Really awesome concept here how everything happens at the same time (11:14) of night. Told from different peoples lives at the same time using great perspective.

28 Days Later (2003,  R)
28 Days Later
Im not typically a huge 'horror' movie fan, but I have to hand it to these foreign directors in this movie. The story line is great...not your typical horror movie or zombie flick either. I like the end...no one lives.

American Beauty (1999,  R)
American Beauty
Usually I would not be into a movie with a pedophile, a racist, and a bigot homosexual. But something about the combination of all three of these makes this an excellent movie. The acting is really good on all accounts.

American Psycho
Christian Bale as a psycho, doesn't get too much more creepy than this. Bale already has that dark look to himself with his sharp facial features.

30
Bad Santa (2003,  R)
31
The Beach (2000,  R)
The Beach
Its great to imagine that there is one place on earth that is untainted by society, but at the cost of what. Betraying your friends, the ones that you love and leaving everything else behind.
32
The Benchwarmers (2006,  PG-13)
33
Benny & Joon (1993,  PG)
34
Better Luck Tomorrow (2002,  R)
Better Luck Tomorrow
I have a lot of respect for this movie. I actually met most of the cast in San Diego and they were really cool and just easy going...nothing of what meeting an American celebrity would be. I like the story line it is really good. The acting is great too.

Beverly Hills Cop (1984,  R)
36
Beverly Hills Cop II (1987,  R)

44
The Bourne Supremacy (2004,  PG-13)
The Bourne Supremacy
I like how the transition from the first film to the second film remains consistent even though it takes place 2 years later and it is directed by a completely different director. Even still this movie remains with the suspense and intrigue.
45
Braveheart (1995,  R)

50
The Butterfly Effect (2004,  R)
The Butterfly Effect
I really really liked this movie. I am not a huge fan of either of the actors, but it just goes to show that with a good producer and a good director what a movie can become. Even though this is a great movie I still have no respect for Ashton.
51
The Cable Guy (1996,  PG-13)
52
Can't Hardly Wait (1998,  PG-13)
53
Carlito's Way (1993,  R)
54
Cars (2006,  G)
55
Cast Away (2000,  PG-13)
Cast Away
I really feel for Tom Hanks' character in this movie. It really shows what amount of love can make one person with stand, it was sad at the end when he came back after all that time and his wife had re-married. I do not blame her...I understand it is just sad that SHE is the sole reason that he survived and now she is lost.
56
Castle in the Sky (Tenkû no shiro Rapyuta) (1986,  Unrated)
Castle in the Sky (Tenkû no shiro Rapyuta)
Miyazaki is an amazing art director and these movies would be nothing without his great talent and heart for these movies. His directions create so much emotion and love in the charecters that you really feel for them and you want them to continue on like you are a part of them and they are a part of you as well.

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (2005,  PG)
Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Again another great Burton film. The animation is so well put togetehr the movements seem so real. On top of that you have Depp and Bonham-Carter teamed with Burton again. These dynamite film noir have together been in a dozen movies...whether it is Bonham Carter and Depp, or Depp and Burton, or Burton and Bonham carter, or the 3 of them together. Greatness comes within these 3.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long) (2000,  PG-13)

Dazed and Confused (1993,  R)
82
Deja Vu (2006,  PG-13)
Deja Vu
Denzel is an amazing actor and I have a lot of respect for him...Tony Scott is an amazing director and I like how they team together to make outstanding movies. The first time that I watched this movie I was disappointed, and then the second time that I watched it I was really pleased and better understood the movie. When I think of Deja Vu I really didn't think about this movie...I thought about a movie more like 'Next' and since that was already made it made me like this more that is was like this and not like 'Next'
83
The Departed (2006,  R)
84
The Descent (2006,  R)
85
District B13 (Banlieue 13) (2006,  R)
District B13 (Banlieue 13)
Hands down one of the best movies I have ever seen. It is a pure adrenaline rush. The stunts are amazing how there are people scaling buildings and running up and down walls. The athletic ability alone in these actors is amazing. In foreign movies directors usually find SKILLS to more of an asset then ACTING. It is easier to train someone to act like a detective then it is to train Tom Cruise to scale cliffsides.
86
Dodgeball - A True Underdog Story (2004,  PG-13)
87
Domino (2005,  R)
88
Donnie Darko (2001,  R)
Donnie Darko
What a great movie about the understanding of time travel and who better to accompany you then a sadistic bunny. I like the young cast because they really seem naive to what is really going on and it makes it seem so real as they are supposed to be teenagers who are not really wheatered with what the world hold.
89
Down in the Valley (2005,  R)
90
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992,  R)
91

93
Edmond (2005,  R)
94
Edward Scissorhands (1990,  PG-13)

Classic Tim Burton involving the great Johnny Depp. Great artistic appeal with the typical suburbia. The soundtrack suites the movie very well.

Hero (2004,  PG-13)
Hero
I am a huge fan of Jet Li and this is one of the main reasons. This movie is so well put together with the beautiful cinematography and acting. This in one of many reasons why I prefer foriegn movies over US movies.
147
Hidalgo (2004,  PG-13)
148
House of Flying Daggers (Shi mian mai fu) (2004,  PG-13)
House of Flying Daggers (Shi mian mai fu)
This is a beautiful movie. I enjoy the scenery throughout the bamboo jungles. I was amazed by the ending where there is the neverending seasons changing while they are in an endless sword battle.

Hauru no ugoku shiro (Howl's Moving Castle) (2005,  PG)
Hauru no ugoku shiro (Howl's Moving Castle)

The Italian Job (2003,  PG-13)
The Italian Job
Nothing beats an all-star cast with great action and driving scenes. I know this is a re-make and I typically frown against re-makes, but this is so well done and thought out that it makes it amazing.
158
The Island (2005,  PG-13)

Joe Somebody (2001,  PG)
165
Jurassic Park (1993,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park
I think that the first of three movies was the best. I like all the build up and how everything is so real. I keep imagining what I would do in certain situations.
166
The Lost World - Jurassic Park (1997,  PG-13)
The Lost World - Jurassic Park
Story wise this one is most likely the best. I enjoyed knowing that there was a 'second' island most terrifying then the first. I also liked how all the dinos are just free to roam around, and how people would be dumb to capture a baby rex...like I would be dumb enough to capture a tiger cub let alone something that is 27 feet tall.
167
Jurassic Park III (2001,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park III
This one was not nearly as good as the other two. I do like the new variety of dinos in this one, and I also was delighted to see so many charecters to be offed in the beginning...because even a big gun is not going to save you from something that can squish you.
168
Just Friends (2005,  PG-13)
169
The Karate Kid (1984,  PG)

The Last of the Mohicans (1992,  R)
The Last of the Mohicans
I adore this film to the max. Not too many movies in my book get 5 stars but this is it. The cinematography is visually stunning. The scenery is spectacular...the concept amazing...the soundtrack to die for. The movie can only be described as how you react and feel while watching it.
