One of my peak favorites of all time. I honestly don't believe there's anyone who can not like this. And if you do, in this one case your opinion is wrong.

Hero
(2002, PG-13)
Every frame of it is BREATHTAKING. Easily the most beautiful martial arts movie ever, maybe most beautiful movie in cinematic history.

This movie altered my life....epic story...a movie like this could never be repeated.

Best English movie Jet Li will ever do. Brilliant, original, outstanding acting, and some of the best fights of the decade!

Unanimously known amongst martial arts film fans as one of the greatest ever conceived.

triumphant sequel. dark & slow 2nd act builds to an astonishing double-climax

Excellent story, directing, & cool action. more light-hearted, which is nice too

One of the best action movies I can think of...it excels in acting, action and originality.

certainly one of the coolest kung-fu movies ever. several-movies-worth of awe-inspiring sequences. a must-see.

the script is an emotional roller-coaster. .eye-popping fights and good cast. Jet Li shines.
Although they went a little overboard with the wire-fu, it does look wicked.

Far from genius but it was the best sci-fi/action movie of 2001. Couple very cool scenes.

Big-budget, ultra-violent, borderline superhero movie of Jet Li's. Good stuff.

got a soft spot for this one. strong characters make the movie watchable. down to earth action and drama with heart

Nice asian-fantasy family picture. Not a great movie (nothing I haven't seen better before) but really nice to look at. Fabulous FX, sweet visuals courtesy of Peter Pau, and lots of good Yuen Woo-Ping choreography. If only he directed! Rob Minkoff has only done children's movies. Guess that's not too far off. This is ideal for parents who are Jackie or Jet fans. Suitable for anyone, but too been-there-done-that for anyone to fall in love with it. If it does bring kids/adults into asian cinema then I will be beyond happy, I assure you.

A hardcore assassin story, NOT the action extravaganza they want you to think, but they had the balls to go against convention throughout, and it'll leave you with something to talk about when it's over! I didn't mind waiting to figure out people's motivations even to the last minute. Unfortunately some of the story develops kinda slowly. Pros: - Kick-ass R rating like the good old days - story-driven - smart script - impressive cast
Cons:- the title sucks. original title "Rogue" was way better. - instead of balancing story with violence, it should have been story & action. there's a difference. - it may be story-driven but not a lot develops either. (the killer gets away a lot of times.) - missed potential...it's a totally good enough movie but you'll want it to be great and it's not

Die Hard as done by Wong Jing....the Paul W.S. Anderson of Hong Kong.

A little of everything in this one. If that appeals to you then check it out. It's strange but pretty good.

a nice surprise. Basically it's a Jackie Chan film, and a good one at that. This English dub is atrociously acted and cut, but that's all I got to go on, so...3 stars for extremely good, non-fantasy fighting.

like a bad Shanghai Noon with way better action. take that how you want. some really bad American actors. but the majority of the movie is allright.
if you're a fan of Part 1-3, for sure check it out. Stay far away if you haven't seen those.

Very unique but unfortunately it doesn't work very well. A remake could be fantastic.

Good story... overly melodramatic...good cast...fights are noticeably fake but eye-popping all the same.

the opposite of Romeo Must Die - this is a terrible looking movie with incredible, real martial arts performances.
this is just like watching the original Drunken Master -- terrible movie but watching the ultra-young mega-star is pretty sweet.

Uber-Hollywoodized Jet Li vehicle. Well shot as you'd expect, some stellar ideas, but the computer-fu fights are awful...basically the most non-real fights i've seen (special fx, wires, camera tricks)

Pure craziness...it's a fantasy so it's allright. Except the story is poor and incomplete.

One of the worst Jet Li movies by one of the worst living directors.

I've seen 27 of Jet Li's 31 films and this is the biggest failure, since this was one of the most costly and it's trash.

The cast is amazing but this is too schizophrenic a fantasy for me. The budget is not big enough to support a story this ambitious.
