Halloween (2007, R)
This is a good remake. Gets into the past of Michael Myers and helps you understand him and his killing spree. Rob Zombie made this film in a way that you could believe Myers would really exist in the real world. Good job in his directing of the movie. Decent acting from the cast. Full of tension and violence for a slasher movie. If you enjoy the original Halloween then I would suggest checking out this remake. |

Halloween H2O (1998, R) |

Halloween - Resurrection (2002, R)
This is one of the many sequels to the original Halloween film. Serial slasher Myers is back and has gone to his original home. A reality show puts a bunch of teenagers in the old house on Halloween night, Of course little do they realize that Myers is back and wants them all dead. You get all of your typical slasher killings in this. Nothing original but it does provide some humour here and there. I thought the Busta Rhymes and Myers fight was funny. Plus this is the last Halloween movie Jamie Lee Curtis stars in. If you like the other Halloween movies then you should like this as well. |

Scream (1996, R)
This is the best of all the three Scream films. The film is a great and original slasher story. It still has that typical killer going after people and killing them. But with a twist in the story. Very good. The film has a great young cast. One of my favorite slasher films ever made. Great characters, great story and lots of fun makes for a great film. Well worth watching. |

Pet Sematary (1989, R)
This was a good horror film. I've never read the book but this film was decent. Bascially about this family that moves into a new home that is near a pet sematary. But this sematary was a old indian burial ground with mystic properties. The dead are brought back to life. But they just are not the same when they come back. The movie has a solid cast and the story is very creepy. Well done horror adaptation. Well worth a watch. |

Alien (1979, R)
One of the best Sci-fi horror films ever made. From the dark look and small quarters of the spaceship made you never know if the alien would show up and kill the crew. With a great story and a good cast helped make this a good film. Great to see a female take the lead as the hero of the film. Also the look of the Alien is what helped make it so scary. One of those films that still stands the test of time. A worthy watch. |
|
| 13 |
Aliens (1986, R)
This is a great sequel. This time we get to see more of the Aliens and more action. This first film was great. But this film just added a little bit more action and made the Aliens seem that much more dangerous. The film has a great cast and with a great story and F/X that makes this a classic Sci-fi horror. |

Alien Resurrection (1997, R) |

AVP - Alien Vs. Predator (2004, PG-13)
I liked this film. I sort of liked some of the back history between the Predator and the Alien films. Nice tie in with Lance Henriksen character from the previous Alien movies. Overall I found this film has a decent story, action and gore for a typical Alien/Predator film. The only thing I thought was wrong was that they killed off most of the Predators to quick. But overall a decent watch. |
|
| 16 |
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (AVP 2) (2007, R)
Wow. When a town gets wiped out they get wiped out. Nobody was safe from the Aliens. Adults, kids, and even babies were victims. I am a bigger fan of the Predator movies so I enjoyed seeing more of the Predators home planet and technology in the film. The film was very graphic in violence. But I enjoyed the story overall. This story takes place right after the first Alien Vs Predator film. It is sort of a prequel to the future Alien films and also sort of mentions the previous predator films in the end. Check it out if you like the previous Aliens and Predator films. |
|
| 17 |
Predator 2 (1990, R)
The original Predator was much better than the sequel. But I still seem to enjoy this one when I watch it. It was great to see the Predator fight in the city and get to see more of the alien technology used. Some of the action and F/X are quite good. The acting is okay. Danny Glover and Gary Busey give decent enough performances. The ending with all the Predators coming out to Danny and giving him a gun from the old west days was neat. I would like to see a story about that. Overall a decent enough action sci-fi horror film. If you liked the original then check this one out. |

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998, R) |

White Noise (2005, PG-13)
White Noise turned out to be a good film. I wouldn't say this is a horror movie. More of a supernatural thriller. Overall I think it did a good job. The story takes the EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) and shows the dangers of it. You never know what you are letting out each time you try and communicate with the dead. I found the film did a good job to keep you creeped out just enough. You don't have to see a monster or gore to make a good scary film. Just knowing that something like this might actually happen is scary enough. Michael Keaton does a good job in his role. Overall I found this to be a good film. |

Joy Ride (Road Kill) (2001, R) |
|
| 22 |
Leprechaun 2 (1994, R) |
|
| 23 |
Stephen King's Cat's Eye (1985, PG-13)
This is sort of half thriller and half horror movie. We follow this one cat on three different stories. Based off of some Stephen King stories this is quite good. James Woods is great in the second story. But my favorite is the last story. You never seem to look at your bedroom as a child again as a safe place when you sleep. Well worth checking out. |
|
| 24 |
Saw (2004, R) |
|
| 25 |
Saw II (2005, R)
This is a decent sequel. This film ties in with the original film yet stands alone as a good horror/slasher film. The story keeps all the elements of the first film but brings us a new characters and new traps for Jigsaw to play with. I prefer the original though. The original had a much better ending. Still though it was a much better sequel than I expected. If you enjoyed the first Saw film then you should enjoy this as well. |

| 26 |
Seven (Se7en) (1995, R)
This is a great thriller about two cops who are trying to solve murders of a serial killer involving the seven deadly sins. The film has great performances from Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey. The film has great cinematography. Plus the story and look of the film is very dark and creepy. Plus one of the best endings to a film. A must see. |

|
| 31 |
The Grudge (2004, PG-13) |
|
| 32 |
The Ring (2002, PG-13)
This is a remake to the original Japanese verison. I have never seen the original but this is a solid horror film. You don't get the gore factor in this but you do however get many creepy and disturbing moments. A good cast in this. They all do decent jobs in their roles. The film has that look and feel you get from movies like the grudge or white noise. The F/X is well done in this. Plus the story is original and creepy to make for a solid horror film. The ending was quite good. Worth maybe a one time watch. |
|
| 33 |
Final Destination (2000, R)
This is a original and decent horror movie. Basically about this group of kids and teacher that were suppose to die on a plane but one kid got a premonition and got everyone off the plane. Of course this plane explodes and everyone is okay. For now. Death follows all these people to set things right. You never get to see death. It just seems like a natural force. Which I found original and neat. The movie has a great young cast and awesome F/X. Full of horrific death scenes and solid story made for a interesting movie. |
|
| 34 |
Jeepers Creepers (2001, R) |
|
| 35 |
The Silence of the Lambs (1991, R)
This is a excellent crime thriller. Anthony Hopkins is awesome as Hannibal Lecter. Also a good performance from Jodie Foster as the FBI agent hunting down a serial killer. The story and the characters are dark and well done. The character Hannibal Lecter is creepy and charming all in one. A great bad guy for the film. I have never read the book but this is a great crime thriller. Well worth checking out. |

Jaws (1975, PG)
A classic. The original will always be the best. This movie always gave me that little voice in my head if it was safe to go into the water. Steven Speilberg does a amazing job in directing a film that could have come across very cheesy. But with great acting from the likes of Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Murray Hamilton and Lorraine Gray makes this a good film. Plus the mechanical shark just seemed to work very well for this film. Nothing over the top on it but believable. A great film that scared a generation and still does to this day. |
|
| 47 |
Jaws 2 (1978, PG)
A solid sequel to the original Jaws film. Most of the original cast are back expect we do not get director Steven Spielberg on this. Even without Spielberg the film stands as a good sequel with more shots of the shark. Not as good as the original but the film has a decent story and solid acting from the cast. If you enjoyed the original then check this out. |
|
| 48 |
Jaws 3 (1983, PG) |
|
| 49 |
Jaws: The Revenge (1987, PG-13)
This was a decent fifth installment of the Jaws series. This time a offspring of the original shark is out for revenge against the family of the father who killed it's mother. Or so that is what it appears to be. It could be this family should just move away from the ocean. The movie has a good cast with Michael Caine, Lance Guest, Mario Van Peebles and Lorraine Gary. Much like the other Jaws films the shark appears and starts killing people. Not as good as the first two Jaws films. But worth a one time watch if you like the other Jaws films. |

| 50 |
Deep Blue Sea (1999, R) |
|
| 51 |
Leviathan (1989, R) |
|
| 52 |
Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954, G)
This is one of my favorite movies when I was a child. I still like it today. I like the look of the film and the story. Sure the special effects are not as good as now but the film is a classic. It is a fun old time monster adventure film. Worth a watch in pure entertainment. Set the bar for future films like it. |
|
| 53 |
Man-Thing (2005, R) |
|
| 54 |
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992, R)
This was a good take on the Dracula story. I guess it stays more true to the original novel then most films made of Dracula. The film has a great cast with Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu Reeves, Cary Elwes and Bill Campbell. Gary Oldman was excellent as Dracula. The film has that great look and style for a Dracula film. A excellent story and F/X for the film. Overall one of the best vampire movies out there. |
|
| 55 |
Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood (1996, R) |
|
| 56 |
Interview with the Vampire (1994, R)
A great vampire movie. Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise both give great performances in this film. The film is based off of a novel. I have never read the novel but the film was quite good. The story of a man turned to a vampire and we follow his life through the ages and his encounters with other vampires. The film has interesting characters and gives more of a solid story then some vampire films. Worth checking out for vampire film fans. |

|
| 64 |
The Amityville Horror (2005, R)
This is a decent remake to the original Amityville Horror film. I like the original a little better than this remake. But this is still a decent watch. I find the story more of a scare of the unknown than a horror scare. Ryan Reynolds is excellent in his role. The film has your basic spooky look and feel to the film. And it works. It does not try and out do the original. Just a nice refresh. Worth a watch if you liked the original. |

The Blair Witch Project (1999, R)
This is a film that you either like or you hate. I liked it. I must admit though at the time when the movie was first being promoted everyone thought it was based on true events. The hype and marketing helped sell this movie. This was a small budget film with three unkown actros starring in it. Filmed like a documentry the look and the acting made it seem like it was based on real events. The story and the fear from the actors was well potrayed. The movie does a good job to make the night shots and sounds creepy. You never see anything but it still creeps you out. Not a horror but more of the unkown supernatural. The ending will make you wonder what really happened. Worth a watch. |

Jurassic Park (1993, PG-13)
This is a good Sci-fi action adventure movie. Damn raptors to smart for their own good! Apparently people debunked some of the science behind the movie but is still a entertaning watch. Best of all the series. I have never read the book but I enjoyed this film. Steven Spielberg does a great job in his direction of the film. With the great F/X, great story and cast makes this a must see film. |
|
| 84 |
The Lost World - Jurassic Park (1997, PG-13)
This is a solid sequel to the original Jurassic park movie. Though not as good as the original film it still has it's moments. This time we seem to get more of a variety of dinosaurs. And we also get the adventure off the island and brought onto the mainland. Sort of reminds me of a dinosaur version of King Kong. The film is full of action and great F/X. Jeff Goldblum is back for this from the original. I just wish Sam Niell could also have come back for this. He was my favorite character from the original. If you liked the original film then you should also like this movie as well. |
|
| 85 |
Jurassic Park III (2001, PG-13)
The third installment in the Jurassic Park series is good but not as good as the original. It is great to have Sam Neill back to reprise his role from the original. It helped with the story and made the film more enjoyable. A solid supporting cast, a well done story and great F/X makes for a fun action adventure film. If you enjoyed the the other Jurassic Park films then you should come out enjoying this as well. |
|
| 86 |
Anaconda (1997, PG-13)
This is the best of all Anaconda movies they made. The film actually has a great cast with Jennifer Lopez, Jon Voight, Eric Stoltz, Owen Wilson and Ice Cube. This is your basic horror/monster film about a giant anaconda that tries to eat the entire crew on the river boat. Has a decent enough story and acting. Just pure mindless entertainment. Worth a one time watch. |
|
| 87 |
Anacondas - The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004, PG-13) |
|
| 88 |
Snakes on a Plane (2006, R) |
|
| 89 |
Python (2001, R) |
|
| 90 |
Tremors (1990, R)
This turned out to be a decent sci-fi horror. Starring Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward who live in a isolated town that all of a sudden gets attacked by some underground monsters. The film has a solid storyline and funny characters and dialouge in the film. Plus the monsters were well done. Turns into a fun adventure horror film. But they never do reveal how the monster came to be in the town. About the only real downside to the film. Worth a watch. |
|
| 91 |
See No Evil (2006, R) |
|
| 92 |
Man's Best Friend (1991, R) |
|
| 93 |
When a Stranger Calls (2006, PG-13) |

|
| 95 |
Disturbia (2007, PG-13) |
|
| 96 |
Red Eye (2005, PG-13)
A godd suspense thriller. Rachel McAdams is excellent in this film. Cillian Murphy plays a great villain. He is so charming at first then turns into this great villain. The movie doesn't have much action in it till the end of the movie. But the tension is great between the two actors. A good film to watch. Very entertaining. |
|
| 97 |
Predator (1987, R)
The best and my favorite of the Predator films. This film is a nice mix of action, Sci-fi and horror. Arnold Schwarzenegger is excellent in this. He seems so perfect in this role. Plus with a great supporting cast makes for a good film. The film has some great action and F/X sequences. Plus the look of the Predator was awesome. The predator has to be one of the best monster/aliens in movies to date. |
|
| 98 |
Psycho (1960, R)
This is a great thriller by director Alfred Hitchcock. A classic in slasher/thriller cinema. Many movies later took from this film. Basically about a woman hiding out at a motel after stealing some money. But little does she realize that the owner of the motel is not all there in the head. Anthony Perkins is great as Norman Bates the owner of the motel. He potrays such a creepy guy. The story and the cast are all great in this. And the cinematography by Alfred Hitchcock was nicely done. Great look to the film and style. A must see. |
|
| 99 |
The Lost Boys (1987, R)
A great vampire movie from the 80's. With a great cast of young actors in this film plus a great story and look to the film makes this a classic. One of those rare vampire movies that looks dated but is still a great watch today. Is a horror film but also takes elements of comedy and adventure in the story. Just a fun film to watch for some mindless entertainment. |
