10 Things I Hate About You 4.0 Stars
Ah well. It's time I come out and say it. I like this movie. It's a guilty pleasure movie. But I am no longer ashamed. It's a pretty funny. Heath Ledger is great, as usual. Julia Stiles is good. Joesph Gordon Levitt is good as the love struck kid. The cast is great. Has some great moments, like Heath singing in the bleachers. Overall, a good movie.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 4.5 Stars
A pleasant surprise. This movie was made very well. The actors are all good, especially from Pitt and Affleck. Pitt can act if he is given a good director and Affleck is really coming into his own. The cinematography is beautiful, it should have won the oscar for cinematography. I also really dug the score. The best part of the movie is the assassination itself. It is shot so beautifully and executed so well, it is a wonderful yet bittersweet payoff. I like how they show Jese James for what he was. That he wasn't the greatest man alive. He was a crook and alittle fucking crazy. A great movie and should have gotten more recognition.

Bad Boys II (2003,  R)
Bad Boys II 4.5 Stars
Michael Bay is the man to go to for mindless action. That's really it. He doesn't care if his movies don't win Oscars. He just wants to make action movies that pump people full of adrenaline. Bad Boys 2 is his 2nd best (1st is Transformers). He reunites with Wll Smith as Mike Lowry and Martin Lawrence as Marcus Burnett. This movie really doesn't want to try to be anything other than a buddy cop action movie with a so so story. The story is just there as a catalyst to the action. Action that shows up alot. Michael Bay has crafted a great action movie with an amazing car chase made only better by the fact that it is done without CGI. This movie is funny, action packed and nothing more. A good ol action film to just watch, not analyze.

When Carpenter and Russell get together, you know it's gonna be a good time. This one ain't no exception. It's pure fun, right up there with Escape From New York. It's just 80's cheese to the extreme and I loved every minute. Russell again is a badass motherfucker as Jack Burton. Burton is a great character. The only thing in the movie that annoyed me was how shitty the gunshots sounded. Even when we were right next to a guy with a gun, it sounded like someone was shooting from a mile away. But it's only a minor blemish on this fun fantasy flick.

Such a badass film. Lets just get this out of the way. Don't hink too much when you watch this. Just sit back, unwind and let the insanity ensue. Statham is great here. Better than his more popular "Transporter" movies. The movie is restless and doesn't stop. The movie starts quick and ends quick. The ending is also too perfect. It also sets it up for a sequel (somewhat). A great action film. But compared to other over the top action films, like the Superior "Shoot Em Up", it isn't the best but still fucking good.

The best movie of 2006 and of the decade. Scorsese is back to form. He goes back to crime, but not Italian gangsters in New York. He goes up to Boston and takes aim at the Irish. Qith an all star cast the two top performances go to DiCaprio as the troubled undercover cop Billy Costigan. And Mark Wahlberg steals every scene he is in. Definetly best picture of the year and best director.

The Devil's Rejects (2005,  R)
The Devil's Rejects 4.5 Stars
After hearing Rob zombie was doing "Halloween", i was a little worried. I mean he has only made two movies and they were both connected to each other. And both were different than the style that "Halloween" is. That's what I heard anyway. I decided to rent his first two films. I couldn't watch "Corpses" because the cinematography was horrible. So I watched "The Devils Rejects", and i have to say I loved it. It was a masterpiece of horror cinema for this generation. Rob Zombie may have made a graphic, bloody, vulgar movie is because it's about a family of physcopaths and the sheriff out for revenge. It's like watching the Manson family at work. He also has better cinematography, great music accompanying the movie, and masterful performances. His wife Sheri is great at the sexy but crazy Baby Firefly. Bill Mosely is funny yet scary as the necrofeliac brother Otis Driftwood. Sid Haig becomes the crazy filthy clown Captain Spaulding. William Forsythe is amazing in his performance as Sherrif Wydell, who is searching for the Firefly family because they killed his brother. This movie is great, it should be both looked at and not looked at for what to expect in Halloween. Expect some violence, great performances, and a tight bond between characters. Just don't judge him to quickly. He may be the next big director.

The basis for the Sopranos is a fast paced action drama. Scorsese strikes gold again with the true story of Henry Hill. Scorsese enlists De Niro, Liotta and Pesci to bring the characters to life. He makes this two and a half hour movie go very quick. The movie is violent, vulgar and memorable for the ages. This should have won best picture, not fuckin Dances With Wiolves.

Halloween (2007) (2007,  R)
Halloween (2007) 4.5 Stars
Rob Zombie?s ?Halloween?. It is a very controversial movie. Not because of it?s content. But because it is a remake of a beloved horror classic by John Carpenter. Also the fact that people don?t respect the kind of style that Rob Zombie brings to the table. So a lot of people have a very negative opinion of this movie. And most of these people haven?t even seen the movie. Well, I have seen the movie. And it is one of, if not, the best horror movies to come out in recent memory.
First off, the prequel part of the story works extremely well. We don?t get an answer as to why Michael is the evil monster he becomes. We just get some reasons as to what pushes him over the edge. He is obviously evil before the fateful night he finally kills. Also the parts in Smiths Grove are good as well. We see Dr. Loomis try to help Michael. But Michael doesn?t know he killed anyone. We also see Michael fall into the mute psychopath we will all come to love.
The remake part is done extremely well. I feel this is the best act of the movie. We are given some familiar scenes, such as Michael watching Laurie when she is in school or the scene where Michael wears the sheet. But everything is given changes such that it all feels fresh.
The kills are done in such a vicious way that this ?Halloween? has the best kills out of all of them, beating out the shotgun impaling from 4. They aren?t very inventive, but this movie is about a killer trying to kill. If I wanted some inventive kills, I?d watch the ?Saw? movies again. Not many of these scenes are graphic, except for a throat slashing and throat being ripped out. Yes, out. But the movie is still bloody as hell. A lot of people have complained about blood being in it since the original didn?t have any. But my response is, where on God?s green Earth does no blood come out when you are stabbed? Exactly.
The cast, for the most part, is good. Daeg Faerch is very creepy as little Mike, making him seem innocent one moment and then creepy the next. Tyler Mane has made the best masked Michael Myers of the series. Mane is such a force to be reckoned with in this movie, Michael is scary again. Malcolm McDowell is a great Loomis. He is a caring person but also a sort of sleazy person. Scout Taylor-Compton is a great replacement as Laurie Strode. She has an innocence to her but also a grown up side to her as well. The only real weak link in the movie is, no one. Every delivers, some better than most.
I love everything about this movie except for the ending. It?s still a good ending, but it leaves things a little to open. But it is satisfying in a way to see a different ending that makes for the inevitable sequel, which will probably be similar and different than the original sequel. Overall, this is an amazing movie, a classic in my book. It is one of the best remakes ever, one of the best horror movies ever and the second best ?Halloween? ever. But it is not for everyone. And be sure to expect a different movie than the original or you will be disappointed.
