Stephen Fry: 50 Not Out (2007, Unrated)
Stephen Fry is such an amazing man. Any fans of his should definatly watch this. If you've never heard of him you should because he really is truely amazing. There isn't a thing on the planet that the guy doesn't know about. Loads of people use to word genius too much nowadays but he really is, watch this and I'll bet you'll agree with me. |

Lee Evans: Wired and Wonderful - Live at Wembley (1983, Unrated)
Lee Evans is one of the funniest guys on the planet and he certainly proves my theory right about the British comedians being the funniest ever. If you've never seen him perform you should go on YouTube or something and after that you will need, not want, need to see this and all his other shows. He has me in stitches even though i've seen them thousands of times. |

Alan Carr: Tooth Fairy LIVE (2007, Unrated)
I highly recommend this stand up comedy dvd to anyone that is isn't British stand up comedy. It is quite essentially British humour so i'm not entirely sure a lot of the subject matter would translate across the sea. Alan Carr is extremely funny, so if you've never seen his stuff this this the best place to introduce yourself to his stuff because this really is him at his best. Mostly simple observations of life in Britain today, but along with his brilliant comic timing, he manages to make it extremely funny material. I love this dvd and I think i watched it about ten times one weekend, and i can't wait to go see him at this years Edinburgh Festival. Check him out if you haven't already. |

The Abbey (2007, Unrated)
Reasonably funny British show. This is just the pilot but I think it would be interesting to see it made into more episodes. It would have to have Russell Brand and Omid Djalili in it to be worth it though and the talks at the moment are suggesting that neither will be in it. Omid Djalili makes the show and Russell Brand's sarcastic character cracked me up all the way through. Definatly worth the watch. |

Jimmy Carr: Stand Up (2005, Unrated)
Another perfect performance from Jimmy Carr. I love that all his sketches are pretty random. Nothing seems to connect to the previous and I think it works really well for him. I like when he does a lot of improv as well. He does that better than most and there is quite a bit of that in this show. A really good stand up show that is perfect for stand up fans. |
