78
Batman Begins (2005,  PG-13)
Batman Begins
After the disappointment of Batman & Robin this movie had a lot to redeem, and it has. A brilliant re-start to the franchise.
79
Shrek (2001,  PG)
Shrek
Again proving Mike Myers is a genius. A Scottish ogre. You have to love it!! And Eddie Murphy morphing into the funniest animated character of all time... Donkey. Cameron disappoints me as the Princess, but other than that sheer brilliance.
80
Underworld: Evolution (2006,  R)

81
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005,  PG-13)

86
Alien (1979,  R)
Alien
This film is absolutely brilliant and a total ground-breaker in the horror genre. Sigourney is amazing as is this movie. I absolutely adore it. Nothing like a good face hugger!
87
Aliens (1986,  R)
Aliens
Could be even better than the first! But both are absolutely amazing! "Stay away from her you b***h!" I say!! Absolutely adore it, and the new characters introduced. Ripley kicks ass man!!
88
Alien 3 (1992,  R)
Alien 3
Hmm... It's ashame really. It's a watchable, and good movie, but it just isn't anywhere near as good as the first two. The ending is pretty different though.
89
Alien Resurrection (1997,  R)
Alien Resurrection
Again, not as good as the first two, but in my opinion it IS slightly better than number three. I like the fact that Ripley has become a hybrid, and I think Winona's character adds a little something. Good, but not great by any means.
90
Santa Claus - The Movie (1985,  PG)

The Dark Crystal (1982,  PG)
The Dark Crystal
This is a classic movie that I have always adored. I have fond memories of this, and always will. It's touching, yet it makes you cry... At least it did when I was young. I'm sure it may have the same effect now...
92
The NeverEnding Story (1984,  PG)
The NeverEnding Story
This was one of my fave movies when I was a kid, and I still adore everything to do with it. People obviously feel the same when you are at university and they steal your copy. Original, and beautiful and will stick with you always... Isn't that an amazing film whatever age you are?
93
The Land Before Time (1988,  G)
The Land Before Time
As a child I could watch this movie again and again. I loved the all especially PETREE!!! Oh, such beautiful characters... and such a beautiful kids movie. Then they spoilt it with more sequels than a trilogy. In fact they just spoilt it, but this original is perfection!!
94
Ginger Snaps (2001,  R)
Ginger Snaps
Totally original in the genre of horror... It really does push most buttons. Werewolf time... Totally original story. I love this movie. The acting matches the story... in my mind,.... ground-breaking.
95
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996,  R)
From Dusk Till Dawn
This is just one of the best horror movies ever. I totally adore it, and highly recommend it to anyone. Blood and guts, action and drama... Beautifully wicked!! Salma Hayek can nearly turn any man in this movie... Before she turns!!
96
Casshern (2004,  Unrated)
Casshern
All I can say is... Wow!! You may get lost a couple of times, but this movie is one of the most beautiful things I have ever watched. It's like Matrix on acid. Mad colours and brilliant effects ending with a moral lesson. Awe-inspiring!
97
Serenity (2005,  PG-13)
Serenity
This may be one of the best Sci Fi movies you will ever watch. It's simply brilliant. It ticks all the boxes for me, and carries straight on from Firefly, which is a series that should never have been cancelled. Action and fantasy galore. Bloody watch it!!
98
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
I was worried this may not live up to the first one, but honestly... I think it is far superior!! The graphics, and some of the comedy action sequences are second to none. I'm so impressed I'm biting my knuckles for number three!!!!
99
Hollow Man II (2006,  R)
Hollow Man II
Well, what to say? It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and the effects were pretty good. I liked the fact that the plot was completely unrelated to the first one. Yeah, it's watchable. They've set themselves up for another bloody sequel though.
100
Hollow Man (2000,  R)
Hollow Man
There's some really good effects, and Kevin Bacon is scary as ever! He's always good at these bad boy roles! Freak and unique.
101
Five Children and It (5 Children & It) (2004,  Unrated)
102
Superman Returns (2006,  PG-13)
Superman Returns
I was hooked from start to finish with this movie! Welcome to Hollywood Brandon Routh you sexy sexy man! Love it. Can't wait for the next one!! Bring it on I say! And Parker Posey is as fierce as ever!!
103
My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006,  PG-13)
My Super Ex-Girlfriend
This movie is great fun! Totally loved the silly twist at the end. Nothing like a good bitch-fight! The shark scene was ridiculous, but the effects for it were great! It's good fun, but there's something missing from this movie and I can't quite put my finger on it. Oh, and the jealousy thing really does grate after a while.
104
V for Vendetta (2006,  R)
V for Vendetta
I was worried I was going to hate this movie, but I think it is bloody brilliant, and a great pointer as to what can happen with political dictatorship, as well as having some great action. V is one of the best characters I've seen in a while!
105
Ultraviolet (2006,  PG-13)
Ultraviolet
This movie is soooo bloody disappointing. It's really beautiful, but missing so much depth that it's really unforgivable. It doesn't explain itself enough a lot of the time. Another movie that should have been great, but fell at the 2nd hurdle...
106
The Lake House (2006,  PG)
The Lake House
Hmmm... Really different kind of love story, and really good. I just felt the sugar-coated ending really bloody spoilt it for me. I may watch it again in the future, but unlike The Notebook I wouldn't rush out and buy it!
107
Fight Club (1999,  R)
Fight Club
Strip down Brad and put him on my bed waiting for me. God he is sexy as hell in this film. Anyway, Edward Norton is brilliant, as is Meatloaf, as are the twists. Amazing! Why smash up Jared Leto's face though? Sexy bugger!
108
Blade (1998,  R)
Blade
THis is one of the best action/vampire flicks there is. If not THE best! The supreme anti-hero. Bloody phenomenal stuff. Definitely a comic classic. Watch it!
109
The Ant Bully (2006,  PG)
The Ant Bully
I thought it was going to be terrible!! It was actually really good, but please Pizar-type animators... Enough with the bugs and ants!! Check it out one and all I say!!
110
The Covenant (2006,  PG-13)
The Covenant
I need myself a hot Wicca man RIGHT now!! Hell yeah... Is it getting hot in here or is that just the whole cast? Oh the movie... I liked it!! Didn't explain itself completely but hey... Did I mention how hot the cast is?? The film ain't that hot though....
111
Pulse (2006,  PG-13)
Pulse
I was kind of pleasantly surprised... Most American re-makes of Asian cinema are completely awful, but this one was okay. Still not great, but okay. I did jump a couple of times. Kairo is still better though, but thankyou for putting Ian Somerhalder in... Yummy!!
112
Pulse (Kairo) (2005,  Unrated)
Pulse (Kairo)
Very original, and freaky like any Asian horror should be. I'm sorry, but they do freaky so much better than the Americans. Definitely one to check out if you haven't.
113
El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) (2006,  R)
El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth)
A truly phenomenal modern fairy tale masterpiece. This movie had me gripped throughout. I was sympathetic to certain characters from the start and intrigued what my eyes would behold as I carried on watching it. True brilliance.
114
Ghost Rider (2007,  PG-13)
Ghost Rider
When this movie first started I was like 'Wow... This is cheesy', but it got better and better, and is a good convert from movie to film. It makes fun of itself, has great effects and doesn't try to be something it's not. Took a leaf out of Sin City's book.
115
Stranger Than Fiction (2006,  PG-13)
Stranger Than Fiction
I found this movie very odd as it started, but then it just got better and better. Absolutely loved it!! Amazing cast, and very original story. Definitely one I would check out.
116
Eragon (2006,  PG)
Eragon
This is a great fantasy flick, but although I loved it (the main character of Eragon, and the beautiful dragon itself are brilliant) there was still something lacking a little that I can't put my finger on. Nevertheless great, and watch it. Roll on the sequel.
117
Meet the Robinsons (2007,  G)
Meet the Robinsons
Whoever wrote this movie has something wrong in the head. Very random in places, but that's what gives it the humour! It is bloody brilliant in it's own way, and now I really wanna see it in 3D.
118
Perfect Creature (2006,  R)
Perfect Creature
This is actually a really good concept for a vampire flick and it makegs it completely original. It's also very well done. I would definitely check it out! There is a little something lacking but other than that a very good and original vampire flick.
119
Night at the Museum (2006,  PG)
Night at the Museum
The effects are amazing... It's ashame it really screwed up with the plot-line. How is it he catches the bad guys, but you never find out what happens to them and he gets fired from the company, before the manager realising he was wrong? Doesn't compute. Sorry, but could have been so much better.
120
Click (2006,  PG-13)
Click
Completely original, and a good movie, but it could have been a lot better I think. I did laugh a hell of a lot when Adam's character froze David Hasselhoff, and then farted in his face. I guess toilet humour must get me every time!!
121
Lady in the Water (2006,  PG-13)
Lady in the Water
I really started off not enjoying it, but it really is a complete original fairy tale put into movie form. It was really interesting they way it all unfolded, and I ended up being pretty impressed. This is a fantasy you can get caught up in, unlike Bridge to Teribithea...
122
The Host (Gwoemul) (2007,  R)
The Host (Gwoemul)
This movie is completely original. I was really impressed. Great special effects, and a a thoroughly modern creature feature. Asian film-makers have done it again! Let's hope it isn't American-ised like so many other great Asian movies have been ruined in doing so. Check it out!
123
Children of Men (2006,  R)
Children of Men
Wow... There are some amazing shots in this movie and great performances. Thoroughly original plot and pretty gripping. Very impressive.
124
The Fountain (2006,  PG-13)
The Fountain
Holy wow... This is one of the most amazing movies you will see. Sometimes it tries too hard, but it has great themes, symbolism and the most amazing cinematogrpahy that is second to none. Astonishingly beautiful shots that will simply surprise you. Keeps your brain ticking...
125
Deja Vu (2006,  PG-13)
Deja Vu
The concept of this movie is great, and there are times when it completely keeps you guessing. You fall in love a bit with the deceased girl too. You just can't help it. A brilliant movie that lacks somewhere, but good enough for me not to quite realise where!

If Only (2004,  PG-13)
If Only
This is a really cute romance that I had never heard of with two lead actors I never thought I'd see in a movie together! But I'm glad I did. Very sweet. Not a great movie, but a good one to make you go 'Aww...' and blub a little!
127
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968,  G)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
One of the best musicals ever made. Amazing songs, and amazing fun for everyone. I still laugh and cry absolutely every time I watch it. That bloody Child Catcher gave me such nightmares as a kid!! Lolliops anyone?
128
Strange Days (1995,  R)
Strange Days
I stumbled across this movie late at night, and boy am I glad I did! Just a great and original sci fi concept which you can completely relate to. Action and fantasy combined with Angela Bassett proving she can kick some ass. Highly recommend this!
129
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Another bloody brilliant installment. Very dark though. I saw it in the Imax so the last twenty minutes were 3D which was pretty bloody cool! Genius and great viewing as always...
130
Sunshine (2007,  R)
Sunshine
This is one of the best sci fi movies I have seen. Completely original and amazingly well done. I also like the fact that as with The Day After Tomorrow... It could actually happen.
131
Equilibrium (2002,  R)
Equilibrium
Just a brilliant sci fi action flick. In my opinion it's completely up to par with Matrix, or even better in a lot of ways. Has great moral messages and factual-based scenario I think. Check it out if you haven't!
132
Next (2007,  PG-13)
Next
This is an ultimate action movie that keeps you guessing, which is the best kind!! Completely original with simply amazing scenes. Absolutely loved it. I just wish Nicholas Cage could stop being Nicholas Cage as he is exactly the same in every movie despite whatever hair-style and how great the movie is!!!
133
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007,  PG)
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
This is definitely one of the best Superhero movies. The action and effects were phenomenal. It had a great story. I love the actors, and you get Chris Evans with his shirt off... What more could you want in a movie?!
134
Spider-Man 3 (2007,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 3
The effects are phenomenal as ever, and you definitely cannot get bored watching this!! Totally loved it. My only issue is that maybe they had too much going on, what with the Green Goblin, Sandman, black Spidy, and then Venom. Venom deserves a whole film to himself, so they better bloody resurrect him!!
135
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007,  PG-13)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
Bloody brilliant action... Amazing effects. Johnny Depp stealing the show as ever. Exactly what you would want to see in the Pirates third installment. Geoffrey Rush is excellent as ever as well, and I still want to sit on Orlando's face. Great stuff!
136
It's a Boy Girl Thing (2006,  PG-13)
It's a Boy Girl Thing
This movie is great fun. Kevin Zegers is as drool-worthy as ever, especially with his top off... Yum!! I've always loved Samaire too, so it was fun seeing them together in a movie where Sharon Osbourne stars as a mother! Just great fun in the vein of Big or Freaky Friday, but comical in other ways due to the gender swap. Thoroughly enjoyable!
137
Transformers (2007,  PG-13)
Transformers
Wow!! You could not wish to see more special effects in a movie. Completely jam-packed, and if you tell me you got bored watching it then there is something wrong with you! It is a stunning action film. The only thing lacking for me was not seeing enough of the Transformers' personalities. That's a small shame...
138
Shrek the Third (Shrek 3) (2007,  PG)
Shrek the Third (Shrek 3)
Great fun family entertainment as ever. Hilarious watching all the princesses together, and absolutely loving Donkey and the Dragon's children. So cute! Just enjoyable as ever. Only problem was I wanted it to be longer!
139
Cronos (1994,  R)
Cronos
You can see the way the genius that is Pan's Labyrinth would come about in this great directorial debut of del Toro. This is like a more modern Nosferatu... It has so many under-currents like addiction, eternal youth, and love bringing you through becoming a full monster. Very clever and scary beautiful movie...
140
Time Bandits (1981,  PG)
Time Bandits
One of the most random films ever! It's good fun, but could have been a lot better. Enjoyable fun for the family with fun cameos! Worth checking out, but wish it was better...
141
Cloverfield (2008,  PG-13)
Cloverfield
The effects in this movie are simply amazing. It's really original, and well done, and one of those movies that if you are going to see it it's best to see at the cinema. My biggest issue with it is that there is too much shakiness in the camera work. I mean obviously it adds to the realism, but it's slightly too much and you can end up feeling slightly ill!! Other than that... Wicked take on a creature feature!
142
The Fly (1986,  R)
The Fly
I finally saw an amazing movie that has many issues... A bit like me!! This movie has amazing effects for it's time and Jeff and Geena just steal the show with absolutely everything they do. A creature feature where the main actor becomes the creature... The moment where his ear falls off but you can see how much Geena's character loves him is genius!
143
Snow White: A Tale of Terror (Snow White in the Black Forest) (1997,  R)
Snow White: A Tale of Terror (Snow White in the Black Forest)
This is a pretty good adaption of the Fairy Tale in it's own way, because it sticks to a very Grimm version. Definitely not for the kiddies, but that's good. It is kind of enjoyable in a really odd way, and Sigourney is such a great witch bitch. There is something very much lacking though, and I can't stick my crone-like finger on it...
144
Stardust (2007,  PG-13)
Stardust
This is a completely original fairy tale I was thoroughly impressed by... Really enjoyable from Ms Danes as a star in human form to Mr DeNiro as a gay pirate. Great fun, great effects, and yet again Ms Pfeiffer makes a great b***h, and Charlie Cox is a loveable nerd. Brilliant casting.
145
The Golden Compass (2007,  PG-13)
The Golden Compass
Just a brilliantly done beautiful fansy flick that anyone can enjoy! I can't wait for the next ones. Nicole Kidman makes a great villainess, and the CGI is bloody brilliant. Even the casting of the voices rocks.
146
The Invasion (2007,  PG-13)
The Invasion
I actually thoroughly injoyed this movie and thought it was like an alien version of 28 Days Later... The acting was brilliant, as I thought was the story-line. Many will disagree, but I highly recommend it... Well deserved paranoia thrown in for good measure, which I usually hate in movies!
147
I Am Legend (2007,  PG-13)
I Am Legend
It was about time there was a movie that was a tour-de-force for Will other than Ali, and this is it. A film with brilliant effects and amazing heart, but at the same time got a bit irritating in places. Nevertheless it is definitely worth a watch and is extremely well done. Would you have done things differently though?
148
Bloodrayne (2006,  R)
Bloodrayne
I actually really enjoyed this movie. The Terminator chick can kick some ass!! There's some fab sequences and loving the story-line, but as Rayne realises... shit happens!! This isn't great, but hey, we love some good fun!
149
Planet Terror (Grindhouse Presents: Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror) (2007,  R)
Planet Terror (Grindhouse Presents: Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror)
This movie rocks harder than Led Zeppelin and Nirvana mixed, with more guts than 50 abbertoires. Rose McGowan totally rules as always, and this movie can totally take the mick out of itself. Humour, action, gore... All in abundance! Completely original! Check it...
150
Jumper (2008,  PG-13)
Jumper
There is no denying that the effects are phenomenal, but the reasoning behind everything is just vapid. Nothing is explained enough. There isn't enough emotion, and there's barely any conclusion to anything. Talk about loose strings! What the hell were they thinking when they made jumper jump so much it got completely disjointed?! An okay movie that could have been out of this world!
151
Reign of Fire (2002,  PG-13)
152
WALL-E (2008,  G)
WALL-E
Action, romance, and science fiction... This is the only movie I need, an any child or adult should feel the same!! This is stunning... This is the way Short Circuit would have been if the animation was like it is now. You fall in love not only with WALL.E but EVE and MO too. It pushes every single button within you no matter what age you are. Thoroughly amazing, and if you haven't seen it yet then what's your problem?!
153
Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954,  G)
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Classic creature feature! Highly amusing in places, because the creature itself is bloody pants! It doesn't even move it's mouth! Some lovely shots in it, but a bit crap. Nevertheless, it's a classic!
154
Blade Runner (1982,  R)
Blade Runner
Hmmm... I was quite surprised how disappointed I was with this film, as I thought I'd love it! I actually didn't care for Harrison's character at all and really wanted him and Rutger to rip each other apart at the end. I foumnd it disjointed and confusing in places. The best characters were Sean Young and Darryl Hannah's, but still... Although visually stunning in places... I just don't really care for it at all.
155
Dungeons & Dragons (2000,  PG-13)
Dungeons & Dragons
This has a pretty good cast, but even they can't help the slum of this fantasy that tries to be comedic but is a complete joke in itself. It's almost like a bad Never Ending Story... And I mean the movie of that!! There are bigger and better dragons to fly!
156
Hellboy (2004,  PG-13)
Hellboy
What you have to love about Hellboy as a hero is the fact he's an anti-hero in some ways with a great sense of humour. This movie is great fun as well as being visually stunning in places.
157
Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) (2008,  PG-13)
Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2)
I love the fact that in this sequel del Toro shows off much more as there was a bigger budget so we get to see how the creatures get even more fantastic. The problem is that the humour Hellboy has in the first one is lacking due to this ego trip. It does make it slightly more fantastic to watch though, and thus about balances out. A great mix of both for the next one please & I'll be in heaven!
158
The Dark Knight (2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
Wow... Heath Ledger is absolutely phenomenal in this movie. Talk about leaving this planet with a bang. I thought Brandon Lee in The Crow did that in style, but Heath gives us a Tour de Force as the ultimate Joker. This movie brings it all... From Bale's brooding Batman once more to Eckhart similarly rubbing Tommy Lee's Two-Face into the dust. More disturbing, dark, and brilliant than any of those earlier Batman films... Sheer genius of comic hero perfection...
159
Arthur and the Invisibles (Arthur and the Minimoys) (2007,  PG)
Arthur and the Invisibles (Arthur and the Minimoys)
Madonna and Freddie Highmore as love interests is wrong from the start, but this is a cute family flick. Unfortunately the dubbing is too badly placed for most of it, but hey, this is a cute movie. It deserves that much, and Bowie as the villain is inspired.
160
Tremors 3 - Back to Perfection (2001,  PG)
Tremors 3 - Back to Perfection
People can diss this sequel as much as they want, but I am now officially a fan... It goes the comic route, but in a good way... Bit like an Evil Dead. It's not the original, but I'm guessing it's nowhere near as bad as a number 2! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great banter. Some good characters, some bad acting... Genius! I've had a few ass blasters in my day anyway!
161
10,000 B.C. (2008,  PG-13)
10,000 B.C.
Hmmm... I'd go watch Apolocalypto if I were you! This movie is enjoyable with great effects, but a complete load of drivel... It isn't remotely historically accurate! Why do all the main characters speak English while other tribes & their enemies speak other languages? Why are their two enemies so incredibly advanced with things that definitely weren't around at 10,000 BC? And best of all... Why are their tribe rastas?! They all have bloody dreadlocks! If you fancy a gulity pleasure fantasy though, then just ignore that and it's good!
162
Zombie Strippers (2008,  R)
Zombie Strippers
You have to have a sense of humour, and some B movie intelligence to enjoy this film. Jenna Jameson as an undead stripper?! The guy who starts the infection is called Byrd Flough (Bird Flu)... It starts off with the acting SO bad! But after 20 minutes it gets better and better... The effects crew on this are phenomenal... Seriously any horror fanatic will bow down to the variety of deaths, and zombies getting more degraded... I say watch it if any of this appeals!
163
Hancock (2008,  PG-13)
Hancock
I think Will Smith & Charlize do a pretty bloody good job in this. It's a really enjoyable twist on the superhero yarn... I do think that even more could have been done to be honest, but it's great fun, and definitely worth watching again, if just for the effects.
164
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008,  PG)
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
I was a bit disfappointed in the first half of the movie, as the sparkle that the first one had just wasn't there. It did get better though, and that was despite the fact that Caspian and his uncle had Spanish accents, and Peter's acting seems to have got worse since the first one. Not as magical, as the first, but still on track and beautifully done.
165
Iron Man (2008,  PG-13)
Iron Man
The casting is genius... Jeff Bridges as I've never seen him before, and Robert Downey Jr is amazing. The sequences are brilliant, but is it selfish that I wanted just slightly more?! This is what super hero movies should be like (take not Hulk), and I am definitely excited about the next instalment!
166
The Ruins (2008,  R)
The Ruins
It's like Day of the Triffids meets Invasion of the Bodysnatchers meets the Aztecs... And not in a good way most of the time... The acting and effects are good, but it's bizarre, and although the tension is great at times it leaves you wanting more than some acidic ivy that feeds off humans! Original, but a bit ruined...
167
Wanted (2008,  R)
Wanted
Well, he definitely left me with a point at the end! Angelina and James are so sexy my groin hurts! The effects are amazing, and the premise is cool. The movie itself is very cool, and full of action... Though, more is Wanted!
168
The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008,  PG)
The Spiderwick Chronicles
It was much better than Bridge to Terabithia in my opinion. Just quite a fun fantasy family flick with a minor dark side. Nothing to really make it stand out more than that unfortunately...
169
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008,  PG-13)
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
The effects may be phenomenal, and I like the whole thought of a back story to the infamous Terracotta Army, but seriously?! There's taking liberties and taking the piss! Two immortals, the emperor himself suddenly has shape-shifting abilities, Yetis... And a fountain of life?! Was there any need to go this far?!
170
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008,  PG-13)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
This is a good fun action movie. Not quite the original three but enjoyable nonetheless... It may have paved the way for a new type of Young Indiana with Shia as well, which I am all for. Weird mix of sci fi and fantasy though!
171
Beowulf (2007,  PG-13)
Beowulf
It's weird, because I started the film wishing it was the real actors... I know the motions and faces pretty much were, but then why go to all that trouble to turn them into near-flawless animation? A story I've wanted on screen for a while and after watching this maybe it wouldn't have been so great another way. Pretty amazing, and a sign of our times.
172
The Astronaut's Wife (1999,  R)
The Astronaut's Wife
Talk about an amazingly freaky movie... Very well acted by both! Not exactly the kind of film you want to watch again and again, but really good. Yes, people are going to keep making "Rosemary's Baby" comparisons, and fair enough, but it is a good twisted film with two amazing actors...
173
Project: ALF (1996,  Unrated)
Project: ALF
I had to watch this movie for nostalgia purposes, and Alf the alien is still as funny as he always was! Rocket the robet is also comedy value in this movie spin off. It's a shame all the human actors weren't so great... Especially MartinSheen as the Colonel who holds Alf completely responsible for his mother's demise. He was pathetic. But if you want some cheap giggles at Alf's humour it's great fun!
174
DOA: Dead or Alive (2007,  PG-13)
DOA: Dead or Alive
If you like to see babes kicking ass then this is definitely for you! Unfortunately it's a lot like the movies for Mortal Kombat and Streetfighter in the fact that it's just not up to scratch. It is very watchable and the fight sequences are great and colourful. The acting can get a bit ropey, but pure entertainment value really!
175
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004,  R)
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
This movie is just amazing... Watching the deconstruction unfold, and yet proving at the same time that some people really ARE meant to be together. Carrey in what is most likely his best role, and Winslet in one of hers. I love a quirky Kate! It is beautiful, magical, poignant, depressing, and uplifting, and not many movies can say that...
176
Star Trek (2009,  PG-13)
Star Trek
Yes, I knew I was still a die-hard Trekkie. This movie has given me faith again! This has got to be one of the best Sci Fi movies ever made! I was completely impressed with it... Every single second is well done! Chekhov shouldn't really have been in it if we're being accurate to the original series, as the insertion of his character upset Shatner back in the day, but other things were hinted at, and this was a parallel universe where circumstances have changed so I'll forgive it!! MORE PLEASE!! Much more!!
177
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
It's definitely weird seeing the characters grow up... You could definitely see there had been a bit of air-brushing on Harry's 5 o'clock shadow! That made me giggle. You know what you're getting with the movies now... Great effects and characterisation. I do think it should have been stretched out believe it or not, but it's lovely to see the romantic interests starting, and is what you'd expect...
178
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (2009,  PG-13)
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra
I was pleasantly surprised by this film. I thought it was going to be far more cheesy than it actually was! Absolutely amazing effects, and constant non-stop action, and good characters. I would have loved an older glassification & making it slightly more gritty and adult, but hey... If you want action then this is your movie. Definitely a film you can lose track of time watching! And the eye candy is always appreciated...
179
Twilight (2008,  PG-13)
Twilight
Okay, so it's no wonder people are talking about this movie. It is absolutely beautifully done. I am so glad I finally saw it... It is everything people say & more & that is the truest compliment I can give. Watch it... Now!!
180
Knowing (2009,  PG-13)
Knowing
Hmmm... Nicolas Cage is himself yet again... It's a clever movie, but still trying a bit too hard. I agree with some of it, but I would rather my whole family die at ther same time and that quickly to be fair. Random, worth watching, but could have been much better!
181
17 Again (2009,  PG-13)
17 Again
Any movie that starts off with Zac Efron with his shirt off gets instant points from me. It was a fun movie. This format has been kinda milked, but it was still pretty good. Worth a watch.
182
Push (2009,  PG-13)
Push
This is a bit like X Men but without the silly costumes! I actually really enjoyed it! Some say it's flawed, but compared to crap like Jumper this is a brilliant sci fi movie, and quite original. I hope there is a sequel, because I love the darkness in this movie, and the bit of history. Definitely one worth checking out for any sci fi fan.
183
Watchmen (2009,  R)
Watchmen
I do love a flawed Superhero! If only this was a cross between Hancock & this it may be perfect! The first half I found confusing at times, but the second half & the characterisation were pretty genius!! I love a good mix up. I hope there is a sequal and they don't screw it around too much!
184
Blindness (2008,  R)
Blindness
This was one of the bleakest movies I have ever seen. It was a really interesting concept though, because as everyone becomes blind they become (non flesh-eating) zombies stumbling about. It shines an interesting light on humanity, dependency, and all kinds of human nature. There are times you want to turn away from the film as it is that bleak & you don't think it can get bleaker. A lot of white screen used, and a lot of extremely dark screen used. Clever in someways. Irritating in others. Worth watching, although maybe not owning!
185
Teeth (2007,  R)
Teeth
This movie is just so bloody wrong it's right! Definitely an original concept... Vagina Dentata... It's like having a built-in chastity belt! This movie is funny, spiteful, and genius! But as a guy, you will be reaching for your ging gang goolies... Watch it and giggle.
186
The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975,  R)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
This movie is simply one of the most entertaining of all time. Completely colourful, outrageous, and with fantastic costumes... Who can't relate to that? That's pretty much my life. The confused look on my little sister's face as she asked me questions about it made it even better! I can watch it again and again, if just for the sheer fact that it's Tim Curry at his sheer genius best...
187
Coraline (2009,  PG)
Coraline
I think this would have been better had I watched it in 3D at the cinema. It's a good movie, and the animation is second to none! It's like the alternative family movie that you aren't really supposed to understand. Maybe an Alice in Wonderland, but on slightly more acid & Magic Mushrooms... Intriguing...
188
Inkheart (2009,  PG)
Inkheart
There are so many things you could do with this idea, and so many effects that could be used... I completely drifted during this film because it could have been so much better. Pants.
189
City of Ember (2008,  PG)
City of Ember
This was really well done family Sci Fi... Even had a bit of Steam Punk thrown in. It was clever, original, and well worth a watch. With all the glittery movies we have being pumped out, this one was dark and grounded (literally).

Ian, I'm surpised at how close our evaluations are on so many movies! You obviously have great taste !!!
