I actually don't own a lot of movies yet but here is a list of them. Some were sort of "gag gifts" but I mostly try to own just the movies that I really love. (in progress)

Not Miyazaki's best but still beautiful and brilliant! Brings to mind many of Miyazaki's other movies. I am glad I finally got to watch it. Unfortunately I have only seen it with the English dub so far. I will have to watch it in Japanese soon! I prefer the subtitled original versions of Japanese movies (and any foreign language movie, really) but the dub for this seemed decent enough.

Great movie for a great series. I think it was beneficial for me to have watched the series first but it seemed like the movie would stand alone pretty well. The sad part is that there isn't more. =(

ooh, I love this movie! Recently watched it again after many years. I loved it as a kid and I still love it. It is really a great little film. Interesting fantasy stories combine with the reality of a sweet little girl who has recently lost her mother and goes to live with her grandparents. She learns about the place they used to live and the stories of her past and the past of the mysterious Roan Inish.

Even with some themes of sadness and strangeness the film comes out with a feeling of happiness and warmth.
