Not as awesome as I would have loved it to be and as great as the other Foster films (in the meantime probably my new favourite director), but still very good and atmospheric. The shots of the kites were incredible. All the actors were great too.

Let's make a slow, long film where almost nothing happens, awful music not fitting the scenes at all (ooh, there's so much meaning behind that you just don't get, and all the political stuff, duude) and everyone will scream "Masterpieceeeee!!". Oh man, since when is a film a masterpiece if it has nothing extraordinary? No great score, no great cinematography, no great story. Yeah, great actor(s), but besides that. Ah well, still a good film of course, but far from a masterpiece. The last about 20 minutes though were brilliant.

I love musicals. I love Tim Burton. I love Johnny Depp. I love Helena B Carter. I love dark gothic movies. Did I mention I love musicals? This was the worst movie experience I've ever had in theaters in my entire life (at least as far as I can remember). No song, I repeat NOT ONE song had ANY melody AT ALL. It was just some text sung by the actors (all about the content), with no harmony whatsoever. It wasn't MUSIC. It wasn't the film's fault though, but the stuff it is based on (I think, don't know much about Sweeney Todd, is it already a musical just made into a film or what?). If the "songs" were made just for the movie, well it was the film's fault and it was even worse. I wasn't that bored in theaters for a looooong, long time (Although I didn't like There Will Be Blood either I still wasn't bored one second in that movie). Still one hour in I hoped for the first song with a good melody, since... well that's what you should get in a MUSICAL... but no, nothing, nada. In a musical. When I saw the trailer I already thought "wow that was a bad song but perhaps the movie will have some great tunes"... but it hasn't. Unfortunately. This movie wasn't supposed to be a musical (it still wouldn't be that good, but still better than now if it wasn't a musical).

Jumper
(2008, PG-13)
Pretty bad. Not ONE good looking shot in it. And the digital shots (Redone) were as awful as always. Pretty boring action too. Jumper 2 should be better though.

Well, as always by far not as good as everyone says (RT 95%?? WTF?), still one of the better comic book movies of course. And so far I hated Gwyneth Paltrow, but she was HOOOT. Anyway, no great images, no exciting action, and no good score at all unfortunately :(

Damn it, i can't believe I'm giving this one actually just a 7 out of 10... It was the biggest movie event since 20 years (besides Transformers)... and hours before my visit to the theatre I just couldn't believe I'm actually gonna see a NEW INDY movie. But then... the aliens came... It wasn't a bad film at all, actually better than most adventure movies, but it just wasn't a real Indy film :( Worst stuff: Aliens, Tarzan Shia and Aliens again.

I just love the atmosphere in Shyamalan movies. Yes, technically all his films aren't that great, but they easily keep up with the incredible atmosphere. Goosebumps. This movie was his first which had a clear message and no "turning point". 90% or more won't like it though.

Not as good as the previous one (which wasn't that good either unfortunately). A miscast, not that good cgi, boring story, boring action.

Not as awesome as everyone's saying, but still great. Could have been a lot darker though.

The worst movie I've seen this year, so far. What a fucking piece of crap. (Stupid) people talk about "great visuals". Wtf? There wasn't one single good looking shot in it. It has cgi effects... Woow, that doesn't make it visually great. Watch a Bay movie to see visually great stuff. There were about two good things (limo kill and Jolie)... other than that this was just as Shoot em up. Did try to be cool, funny, and what not, and was just pathetic. How can you make action so boring? Oh and yeah, wooow, it has blood, way to go! Like a (really) bad videogame. But the theatre experience wasn't that bad, since I didn't expect anything anyway.

Not as funny as I wanted it to be (which was to be expected), but it still had some laughs (which is more than 99% of the other comedies out there). Tom Cruise was FUCKING HILARIOUS! (Was almost at the same level as Jeremy Pivens Ari Gold)

Again, expected an even funnier comedy, but still. Some scenes were fucking hilarious. The Coen Brothers probably have the best/funniest sense of humor. Just way too few of those funny scenes.

I love all kind of spy / agent movies. I love all this "Pentagon/men in black suites and sunglasses" stuff. I also really liked Disturbia and was actually looking forward to Carusos new one. Well, this movie never really started. You're waiting for some kind of climax all the time, but before anything really happens it's "already" over. And still it felt like a 3 hour movie. Bad shot action (and boring!). And awful digital cinematography.
