Ick!

Christ, what a ghastly, grotesquely tedious movie experience! I can't remember the last time I was so fucking bored during a film! I found myself glancing at the clock almost every five minutes. To being with, the basic storyline is just so out of place and strange. It's unreal! And every single character is so odd, in the very worst possible way. Also, what about those few scenes of exaggerated vomiting and defecation? They served absolutely no purpose at all, unnerved the viewer, and were completely useless. (Don't worry, that gives nothing away about the film if you're still interested in seeing it.) I can't believe that some are referring to this film as "brilliant" or "art." Please, for your own sake, don't even think about seeing this one. Consider yourself warned.

Kind of boring.

I really do not understand all the hype surrounding this film. Sure, the storyline is sweet. But not for upwards of two hours! It becomes extremely dull and uninspired. This is one that I will definitely never watch again.

Sadly, the "Big Spender" scene is the only one in the whole film worth watching. And that's over within the first twenty minutes or so. Also, Shirley MacLaine will make you want to tear your hair out.

The only reason I watched this was for Queen Latifah, whom I love, even though she's not that great of an actress. But even my love for her couldn't save this film. It was, quite expectedly, embarrassingly horrible

This is one of the most static films that I've ever had to sit through. I kept waiting and waiting for it to get going, to get better. But for the most part, it never happened. I did love the ending though. But that wasn't enough to save the film.

Ehh, nothing special at all.
