More Little-Seen Movies Worth Watching

Though a bit weak on plot execution at times, overall this was an enjoyable action thriller. John Glover was rather Malkovichian in his villainy.

Moderately entertaining flick about a small-time gangster's taste of being a big shot.

This movie, like American Gigolo, seemed much better the first time I watched it.

George Peppard was a bit ridiculous as a German officer, but he played a good antihero. Overall the acting was very good, the war scenes excellent, and the air cinematography superb.

Despite overall poor acting, this movie delivers. It's a gritty, vigilante, shoot-em-up flick that gives the viewer some insight into the everyday life on the US/Mexican border.

When I saw the previews for this I thought it looked absolutely stupid so I was not expecting much. What I got, despite it's hokey humor at times, was a film that ended up being quite charming.

I always enjoy movies that can make societal statements in a comical manner.
A bit slow to develop, but by the end all the symbolism and character idiosyncrasies lead up to the hilarious final scene.

Well-done movie on a powerful subject.

It's always good to see people fight for what's right and this Depression-era story is a prime example.

Has perhaps the most out-of-left field ending I have ever seen. I can only imagine that there is a great deal of material missing in the final cut that explains the love triangle that certainly must have went on. A different ending with the material we were presented would have been so much better. Extremely reminiscent of Dead Calm.

I was expecting a bit more from this based on Roger Avary's other work. Some parts were good, but others were just humdrum. The music helped keep pace with the action. I thought this movie was more widely seen than what the number of reviews here indicates.

More of an artistic expression than a movie due to it's non-linear storyline and lack of a real plot. And, while this may not be for everyone, I found it to be a fine example of filmmaking. Rife with symbolism and a beautiful classical score, I would recommend this to film purists.

Disturbing and perverted, but yet alluring and artistic. Definitely not for the prudish type.

Quirky and entertaining.

Very well-done historical tale surrounding the potential mystery regarding Napoleon's death. Though it turned a bit too "whodunit" in the middle, the ending brought the movie back to what it did best - atmosphere - with it's beautiful music and directing.

The majority of this movie wasn't anything too special, but the last 1/3 or so really picked up and became a gritty little action flick. The open ending set to Erik Satie's beautiful "Gymnopedie No. 1" was cool.

Actually a pretty darn good movie for being Skinemax-type material.

Very well-directed glimpse into the intertwined lives of two bi males and the transsexual they both love. Ironically, Yasmine Belmadi died in a scooter accident this summer; his character tells Mikhail about a serious accident he had on a scooter.

Your typical Mel Brooks movie - silly fun.

This movie started out very slowly, focusing primarily on character development and giving an excellent glimpse into the everyday operations of a major aiport. But once the action picked up, and the characters were fleshed out, it turned out to be quite entertaining.
