Movies I recommend

This is one of me most fun movies I have seen in a long time. The Planet Terror is a blast. Tarantino almost runs "Death Proof" into neutral with all the talking scenes, but the chase scenes make up for it.

Ground breaking Sci-fi. Set the standard for modern sci-fi. Still holds up today. Director's cut is better than original release.

Quality horror flick. I was surprised how good it was for a straight to DVD title.

One of the few cases where the sequel is better than the original. Well made with a twist at the end.

Probably the weakest of the trilogy, but still a quality horror flick.

This one was totally off the radar for me, but glad I rented it. Bruce Willis is very good.

Top rate drama. Wonderfully shot and intriguing.

Great monster movie. Again, a classic and one of my all time favorite movies.

If you are into these sci-fi franchises, then you are in for a treat. This is everything the first movie should have been. Great effects, good story and the movie doesn't hold any punches. This is evident in the first five minutes when some kid gets to know a face hugger. They take some chances and introduce some new ground. Also Reiko Aylesworth (Michelle from 24) is in it and she looks damn good. I would fully recommend this movie. Good times.

A gangster drama much like Godfather and Good Fellas. A very well acted movie. Viggo was cool, although we get to see WAY too much of him. It also had a couple good twist that I didn't see coming.

Truly a modern epic. The acting is some of the best. The music was a character in itself, keeping you somewhat uncomfortable. Definitely a must see and Oscar worthy.

Good script, good characters. In the same vein as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels or Snatch, just with more meaning.

Pretty funny. Not quite as good as Superbad, but up there. It had some good lines. Worth checking out.

Awesome zombie action. Rewrites the entire zombie genre.

Freaking scary and I think just a tad better (and more vicious) than the first one. Pretty intense.

This is a pretty damn scary movie once it gets going. Some genuine moments that make you jump. The unrated cut is pretty bloody. I thought they did a very good job with the lighting and sound.

Very creative and imaginative. I would recommend this movie because of it's originality. Jake Gyllenhaal was perfect in this role and Frank is freaking scary. I think this is the jist of what is happening on Lost.

One of the best futuristic thrillers in a while The director creates a believably bleak world that rivals Blade Runner. One of my new favorite movies.

These stars should go to eleven.

Pretty damn well put together movie. Loved the scene composition and the script was vintage Coen Bros. I still like There Will Be Blood a little more, but I can see how this film won the Oscars it did.

Glad I finally got to see this movie. Very intriguing. A great character study. The movie does an incredible job of taking you along for the ride. Jennifer Connelly looks pretty dame good before she gets too strung out.
