Movies Based Upon Comic Strips

This adaptation of the famous comic strip by director Robert Altman is the cinematic equivalent of the old "good news" routine. The good news is that Robin Williams makes a terrific Popeye, and Shelley Duvall was born to play Olive Oyl. This is so wonderfully weird to look at and so much fun at times.

Bad special effects and a hacked-about script should have made this mixture of parody and homage a disaster, but in fact its tremendous fun to watch.

Not a bad adventure of the long-running comic strip heroine in this musical film.

This New Zealand animated movie based on the comic strip is my all-the-time favourite ones when I was a kid from reading in the newspaper's comic strips. This is much funny and exciting adventures of The Dog (border collie) and his friends.

Billy Zane did a decent job of looking like a believable square-jawed hero, but there was just no way to dress someone in purple spandex without them looking like a ribena mascot.

The computer-generated of fatty lasagne-loving cat looks fine and just funny. This movie is a fine entertaining, and using Bill Murray's voice was truly inspired.

Marvellous 3D animated of hungry critters go over the hedge to take a bit out of town. I like two critters characters are RJ and Hammy because they are more funniest and furriest on their adventures.

This sequel of comic strip's favourite femmine fat cat is more laughs than the original movie.
