Rent (2005, PG-13)
I was really worried that this movie wouldn't do the stage musical justice, but I wasn't disappointed at all! This movie is brilliant and stays true. Rosario Dawson, and the actor that plays Angel totally steal the film for me. They are amazing! I blubbed like a little baby, just like when I see the show!! |

Chicago (2002, PG-13)
I loved the way that this movie managed to capture the stage while bringing in the natural elements. It makes it different from most film adaptions of stage musicals. The performances are amazing as are the songs, but if I hear that bloody Mr. Cellophane song once more I'm going to wrap a whole roll of it around my head. Auto-asphyxiation... Nice. |

Reefer Madness - The Movie Musical (2005, R)
This film is ridiculous, and bloody hilarious, with a proper, brilliant repertoire of original songs that make it one highly original musical! I adore it! Bloody hilarious, and based on a cult classic film to warn parents of the effects of marijuana on their kids from way back! Check it out! You'll wet yourself!! |

Cote d'Azur (Crustaces & Coquillages) (2005, Unrated)
This brilliant movie is better known as 'Cockles and Muscles' in the Western world. This film is bloody brilliant. All the characters are hiding secrets pretty much and they spin a complicated web with their relationships and issues. It's funny, yet serious at the same time! I laughed out loud when there was a musical number at the end!! Just bloody brilliant. I'm definitely going to buy it! |

Romance and Cigarettes (2007, R)
You have NEVER seen a musical quite like this, and you have definitely never heard Kate Winslet say such filth in an English Essex accent! Just brilliant! The musical numbers are very random at times, but that just makes me like the film more. It's kooky! A little bit of a shame they didn't do more with it really!! |

Oliver! (1968, G)
This really is a classic musical. I love it. I love the character of Nancy the most probably, but the most fun about this movie is singing along with certain songs! I love a bit of Oom Pa Pa!! The one thing that is a shame is that Mark Lester who plays Oliver isn't the one singing and it is pretty obvious! But it's still brilliant & a classic! |

Hairspray (2007, PG)
I was so worried at the beginning as it started off quite slow in a way, but as a movie and as a musical it got better and better. The songs got better, and the characters got better. I was loving John Travolta as Edna Turnblad, although I was really confused as Edna sounded exactly like Dr Evil from Austin Powers!! Anyway, this movie is colourful and is sheer and absolute entertainment. Brilliant. |

Enchanted (2007, PG)
I honestly didn't think I'd enjoy this movie just as much as I ended up doing! It really is complete and thorough family entertainment... There are references that anyone can understand, and the fact that it is a Disney movie that takes the mickey (if you'll excuse the pun) out of itself is fab! The songs, the chipmunk, and the outright cheesiness are sheer brilliance! |

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007, R)
I am so fricking pissed off!!! This movie could have been so much more than a sadistic "Oliver!" but to be fair... It still isn't. I understand the BBC version far better. This is just a bitter disappointment. Seriously.... Entertaining and good, but not as great as it should be. Amazing art direction, with the most irritating songs where everyone refers to each other's bloody names. |

August Rush (2007, PG)
Talk about disappointed... What could have been a great movie really was pretty awful. This could have been great, but I just didn't believe any of it, the ending was not as climactic as it could have been and it was altogether disjointed. Also, I hate it when Robin Williamsd plays a bad guy. It makes me uneasy. |

Dreamgirls (2006, PG-13)
I really wish that the first half of this movie was as great as the second half or second third. I find it incredibly dull until then. Jennifer Hudson is deserving of that Oscar as she wipes the floor with anyone else in this film. She was phenomenal, and her singing just makes my spine tingle. Worth watching, on only for her! |

High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008, G)
As usual it is cheesier than 6 month old unwashed foreskin, but it put the franchise back on track. This is really great fun, with some brilliant sequences, and in my eyes may even be better than the first one. Zac is as drool-worthy as ever. Everyone in the cinema got excited when he took his top off revealing his back! Sadly he never turned round! |

Mamma Mia! (2008, PG-13) |

Victor Victoria (1982, PG)
This movie is just phenomenal! I was laughing throughout, Julie Andrews and Lesley Ann Warren were phenomenal, and deserved their Oscar nominations for their roles in it, the music is brilliant, as is the story-line. This movie is so risque for it's time what with a certain epidemic coming out at the time. Now one of my favourote movies for originality and brilliance... |

Camp Rock (2008, G)
This movie is cheesier than fifty unwashed fore-skins... It kind of grates like cheese in certain places too because of that fact. It's being a modern Cinderella-type tale, and as usual there is a thoroughly mean blonde girl, so it's not very original. It's ok though. Made more watchable as the only attracitive Jonas brother is one of the leads! |

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975, R)
This movie is simply one of the most entertaining of all time. Completely colourful, outrageous, and with fantastic costumes... Who can't relate to that? That's pretty much my life. The confused look on my little sister's face as she asked me questions about it made it even better! I can watch it again and again, if just for the sheer fact that it's Tim Curry at his sheer genius best... |
