal ingredients for a Friday the 13th film and is better than some of the others in the series.

Good location for a change in the series, most of the film takes place on a small cruise ship. However gets quite silly towards the end.

They tried to do something different and it doesn't work for me. Doesn't really link part 8 to this either, he died (again) in a New York sewer??

It seems to be missing comedy from the lists of genres?? That's the only reason you should watch this as they try desperately to breathe new life into Jason who has died more than enough times already!

A pretty cool hack'n'slash film. Almost tongue in cheek at times, could almost be a spoof of both series of films. The effects are cool and there is plenty blood for gore fans. Nice to see a recent film starring these two cult film characters....and as with most Jason films, there is a nude girl in the lake.

A new and refreshing change in the series, taking the film from a whole new angle. One of the best Freddy films!

A classic and probably the best and scariest of the Freddy films.

Probably then best in the Sleepaway Camp series, has a good mix of all things for a slasher film. Very different death scenes.

Over the top gore but the very cheap effects and make-up are the scariest thing about this film.

A cool horror/thriller with great SFX!

This was straight to DVD release and it shows. The first was great, this is very average. It does has some gory moments though.

A very gory, violent horror at times. It has a cool change of theme for a horror film.

Just as good as the first pretty much, if maybe not quite as tense or shocking. Very gory and violent, just like the first and similar to the hills have eyes. If you can handle the gore and are a horror fan you'll enjoy this.

A bizarre film, very tongue in cheek. Lots of over the top gore. A bit like Wrong Turn but more comic than scary.

Tagged as an old school American horror this definitely felt like watching an older horror film along the lines of Friday the 13th. However mixed with some very over the top gore from more recent horror films and you get this. Featuring cameos from Robert Englund, Tony Todd and Kane Hodder. There are plenty of jokes, gore and all the other ingredients that horror fans love about slasher films in this.

A very underrated horror film. Very violent and gory at times and has plenty of shocks and jumps along the way. A very cool modern update!

A pretty good straight to DVD low budget sequel to the underrated original. This definitely shows the budget constraints but there is plenty of cheesey acting, blood, elaborate deaths and pointless nudity of course. Just not up to the standard of the first one and not really scary.......watch after the credits to!

This is a very good little know film. It's a mix of cat and mouse thriller with the FBI trying to track a killer at one of their training facilities. It starts as a thriller and soon becomes a horror as puzzles are put in the teams way similar to the traps in the Saw films. Along with an impressive cast and great setting this is worth hunting out.

A good horror when some eerie, scary moments!

A classic horror that will probably seem a bit tame today. Still may cause a few chills as the pirates come knocking for victims in Antonio Bay!

A very good modern horror, quite gory to. Better than most I have seen lately.

Not sure how I stumbled across this film but I am glad I did. Not very well known but considering the cast includes Jared Padalecki (Sam from Supernatural), Lindy Booth and even Jon Bon Jovi amongst others, as well as being made fairly recently it deserves better publicity! It has a good plot, good acting and a good twist to. It's not that scary to be honest and won't satisfy gore fans but otherwise an allround enjoyable film. Similar to Urban Legend, Scream and another slasher but I won't name it as it'll give twist away!

A cool little slasher, kinda like a mix of American Psycho and Aprils Fool's Day.

Called Final Scream in the UK, has nothing to do with the Scream series. It's a rip off of a few horror films most notably April Fool's Day, which is far better! Avoid this!

One of the earliest slasher film genres, but sure looks dated now! Starring Leslie Nielsen and Jamie Lee Curtis, it starts very slow and is quite predictable. It does have a couple of good moments though. Just had a re-make done also!

A run of the mill modern day slasher film. Plenty of gore and gorgeous girls but the story is a bit lame and wanders of back into the past quite alot. Could have been a lot better, but it's enjoyable for fans of the genre.

A pretty decent 80's slasher, better than most low budget offerings today!

A light hearted low budget slasher with lots of girls in showers, and cheap thrills. Ticks all the boxes for a modern day slasher and despite the emphasis on the pretty women this is quite a good entry in the genre.

A very bad slasher film. Follows the usual plot of knife weilding maniac chasing half naked girls around a big house. Looks like a much older film than it is. The fashion is just so bad as well!!!

The best of the bunch.

A kinda cross of Friday the 13th and Showgirls! Sounds terrible, and is more of a low budget TV movie than anything else. However it wasn't nearly as bad as many straight to DVD, low budget horrors.

Low budget UK horror, looked great from trailer but bit of a let down overall, had great potential. Very gory.

An ok low budget horror/thriller. It has a young popular cast you will recognise from other things like Eddie Kaye Thomas from American Pie. It's a good story but similar to a few other films like April fools day. Just think it could have been done a little better.

A very low budget horror this time with an evil miner who has come back for his gold. Has it funny moments intentionally or not. Follows the normal pattern for a slasher film but some how quite enjoyble!

Known as Sickle in the UK. More low budget nonsense, has a nice idea, quite gory deaths but may have been better with a bigger budget.

Starts ok for a low budget horror, but soon becomes very silly. Great if you like low budget horrors that are so bad they become funny!

A very poor slasher film from the late 80's. It's so cheesey and is more of a comedy than a horror of any sort. A similar film more recently made is Cheerleader Massacre, which is a lot better!

Caught this on TV last night, surprised I had not heard of it. A decent little slasher film with some emerging young stars in the cast. Not very gory but feels like a good old school slasher. Produced by Kevin Williamson who had a hand in Scream and I know what you did last summer!

I thought this was a very good film and a great remake. It's not entirely scene for scene like some and gives a lot more time to Michael as a young boy and reasons for him to turn evil. Rather than just a madman on the run from the asylum. Although some key scenes are kept and a few are changed slightly for the update, why change what worked so well in the original. Some people will just rate down remakes just for the sake of it, but seriously Halloween might have been scary if you saw it in your teens but today? This builds on what was a great horror classic and adds a few touches, more of a back story, a bit more violent and sexed up a little for today's audience. Whether you have seen the original or not you should check this out.

A dreadful effort from Film 2000, who else! This is sooo poor and looks very amateur!

I don't think this was as good as the first or third ones.

A very average slasher that is a bit of a let down really. Not scary, gory or anything memorable about it and the ending was the only saving grace, but even that was half predictable.

A so-so remake of the cult classic, although this time it is totally different characters and story but with the same idea. So if you have seen the original, if not then why?, you already have a good idea of how it will turn out. This is one of the main problems as it loses any sense of tension of the first film with its setting on a remote island. Despite the low budget TV movie feel, it was still watchable with a young trendy cast. Don't rush to see it but it's not that bad.

This is quite a good horror film that does borrow a lot from other films like Bloody Mary, Cabin Fever and a few others. It's a little slow to start and it won't please gore fans, but it was much better than I expected it to be.

I'm really surprised at a lot of the average reviews for this. Maybe the hardcore horror fans were expecting a lot more gore, higher death toll, or maybe it's because this doesn't even feel like a true horror film. However I really enjoyed it and felt it was quite original with a great ending. It does remind me of another film with a similar ending but can't remember it right now. This is a very good film, well shot, with a good cast and a rememberable ending!

Firstly no way is this a remake of the original 1980 slasher. They are both called Prom Night and that is it, the stories are totally different! The other problem is this is classed as a horror but only a PG-13?! Pretty straight forward slasher stuff, not scary or gory but done on a big budget. Watch the 80's one it was only just slightly better!

A fairly good prequel to the original with one of the killers from the first starring in this. It's pretty straight forward and not as intense as the first but if you liked the first film you should enjoy this. This also stars Agnes Bruckner from The Grudge 2, Venom and Blood & Chocolate.

A very good "re-imaging" NOT a re-make! I can't believe how many people have said it's a remake, Jason wasn't in the first one hello! Rant over.
Comparing it to the original series of films this has a flash back of the ending of the first, for those who haven't seen it shame on you, and has more in common with the 2nd and 3rd installments. I actually enjoyed it, it gives the fans of the original films an updated version of what they loved about the films. There are plenty of inventive death scenes, sex, drugs and boozing with plenty of gorgeous girls in it. I thought it had a bit too much stoner behaviour, which seem to dumb down the film a bit. It has a slick visual style similar to the recent Texas chainsaw remakes, same director, as well as the same style of old gritty locations and sets. Overall a cool update for anyone who was a fan of the original films and better than nearly all of the previous films apart from the first which is a cult classic at least. Definitely one for slasher fans.

A pretty average slasher film and definitely based around the 3-D, it uses as many scenes as it can for this effect. I only saw it on DVD but you can just tell what scenes, effects were done for the 3-D parts. Very bloody and gory in places, with a slight twist if you can call it that. Overall pretty good but no doubt more fun in 3-D mode.
