The Last Unicorn 5.0 Stars
I have read the book, and the movie was very much like it, not much difference. Very well written with interesting characters. I would like to have seen all of that included in the film. Some of the lines in the book had a sense of the profound, which may not have been meant by the author to be humorous in the film...as a child I would have fallen in love with this, for the Unicorn always captured my heart. Afterall, is is written on my body with tattoos.
I really loved how they included the medieval unicorn tapestry in the beginning.

I enjoyed this. What I really liked about it was we got to see the more intimate side of Kramer. What happened to his baby was not his wife's fault, and he was wrong to blame it upon her. Where was his own lesson here?
The hair trap was quite disturbing. Just horrifying. On the features the makers mentioned a deleted scene showing that Kramer had a spiritual side. I found this to be interesting. I will admit that some of this seemed a little confusing, as to the time frame in the morgue and the very end.

I want to know what happens in Alaska! And, there is no way that the fence would have held all of those zombies.

O.k., so this was nothing like the book, but it was still good. It made it seem even lonlier than what I read. I didn't expect it to be so sad. The scene where Robert and Sam are lying in the (beautiful!) tub, when darkness falls and the infected come out, speaks many things. We do not see what is outside in this scene, but we see it on their faces, and the way they are close together.
Excellent.

This was sad, and very strange...beautiful score. Imagine being fully conscious of your twin soul, in each life, and they being somewhat conscious of you...each time you try to save them, to be with them and love them...and you fail. Very interesting how the Mayan culture was so deeply involved with this. I would like to see more.

This was not what I expected, but it was still good. I thought there would be an actual sacrifice. But I thought it strange that the Mayans would still practice it. All the while I found the flowers to be quite beautiful and wondered what they were.
It was very interesting how they imitated the sounds around them. But I did not like when they mimicked the girl. They are very much like spiders.
What I don't understand is, why didn't they (the group, and the village people) just burn the vines?!
Good gore.

This wasn't too bad. Minus the costumes! And isn't Mordred supposed to kill Arthur? I don't care. Anything on Arthur I want to see.

I had wanted to see this for years. It was humorous and gory. West's character was played extremely well. This was not much like the actual story, but still it was good. While the film protrays humor, the tale is much, much darker. That one scene in the morgue made me think of Aftermath...I was wondering just how far they were going to go!

I really like the first short sequence...the man got the fear he wanted, didn't he? But the gremlin episode was always my favorite. He looked so demonic, just having a bit of fun.

I would not call this scary, but still it was good. I did not like a lot of the characters, and the special effects weren't so special--but I did like the statue taking off its face. The gargoyles were perfect. I like the idea of a house fucking with people's mind...changing shape, moving. I hated Emery and it would almost seem he had a subconscious taste for necrophilia...but at the same time I enjoyed hating him.

I read this book years ago. Parts of this were quite girly, others were better. Why did they have to get that pretty boy frenchman involved? Ugghh. I liked how Absinthe played a part, as well. I would like to see a film made about the history of the castle, princess, and bloodlines.
