Sleepy Hollow (1999,  R)
Sleepy Hollow
Brillaint cast does equal a brilliant movie. Miranda Richardson was amazing as always, she played the wicked stepmother beautifully, bewitching all those around her with fairytale qualites. And the wonderfully awkard Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane, was just beautifully done. The chemistry between him and Ricci was well done, they had a great awkard yearning.
And the Burtonesque qualities were oh so beautiful! from the first scene it just screamed Burton, and was a beautiful amalgamation, of his love for 50's Horror, and dark fairytale. another must see from him. The Burton Depp team yet again showing their brilliance, with Burton's brilliant vision, and Depp's ability to translate it so well into Burton's outsider characters it was just unforgettable!

this movie seriously made me cry! this is one of the best movies ive seen, its f***ing awesome! when the narratol writing came up at the end about what happened after the movie it made me soo sad, just how much he loved his daughter. Its an awesome movie. Sure the lead characters the man who brought cocaine to America, but i couldn't help but love him, and feel sad about the shit that went on in his life!!

24
From Hell (2001,  R)
From Hell
really good. beautiful ending, though i would have prefered a happy one, it just wouldn;t have gone with the flow of the movie. thought it was slow in parts, but over all was v.v. good, and quite unexpected in parts.
25
Lost in La Mancha (2003,  R)
26
Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003,  R)
Once Upon a Time in Mexico
ok first off, my viewing of this was slightly detracted from. the reason is well their were no subtitles for the non english pics thanx to a shitty download.
but other than that it was really good! i assume this is because of the afore mentioned problem, but i did find it slightly confusing at times (so in other words, if your gonna watch it hire it out, cause if you get a bad copy with no subtitles it will detract from the quality of the film!).
well acted by everyone. and i have to say i particularly liked johnny in this role. i ended up kinda thinking of him as what johnny wanted Hanson to become (as depp has said he thought that in any further portrayal of hanson he should be corrupt or sumthing), so that added a little sumthing for me.
anyways good film, definately worth a watch!

The Libertine (2006,  R)
The Libertine
It's an interesting movie. there are some really good bits, some just plain wierd, and some you cant believe they actually put in there (a certain play for example). Wish theyd put more in the begining of the movie, and less into the end of it, as that seems to go on to long. But in all its a good movie, and you can see Depp did it to break out of mainstream after Pirates.
32
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005,  PG)

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
it's great. goes on a bit long, but every minute is so packed its all needed!! i can see where criticisms have come from, but personally dont agree. everything was really well done. It didnt do the classic sequel thing of going too over the top and forgetting what the movie was about. obviously not as good as the first. but well worth seeing!
it was a good ending tied evrything up nicely, was a bit predictable as to what the outcome would be but hey it is still disney.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007,  R)
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
well i knew it was going to be good, with my favoutrie director, and two of my fav actors teaming up again, and i was mnot dissapointed.
i will addmit that at times the songs seem misplaced, theres not really a lead up to them or anything, but this can just ad to the feel of the movie. i mean if you go into a musical about a killer barber, you cant xpect the songs to fit in as they wouild in a regular musical. this said and done, they can take ome getting use to, and can seem jarring at first.
Helena does a a wonderful job as mrs lovett. she truly shines in a role she has always wanted to play! it is well known shes corned the market as far as excentric bizare female characters go, and shes yewt again shown us just why this is. she truly shines.
Depp does a fabulous job as per usual, and does a wonderful job considering, he has never sung before. he captures the essence of todd perfectly.
Burton's touch of course shines through every second of this film, and has done himself justice!
Another wonderful Burton/Depp/Bonham Carter collaboration.
Also props to Sanders for his performance, he really got his part done pat, and was wonderful on the role
