Cold Mountain 5.0 Stars
An absolutely amazing and extremely moving and emotional film. A MUST SEE! This film has a very beautiful musical score, and contains some of the best acting (esp. by Renee Zelweger) that i have ever seen. The film is so moving and fast paced that the two and a half hours seem very short, and when the film ends, it leaves the viewer internally and emotionally moved. The visuals of this film are mesmirizing, and I must say again that It is a MUST SEE!

Il Fantasma dell'Opera (The Phantom of the Opera) (1998,  R)
Il Fantasma dell'Opera (The Phantom of the Opera) 3.0 Stars
First of all a tremendous Thanks goes to all the peoplewho lowered my expectations, or else i would have hated it. The acting is bad and the storyline is a sucky adaptation of the classic novel that is one of my favorite! I was quite disappointed by it! Dario Argento at his worst! The beautiful set pieces, and the amazing costumes, kept me from hating it all together. Asia Argento is not as good as she usually is...I was really dissapointed by her acting. From the leads, Julian Sands potryed the Phantom very well, and quite succesfully manged to make the diaoluge seem less bad...
A very gory remake, that is definately NOT scary, infact some of the gore is quite funny! I advice you to see it with very low expectations!

Chicago (2002,  PG-13)
Chicago 5.0 Stars
Chicago was a movie that was, since it's release was on my " should I watch it?" list...and after throwing that doubt away and picking it up in a DVD store, i took it home and watched it. I thought it would be alright, a film that will keep me busy...but how wrong i was, because it was not merely good but was spellbinding! All of the musical scores are just fab, and they will easily get stuck in your head, because of their catchy and amazing tunes. The acting is just...so good that i think there is no word for its excellency! Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renee Zellweger give a perfomance that is much more than admiring and amazing, They keep you glued to the screen until the last minute, and when the film finishes you just dont wanna say good bye to them...you almost just wish that it could go on and on...
I must say that it is a must watch, becuase you will get your money's worth!

An absolute must watch...with excellent acting by Reese Witherspoon, and Joaquin Phoenix, infact they were so good that they looked incerdibley real in their given roles. I loved every moment of this film, and i must recommand it to everyone, who wishes to have a nice time!

absoilutely different from the usual dark and gothic themes of his movies, but still brilliant and absolutely fab! The only things that tells you that its a Tim Burton movie are: that the score is by Danny Elfman and the quirky bits that are thrown in the movie, making it extremely enjoyable!

The Virgin Suicides (1999,  R)
The Virgin Suicides 5.0 Stars
Absolutely brilliant!
Sofia Coppola's first attempt at directing and is absolutely fantastic! The script is as good as the book, in fact I think that every thing from the book has been added into the movie. The music suits the film exquisitely, the acting and direction are both brilliant. I loved the interview like style of the movie, and almost the low budget (although I don't know if it was a low budgeted movie) quality of the movie is quite enchanting. It captures the dark humor and the bleak atmosphere of the book perfectly and to make is even better Sofia Coppola puts a bit of her spice in it to give is a steaming tasty brew of The Virgin Suicides!
