1	Mickybo and Me (2005, R) This movie was a s great as I thought it would be. A very funny tale of the friendship of two young boys with some serious moments highlighting the effects of growing up during the troubles of 70's Northern Ireland. Superb performances from the kids here.
2	Angela's Ashes (1999, R) Great movie.. both sad and humorous in parts.
3	Far and Away (1992, PG-13)
4	Agnes Browne (1999, R) I love this movie. Irish comedy - Anjelica Huston is a great actress.
5	Ordinary Decent Criminal (2000, R) Good crime drama with Kevin Spacey playing a rather charming gangster. It has a good mix of comedy & action aswell. Worth a look.
6	The Magdalene Sisters (2003, R) Excellent Irish drama based on true events - with great performances from the cast. Its hard to believe that these kind of asylums were still running up until 10 years ago!
7	Song for a Raggy Boy (2002, Unrated) This movie is all the more disturbing due to being based on true events. Slow-paced but dramatic and hard-hitting.
