Dark Star (1974, G)
if you think about this...its really a true comedy and the fucking alien is a god damn beach ball.... so dan obannon took this idea and made it scary but you can tell in a very stressful way john and dan were having some fun with the sci fi deal making fun of the love of it in the 70s plus they did it the best they could so i comend them for that even if the film is a bit flawed |

Assault on Precinct 13 (1976, R)
ah.... john carpenter's film filmed in widescreen wonderful! and you can truly see where his love started it seems the two major films that influinsed this were rio bravo and night of the living dead and he combined it with good old fashion 70s low budget action! and the brith in a way of snake plisken if you look at the main guy for a few seconds... sure might be a little corny why they have to stop but hey its still a great film with one of the most shocking moments... i tell ya they never shot a little girl in the remake and unlike the remake this DIDNT!!! fallow the hollywood deal of bad cops bravo john bravo! |
