5	The Dark Knight (2008, PG-13) In my usual style with such big scale blockbusters, I waited until all the hype calmed down before viewing this film. I am so pleased to say that Heath Ledger truly did give a great performance in this and the film and character weren?t just hyed because of the tragic circumstances. A fantastic opening scene, this film is packed with content from the storyline, the huge all star cast, to the impressive effects and it was no doubt a huge job of a film to bring together and one that was worthy of all it?s praise. Along with Batman Begins, both films have taken the Batman series to a much more realistic level (if that is at all possible?). A personal high moment for me was the changing of (the ever so annoying) Katie Homes with the much more talented Maggie Gyllenhaal, with likeness noted. Jack Nicholson put his mark on the original Batman movie some 20+ years ago and made a great Joker, Heath Ledger stepped up the role to recent times with a different but fantastic portrayal of the character. Brilliant make up and the best Batman film to date.
6	The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008, PG)
7	Amazing Grace (2007, PG) A story that rightfully deserves recognition for it's place in history and opens the eyes of those who do not realise exactly what people went through during the slave trade years. Both storyline and cast were worthy enough in the making of a great film, however admittedly, I did find myself losing concentration in parts, despite the story being of great interest to me.

49	Nine Queens (Nueve reinas) (2002, R) I hadn?t realised the film CRIMINAL was a re-make, of course it didn?t take me long to realise that this was the original film. I usually prefer to watch the original first, but found both equally entertaining and enjoyed both portrayals of characters in each film. Always enjoyed the ending to this one.

62	Black Hawk Down (2001, R) Well this was a tough 2 hours and 10 minutes for me, I won?t deny. I don?t have a great track record when it comes to war films, but despite my slight struggle?WOW?never seen a war film like it! The film grips you from the get go and seems like an almost seemless transition from scene to scene, with much realistic bloodshed. Acted in a very natural way, I?m glad this didn?t received the over-emphasised Hollywood Action touch that many of this type of film has. This film definitely makes a big impact and certainly opens the eyes to the viewer in terms of what the job entails. If it can help my ignorance on the subject, I?m sure it can help many others too!

75	Seom (The Isle) (2000, Unrated) The first thing I did immediately after watching this, was to grab the dvd case and read the synopsis to try to understand the hidden theme to the film. The dvd synopsis claims ?The Most sexually perverse movie to hit our screens since David Cronenberg?s CRASH? Totally untrue, yes it has sex in the film, but certainly not to the degree of ?CRASH? Also says: ?Asia Extreme at it?s best? ? sadly I feel it?s Asia Extreme at it?s worse. In truth it surprises me I made it to the end, it seems a much loved film, I just can't see the brilliance.

97	Chasing Amy (1997, R) Clerks aside, I?m not a huge fan of Kevin Smiths?s work, Chasing Amy, however became better the longer the film went on. It is perhaps a little too loaded with the male fantasy idea of a story, yet ultimately relating to relationships in general. Sort of quirky.

120	The Godfather, Part III (1990, R) The Godfather films require stamina because of the length, at over 3 hours long, the film is not fast paced, yet elegantly created. The introduction of De Niro in the flashbacks gave another dimension to the already established story, which I?m sure is contributory to most fans thinking this was the best of the Godfather films. It?s a must see for any fan of this genre.

It didn?t start out too badly and thought it looked a little promising, but soon enough we entered a ?should I switch off or continue watching? moment, stayed with it, but was completely bored.
