if you think about this...its really a true comedy and the fucking alien is a god damn beach ball.... so dan obannon took this idea and made it scary but you can tell in a very stressful way john and dan were having some fun with the sci fi deal making fun of the love of it in the 70s plus they did it the best they could so i comend them for that even if the film is a bit flawed

ah.... john carpenter's film filmed in widescreen wonderful! and you can truly see where his love started it seems the two major films that influinsed this were rio bravo and night of the living dead and he combined it with good old fashion 70s low budget action! and the brith in a way of snake plisken if you look at the main guy for a few seconds... sure might be a little corny why they have to stop but hey its still a great film with one of the most shocking moments... i tell ya they never shot a little girl in the remake and unlike the remake this DIDNT!!! fallow the hollywood deal of bad cops bravo john bravo!

not one of my favs by john carpenter personaly but it is a landmark and theres no lying about that great music too

great carpenter film though its flawed... but still good....adrienne barbeau is hot as hell in it....

john carpenter's ultiment master peace the movie makes you feel cold as you look at them in the snow the music the feel the oh so fucking GREAT FX by rob bottin i dont think that man will ever do fx as well as he did hear never can top himself its just impossble! the casting so great no one plays it for laughs they play it with straight faces and it just makes you the more scared becuase you just dont know who could have it...oh my fucking god i love this movie when you first see the dog change i just remmber sitting there after i bought it on VHS "yes dvds were out but this one wasnt out yet" and i just sat there with my eyes getting bigger and holding my dog more god i love this film john carpenter's true oscer worthy master peace

ok...little to the synopsis.... "some where in the 80s" that should fucking tell you some thing right there! a john carpenter 80s flick where the damn hero isnt even a fucking hero! ha! kurt russel plays a great dumb fuck! just fun fun fun from our buddy john carpenter!

john carpenter's best fucking film it makes you think about life and the way the world is going truly think about out after you watch the film and wonder to yourself...what if i had theses sunglasses? "i have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass.... and im all out of gum..." and the fight between roddy piper and keith david?! fucking genius...

alota people cut this one down but hey i thought it was cool snake is always going to be a true badass hero in my eyes and it has a bunch of cool cameos bruce campbell, peter fonda, pam greier the list goes on its just a great fun ride always can trust a john carpenter film i say....unless it has chevy chase....

awsome movie james woods is just down right cool

alot of people hate this movie and to be honest....i dont know why it kinda had a carpenter 80s feel and the music was awsome and the cast was fun sure a bit cheesy but fun though!
