Movies I Own

So, so amazing. There aren't really any words.

Hands down, my favourite zombie movie. Except, they're not really zombies. Whatever.

So, so, SO badass on first viewing. Didn't quite hold up the second time, but that's okay.

Not a great movie, but it's fun and super cute. Points for having Ewan McGregor and making me like Cameron Diaz (I usually do only about half the time)

Ye-AH! The music totally makes the movie. The supporting actors do as well---Alan Tudyk, Mark Addy, Paul Bettany, James Purefoy...kicked my ass collectively.

Delightfully sarcastic. Christian Bale is fantastic.

So fun! I had a crush on Dimitri when I was a kid, haha. What? He's sexy, for a cartoon!

Kicked my ass sideways. I actually cannot think of a single thing that was not done well. Such a great story, and so moving.

Magical. Makes me happy. What more do you need?

There are no words. That's a lie. Here are a few, for your enjoyment: Irish accents. Brothers with matching tattoos. Irish brothers with matching tattoos saying a prayer in unison, shooting people, and being hailed as saints. It's fun, guys. Really.

I love love love this movie. It's got just the right pacing, with kick-ass fight scenes, and honestly, how badass is Jason Bourne? He owns me, seriously.

A little slower than the first. I know, I know---it's mostly fight scenes, but I still found myself drifting. Anyone else? Just me? Okay.

Pretty freaking badass. I wasn't disappointed :)

I'm one of those people who think that, had this movie been about straight people, it would have been slammed as overwrought and saccharine. That said, it's a beautiful story, told with sensitivity (if slightly way, way, WAY too long), and the end gets me every time. Seriously. Sad, guys.

Two words: Timothy Olyphant.

Worthy of a Margaret Atwood novel, and that's saying something. Not to mention the excellent, excellent camera work.

Delightfully twisted :). Jamie Bell blows me away at the end, in the scene with Troy's mom. Holy!

Twisted! Hilarious and fun, but it's the cast that really sells it.

Probably pretty much the most amusing movie I own. Super cute, and Paul Rudd! Paul. Rudd!!!

Michael Mann owns me.

Almost as good as eternal sunshine and totally breaks my heart in the best way. I love stories that end unhappily.

I'll admit, I only saw this movie for Sean Bean, and so it's entirely possible that my opinion is biased, but---I thought it was not bad. Ripped off the Ring a little bit, but a pretty neat little ghost story in the end.

The fact that Billy Zane spends most of the movie wearing barely any clothing is the entire basis of my rating. That, and the fact that it takes place in the middle of the ocean. The ocean is worth an extra star, no joke.

I...don't even know what to say about this movie. Did I like it? I'm not entirely sure.

Twisted and hilarious. High points include Jon Stewart and Smoochy's crack song, but I love pretty much everything about it.

I own this one for purely superficial reasons. My friend and I like to watch it without subtitles and make up our own words, while watching the sexy French men kick ass.

Hilarious. No, it is. Because I said so.

There's something to be said for a movie that can actually disturb me. The whole play style, though, would have been much more effective had they only used it for the first chapter (introducing the town and residents, or whatever) and then gone on to a normal style of shooting. As it was it kind of got annoying by the end...which took much, much longer to arrive than it should have.

Serviceable thriller with pretty good pacing. Extra star and a half for Sean Bean :)

One of those movies that I couldn't find to rent anywhere, so I had to buy it blind. It's not bad, really---reminded me a little bit of Gangster No. 1, but better.

Oh my jesus my favourite movie ever. Gets me every time with the bittersweet and the incredible.

I don't really understand this movie. Why...? Just why? Good performances, though. Ashley Judd was kind of mesmerizing.

Very well done. I really knew almost nothing about Edie Sedgwick going in, so I can't say, really, how true they stayed to her story, but I found it engaging and moving, all things said. I loved the soundtrack, Sienna Miller was endearing, and the supporting actors held their own. By the end it had charmed me, and made me sad, and so I suppose it accomplished what it had set out to do. I even liked Hayden Christensen! ...Kind of.

The best movie about aliens taking over high schools that there is out there. Plus, Jon Stewart! There isn't a single member of the cast that I don't love---part of what makes this movie so fun. Also, it doesn't take itself too seriously. I like that.

Love! I saw this movie approximately eight thousand times when I was ten. Toxic Love is still my favourite bad guy song of all time.

Sarcastic, amusing and badass----while not quite the bible that some people seem to take it to be. "Missing monkeys found shaved," ---hee.
