There's Something About Mary (1998, R)
Excellent comedy. I love this film so much. It's not usual that I should like a comedy this much but I really do love it. It never gets old. I must have seen it a thousand times already and I never get tired of it. I'm thinking this could be Ben Stiller's best comedy ever. If not, then very close. Cameron Diaz is brilliant. She plays comedy characters very well and this proves it. Matt Dillon is excellent and plays the character beautifully like no other could. |

About a Boy (2002, PG-13)
Great film and great book. The plot is excellent. But what I love most about it is the characters. Hugh Grant gives a great performance which makes a change because he tends to do stupid brainless romantic comedies. This one is different though. Rachel Weisz is brilliant and achieves the high standard that we've come to expect from her. Toni Collette is excellent. I've never really been a fan of hers but she impressed me in this movie. Nicholas Hoult is brilliant though. Stunning performance from him and he works so well with Hugh Grant. |

Wayne's World (1992, PG-13)
Very funny film. The plot is brilliant and Mike Myers performance is brilliant. His character is interesting and witty and you cannot help but love the guy. I've never really warmed to Dana Carvey's character but he is enjoyable to watch. The scene in the car is amazing and really is a work of art. This is must see film for everyone. |

Wayne's World 2 (1993, PG-13)
Decent sequal but obviously not as good as the first one. (Are they ever?) Mike Myers is brilliant and I love his character. I've never liked Dana Carvey as an actor but you can't help but love Garth. The plot wasn't as great as the first one and I think that's what let it down. I think this film is timeless because teenagers (and adults that are still teenagers at heart) will always be able to relate to it and enjoy it. Everyone goes through the rocker stage so I can't imagine who wouldn't enjoy it. |

Dumb and Dumber (1994, PG-13)
Extremely stupid and daft but for some reason extremely funny. This is the second Jim Carrey film that I ever watched and this was probably the reason I love him as a comic actor. It's funny all the way through, there are no moments of awkwardness it's just pure comedy and brilliance. A must see film. |

Big Fat Liar (2002, PG)
I really liked this film when I was younger. You can't deny that it doesn't make you laugh even just a little. The plot is stupid and the acting isn't great, but for a kids film, it's a lot of fun. Frankie Muniz isn't bad. I've never seen him in a proper role before. From films like this you can't really tell if he has any talent. He isn't bad in this but I suppose anyone could have done it. Amanda Bynes is as she always is. It isn't a great achievement when it comes to Paul Giamatti either. He's done a much better job in other films. I wouldn't recommend this as it just isn't worth seeing unless your twelve. |

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994, PG-13)
This is the first Jim Carrey film I ever watched and I even remember the feeling I that I got. I instantly fell in love with his movies and really couldn't get enough of him. I was only about twelve but I could see that he was a master at what he was doing. Even all these years later I still feel the same way about him. He's an amazing comedian and just has to pull a face to make me laugh. This whole film is amazing and a must see for all. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. |

Stuart Little (1999, PG)
When I was younger I was (and still am) a huge fan of Fry and Laurie. So when I heard he was going to be in this I was desperate to see it. However, even as a child I didn't really enjoy it. I don't know why. It is a decent kids movie and there is plenty worse out there but it just didn't do it for me. I watched it on tv again recently and I felt exactly the same. Hugh Laurie plays quite a pathetic character and his comic side doesn't get to shine through. Jonathan Lipnicki does a good job for such a young actor. Talking to a green ball or nothing must have been a bit of a challenge. Not a film I would recommend. It really isn't that great. |

Look Who's Talking, Too (1990, PG-13)
Better than the third but worse than the first. To be honest the whole lot of them really weren't that great. John Travolta's performance is poor and this could probably be considered one of his worst performances, out of the ones i've seen so far anyway. Kirstie Alley isn't that great either really. The best performance comes from the two annoying babys. I liked the first one because the voice was done by Bruce Willis. However, he isn't in this one. A poor film that wouldn't be a big deal if you missed it. |
