A really beautiful and powerful movie about the obsession of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille (Ben Whishaw), a very individualist and obsessive person who was born with a exceptional sense of smell but ironically he has no scent of his own. His obsession was to find the best possible scent in the world.,
this film will keep you entertained from the start until the shockingly imaginative ending.,

i was once asked to describe any scent to put it in word, but i cant gave a single word, since then i personally think it is impossible for person to describe scent in word.,
but this movie will make you at least believe that you can smell what grenouille smell, and that is a very hard thing to do in movie,.,
i remember stanley kubrick once said this novel is unfilmable, but i must say he was wrong, maybe he admit it too up there in heaven, and give Tom Tykwer his two thumbs up.,
and i think Tom Tykwer absolutely deserved it, he is the one that makes this movie believable, beside the great play by cast especially Ben Whishaw and Dustin Hoffman.,
and this movie made me fall in love for Tom Tykwer (this is the first film of him i've seen), his directing is just beautiful, i can't even describe it in words, just watch some of his movies.,

for me, this is very great movie, but i do think it's not for everyone, even roger ebert said it requires a brave curiosity about the peculiarity of obsession to appreciate this film.,
so, give it a shot..

what a hilarious satire this is, total entertainment film by barry levinson, politics never be this fun before.,
this hilarious satire surrounded by many many great things, first the screenplay by david mamet (the writer) who produced many many many great dialogue, and also the cast, which for me is the perfect cast for this movie especially dustin hoffman.,
and now the ending, which i found funny and tragic at the same time, i still dont know how to react to the ending.,
and the funniest thing for me is, even now when i write this review down, i still don't know the producer of this movie, and dont really care, haha ( just kiddin, i will find that out immediately after post this)

now this is what i call entertainment, very very funny, great sense of humor, interesting and quality dialogues ( which is the best thing in the movie ), all-star cast, nice plot, easy to follow, brilliant choice of songs, nice action, all in all this is a great movie which require no effort to fall in love with, no wonder the rating of this film in IMDB is very high..
