28 Weeks Later... (2007,  R)
28 Weeks Later...
A great movie but it is a lot more violent than the first one and not as personal. Changes moods frequently and works extremely well. The movie is very similar to the first in style and themes.

A Knight in Camelot (1998,  Unrated)
A Knight in Camelot
A great tale and animation, as well as narration here. Not quite as good as the original, but a lot better special effects. An excellent movie.
3
A Murder of Crows (1999,  R)
A Murder of Crows
This thriller has a genuinely original plot and is very well written. The plot twist isn't easily spotted and will definitely have viewers guessing for a long time. It's fast paced and well directed by Rowdy Herrington, who's really a director to look for. Cuba Gooding Jr. does a good job in the lead, proving he can well handle dramatic parts as well. Tom Berenger does well, as always, in a relatively small part as a tough detective. A Murder of Crows is a suspenseful and thoroughly entertaining thriller that deserves to be better known.

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (AVP 2) (2007,  R)
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (AVP 2)
The sequel after the original are excellent. The film returns the franchises to their roots, combining intense horror scenes with spectacular action loaded with extreme hardcore violence.

Body sob 19 (Body #19) (2007,  Unrated)
Body sob 19 (Body #19)
Body #19 is an interesting Thai Horror Movie with pretty stunning visuals. There are several pretty stunning scenes, most surrounding the central long haired female ghost, but compared with other Asian horror movies of that kind they propped up the scare scenes with loads of great visual effects. Scenes like when the ghost appears in the museum with hundreds of butterflies or the finale sure are eye candy. The whole cinematography of the movie is great. The movie revolves around a guy who lives with his sister and starts having strange dreams about a woman being murdered and her ghost haunting him to find her body. From here a very slow unfolding of the story begins which inter-cuts between several characters that are brought together in the end with a twist that to me seemed pretty forced. At least I have seen the Multipersonlity-Disorder twist done way better in other movies while here many loose ends are not connected but typically for Thai movies mixed with a pretty cheesy love-story and even cheesier music. The whole thing starts really promising, then gets a little hard to watch for its endless lag in playing time and in the end turns out to be a rather messy mix of nice ideas that just don't fit. There is ghost scares, not too little blood, great CGI effects and loads of drama and psychology mixed in. Some of the scenes could have become classics if the movie wasn't so stretched and disjointed. Anyway, if you are into great visuals Body #19 still is worth watching.

Casper Meets Wendy (1998,  PG)
Casper Meets Wendy
This movie is so cute. Hilary Duff did a great job as Wendy for this movie. I liked the white ghost called casper and some of the actors did a good job too.
7
Cloverfield (2008,  PG-13)
Cloverfield
This movie is complete crap. There were a lot of plot holes and the decisions everyone made were totally unrealistic. It was hard to stay in the movie because of the constant lapses of common sense and logical flaws. The characters were so weak. This may be a candidate for a Raspberry award. Total and complete waste of time.
8
Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002,  PG-13)
Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood
Very good movie. The costumes were very realistic, the acting was awesome, and it truly felt like it captured friendship.
9
Double Take (2001,  PG-13)
Double Take
Fun comedy with some twists and turns in it, especially at the end. Eddie Griffin is a comic genious. And Orlando Jones's not bad himself.
10
Dragon Wars (D-War) (War of the Dragons) (2007,  PG-13)
Dragon Wars (D-War) (War of the Dragons)
Fantastic movie. The CGI is fake looking, but it's more about the artistry and looking believable. The action ideas and the special effects are awesome.
11
Eight Legged Freaks (2002,  PG-13)
Eight Legged Freaks
This movie is awesome. The special effects is excellent. In the grand tradition of atomic-age monster movies, Eight Legged Freaks delivers everything you'd want from a giant-spider thriller.
12
Extreme Ops (2002,  PG-13)
Extreme Ops
"Look it's not easy for me to admit this, but the fact of it is, over the past 24 hours, I've fallen in love with each and every one of you. We're going to be pretty high up there and it's going to be pretty dangerous. And if anything should happen, I don't think I'd forgive myself. Especially you Silo, your quiet charm has cast a spell over me." - Ian

Actually this movie wasn't a total stinker. It had some good points, a lot of low points as well, but still some good stuff to be seen. The story was actually a rather interesting idea. The characters in the movie were all pretty good ideas, just not executed correctly. The two characters that were supposed to be super adrenaline junkies were good ideas, but weren't done justice. I'm not saying the acting was horrible or anything like that, I'm just saying that some of the things they were doing didn't look "cool", just plain stupid. There were a few stunts that they did that were really cool though, so it wasn't a total bust. The action in the film was actually really good at times. But, it was very often short-lived. For the actual final moments of the movie, let's just say it could have been better. Most of the actors did a fine job. Rufus Sewell did a fine job as always. Devon Sawa did a surprisingly good job in this movie. Bridgette Wilson did a great job with her role and looks absolutely fantastic throughout the movie. Jana Pallaske did an ok job with her role. She wasn't spectacular, but she did pretty good job given the material. All in all, I can't in good conscience recommend you go see this movie in the theater unless you just want to see some cool snowboarding/skiing footage.

Jurassic Park (1993,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park
The first big special effects dinasour movie. It must have taken a long time to research the animals behaviar and transfer their ideas into the screen. And I must say, this thriller dinosaur movie was good!
14
Jurassic Park III (2001,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park III
The third film in Jurassic Park series. The special effects were great. Awesome!!!!
15
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone) (2001,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone)
Awesome. A wonderful little story, both dark and light. Harry Potter is one of the few good fantasy series we'll see in this era.
16
I Am Legend (2007,  PG-13)
I Am Legend
Excellent movie. Liking the directing and pretty consistent story. Will Smith gives this pretty standard zombie film an edge that others don't have.
17
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown (2006,  PG)
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown
Good movie. Generally sequels have too much to live up to. However Ice Age 2 comes very close. An entertaining and watchable movie.

Life-Size (2000,  G)
Life-Size
The movie is a great. Tyra Banks and Lidnsay Lohan were really good actresses. Tyra Banks did a good job and Lindsay Lohan did an outstanding acting performance in this movie.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie (1995,  PG)
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie
Six teenagers have discover a power to fight the forces of evil. Now the fate of the universe is in their hands. Ivan Ooze has got to be one of the coolest villains ever.
20
Miss Congeniality (2000,  PG-13)
Miss Congeniality
Funny movie. Sandra Bullock gives us all hope that know matter how crude we, may be there is still a lady deep inside.
21
Monsters, Inc. (2001,  G)
Monsters, Inc.
Good movie. The characters were totally relatable.
22
Murder by Numbers (2002,  R)
Murder by Numbers
I like this movie, actually was really interested in both the story line and the character development.
23
National Treasure (2004,  PG)
National Treasure
This Disney production lives up to the tradition of good family entertainment. A satisfying finale with an intelligent script and good humour scattered throughout, Nicolas Cage is quite good in this movie. The plot was good, and the combination of historical legends and action was perfect. Very enjoyable movie.
24
Ping! (2000,  PG)
Ping!
Ping! is a mini Home Alone show for kids. Ping! is a delightful movie if all you want to do is smile and giggle a few times. This is a fun movie to watch when you just want to relax and laugh at something silly. The funny parts are when Ping "becomes" Macaulay Culkin and beats up on the bad guys. It is a stupid movie for most, but for us Chihuahua owners, it is a wonderful alternative to the Legally Blondes.
25
Poseidon (2006,  PG-13)
Poseidon
Poseidon is based on a novel, technically, although most will associate it with the original film The Poseidon Adventure. The character sequences are laugh out loud funny, thankfully they are brief and there are few of them. The boat being capsized happens very early on and the rest is all narrow escapes, countless explosions, lots of screaming and a needlessly loud soundtrack. The special effects are just superb, very believable and realistic. The characters are all predictable and the actors really try to bring something to their parts, but they can't. Emmy Rossum and Josh Lucas come closest to succeeding. Some of the early scenes are, of course, too predictable (even if Dreyfuss's romantic side seems a little displaced and unnecessary), as one just wants things go forward with the action. Luckily, on that end, in the tradition of bubble-headed (pun intended) thrillers with all the elements of a matinée serial, it's not bad.
26
Practical Magic (1998,  PG-13)
Practical Magic
Absolute movie. Brilliantly written, with great acting from all the actors. A charming and magical story about curses, love and of course, magic.
27
Religion, Inc. (A Fool and His Money) (1989,  R)
Religion, Inc. (A Fool and His Money)
This was just about one of the worst movies I have seen. 81 minutes of pure torture. Sandra Bullock is advertised blatantly on the cover but she has only a very small role. She does well in her role, but it is too small to help the movie any. The movie honestly has no plot, and pretty bad acting. The end is quite bad. I would not recommend watching, renting, or buying this movie unless you are into movies with bad acting and no plot.
28
Richie Rich's Christmas Wish (1998,  G)
Richie Rich's Christmas Wish
Good Christmas movie. It's so amazing to see how little David Gallagher and Michelle Trachtenberg were back then compared to now. This movie's on TV just about every Christmas.
29
Rocky Balboa (2006,  PG)
Rocky Balboa
"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

To me the perfect Rocky box set would consist of the original movie and this one. The ones in the middle became caricatures of the original, getting worse in each installment and turning one of the greatest story that the movies ever saw into a bad laughing stock. The other sequels were mostly about the fight with the private life of Rocky just filler until we get to the good stuff. But this, hopefully, last installment is the opposite. Sylvester Stallone wrote this one as he did with the others and of course he played the title character. What we see in this movie is a lot of humanity, which was an element in short supply in the other sequels. We see a man in the autumn of his life basically content in his world. He has achieved the greatest glory that one could ever want and now basically living in its ghost, yet for the most part he is living with it in the most gracious way. We see a strained relationship with his son, who is smarter, more educated and had it not been for boxing, probably more successful. The set up, how it happened, the outcome is not as important in this movie yet the fight sequence is just as exciting as in the other sequels. What's important is that the fight is a metaphor for the movie and Rocky's life. He's a guy, not dealt with the best cards and have to suffer some of life's most horrible blows and yet come out standing on his feet.

Romeo Must Die (2000,  R)
Romeo Must Die
The movie is very good. It had a good story, some love, a little gangster action and karate action.
31
Shrek (2001,  PG)
Shrek
This was great. It's a traditional fractured boosted by clever fairytales animation. It had a good story, taking the piss out of fairytales yet becoming one itself.
32
Spider-Man (2002,  PG-13)
Spider-Man
Cool. Very good movie. This movie is the best comic's adaptation. Awesome.
33
Sunshine (2007,  R)
Sunshine
Very good supernatural sci-fi. The film is occasionally quite predictable, but the overall complexity is what ruined it for me. The ending is a little weird, but in a good way.
34
The Kidnapping (Black Friday) (2008,  PG)
The Kidnapping (Black Friday)
Amy Carlson is the woman in charge of a bank's security system. Two dirty cops (played by the slightly washed-up duo of Judd Nelson and Thomas Ian Griffith) kidnap her daughter (played by Darcy Rose Byrnes) and a friend to force her to open the safety deposit box of one of her bank's clients and give to them its content. Meanwhile, an investigation about police corruption in the department is already underway. This derivative, think of it as a cross between Trapped and Don't Say A Word, thriller lingers too long on the anguish and fear of the desperate mother and the kidnapped daughter, which gives it a rather unpleasant taste. Still, the experienced director, Arthur Allan Seidelman, manages to get some suspense out of it in places, and Amy Carlson gives a very convincing performance, she offers more to the movie than the movie offers to her.
35
The Mummy Returns (2001,  PG-13)
The Mummy Returns
Great movie. Very interesting to know that Imhotep was a real person in ancient egypt. Thrilling scenes, great effects and tons of eyecandies.
36
The Princess Diaries (2001,  G)
The Princess Diaries
This is a excellent movie. This is about a girl who finds out her dad is the prince of a genovia and she's the princess.
37
The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising (2007,  PG)
The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising
All the ingredients are here for a fun fantasy adventure, but The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising doesn't even seem interested in itself. This movie has such a shocking lack of wonder and whimsy, two things all fantasy adventures must have. The incredible keeps on showing its face throughout the story, but the movie forgets to allow the characters to react or even respond to it. The storytelling employed here is of the most basic and episodic quality. Worst adaptation ever.
38
Titan A.E. (2000,  PG)
Titan A.E.
The story is cliched. The animation by far is a turning point in the world of animated features. From the start, the animation is exceptional. The characters are just portrayed so well. The actors doing the voice-overs put so much emotion into what the characters actually felt. This movie is great for family viewing.
39
While You Were Sleeping (1995,  PG)
While You Were Sleeping
Good movie. A lovely romantic comedy. The story is good as well as the cast. You will never get tired of watching it.

Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999,  Unrated)
Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century
Great movie. Kristen Storms do a great job as Zenon. The special effects are not good but the storyline was great.
