Swimfan (2002, PG-13)
The perfect teen thriller in which Ben is stalked by new student Madison Bell. The acting is great with both Jesse Bradford and Erika Christensen as stand-outs. The storyline has many twists and turns that are great fun to watch and the characters are very likeable, even Madison who you want to hate and like at the same time because she is so intruguing. Gets very exciting near the end too which does make up for a slower start. I'd highly recommend this to Thriller fans. |

Prom Night (2008, PG-13)
A reasonably good effort makes this a great Horror Slasher but beware there are many corny moments that will rattle your brain. Acting was pretty good with Brittany Snow as the lead and Johnathon Schaech as a very convinving killer. Storyline was also great if not slightly on the predictable side. It won't please everyone, and will in fact anger others at some rather stupid moments (who goes upstairs when a fire alarm is ringing, seriously?) but overall worth checking out. |

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (2005, PG)
Narnia is a great Fantasy movie that I really enjoyed. The characters are well written and it's a good storyline, obviously coming from a great book. Tilda Swinton is a stand-out as the evil 'White Witch' and the four youngsters also do a great job with their roles. I haven't seen the sequel yet but am looking forward to doing so. |
|
| 122 |
Thirteen Ghosts (13 Ghosts) (2001, R)
The general idea, concept and ghosts in this film make it what it is. When you really think about the acting and storyline you start to see some flaws, but how can that maze of a house and the creative ghosts be ignored. It's an enjoyable Horror film with good characters and storyline but it's the concept and general idea of the film that makes it what it is. Overall well worth watching for good Horror fun. |
|
| 123 |
Urban Legend (1998, R)
A reasonably good 90's Horror flick with a good storyline, cast & characters, plus a few un-expected twists and turns along the way. I don't feel Alicia Witt was a good pick for the female lead, but Jared Leto was good for the male lead. Better than the two sequels that spawned a few years later that's for sure. Horror fans should have some fun with it :) |
|
| 124 |
Deliverance (1972, R) |
|
| 125 |
The Emperor's New Groove (2000, G)
One of my favourite Disney films, and while it's nothing compared to the likes of 'The Lion King' it's still a very enjoyable kids flick to watch and enjoy. The characters are great, especially Kronk, and it's a simple yet effective storyline with some very funny scenes. Sure it's not a brilliant Disney film, but a worthy mention and worth checking out. |
|
| 126 |
Are We Done Yet? (2007, PG)
Again just as disappointing as the first one. Good to see the kids were less irritating this time, but gone was all the entertainment because the sequel was rather dull and boring. Some slightly funny bits here and there but simply not enough, and no strong storyline either. The character Chuck was also quite irritating, and in a way replaced the irritating kids from the first film. Overall worth giving it a miss, same as the first one. |
|
| 127 |
Are We There Yet? (2005, PG)
It's OK but painfull to watch at times because you feel like kicking those darn kids in the head. Way too many silly scenes that are obviously to appeal to younger children but irritate any viewers over the age of 13. Ice Cube is good given that the storyline and so-on aren't that good. Overall worth a miss because you won't get too many laughs out of it. |
|
| 128 |
Chicago (2002, PG-13) |
|
| 129 |
Scream (1996, R) |
|
| 130 |
Scream 2 (1997, R)
An impressive sequel to the brilliant first film in this trilogy. The sequel doesn't take things as seriously as the first one did with a bit more comedy as well as some laughable moments here and there. All the main players are back, but not all stick around for the third installment :P Good storyline, good characters and overall there really isn't anything bad to say about it :) |
|
| 131 |
Scream 3 (2000, R)
An impressive end to an impressive trilogy :) While it's probably my least favourite of the trilogy it's still a great Horror film and it was great to see Sidney, Dewey, Gale & Cotton back for a third time. The new characters were good, some a bit irritating, but overall pretty good. The storyline was also good and I always like it when we go back to the start to uncover some new secrets. There's also some unnecessary comedy, but overall it's a great way to end the trilogy with a great ending :) |
|
| 132 |
From Hell (2001, R)
Quite a clever little murder-mystery film surrounding the 'Jack The Ripper' tales of the late 1800's. Johnny Depp is fine as Inspector Abberline as is Heather Graham as Mary Kelly. The storyline keeps you guessing as who holds the true identity of Jack The Ripper as well which is always fun to play the guessing game. Overall a good film worth checking out if you're up for the chase. |
|
| 133 |
I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997, R)
In my eyes Scream and this film got Horror films back on track and introduced us to 'Slasher films'. While I Know What You Did Last Summer isn't a stand-out it's still a great 90's Horror flick that's nothing but good fun to watch. Lead by an all-star cast, some great characters, death scenes and The Fisherman will go down as one of the creepiest killers around; you can't go wrong with this film. |
|
| 134 |
Dying Breed (2009, R)
Loved it! Being a fan of Wolf Creek I knew that I'd like this one as well, also because I've been to Tasmania before. I'm also quite interested in the Tasmanian Tiger. Storyline was great with some moments of pure gold, some particular scenes stand out more than others. Acting was also very good with our leading cast all doing very well, including Nathan Phillips in a more outspoken and loud role. Wolf Creek fans should be pleased and I'd highly reccomend it to any Horror fans as well. |
|
| 135 |
My Bloody Valentine 3-D (2009, R)
A reasonably good Horror/Slasher flick (that I tried to watch in 3D but ended up watching the 2D version instead because 3D is very difficult to get used to). Some bits however were just a tad too corny, and obviously done just to get the kicks for the 3D effects (eye popping, axe throwing, etc.). Twist was good, didn't see that one coming (don't know if the original had that twist too or not) but would have prefered a better outcome. Acting was also pretty good, so overall worth a look. |
|
| 136 |
Jaws (1975, PG)
OK so some scenes are pretty good. I liked the opening scene with poor Chrissie becoming 'Jaws' first victim, but apart from that it's a rathet dull and drawn-out movie. The last 40 minutes are especially drawn out with only the last few minutes with some good old action. Obviously it's one of those films you must see before you die, but there are definitley better films out there. |
|
| 137 |
Perfect Stranger (2007, R)
I love nothing more than a Murder Mystery film, and this one really takes the cake. First things first; Halle Berry is a star and a shining one indeed in this film. Loved the storyline and it's always fun trying to pick who the killer is, and so-on. There's a twist in this film that you'll never see coming either and it's delivered brilliantly at the end of the film. Great acting, characters, storyline and overall a great film well worth checking out. |
|
| 138 |
The House Bunny (2008, PG-13) |
|
| 139 |
One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975, R) |
|
| 140 |
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009, PG)
Not as good as the last Harry Potter film but still a reasonable addition to the series with some highlights (and not to mention some lowlights). Storyline wasn't as great as there wasn't as much going on this time 'round, but overall you can't go wrong with the Potter films as they simply draw you in from start to finish. |
|
| 141 |
Meet Dave (2008, PG) |
|
| 142 |
Wild Child (2008, PG-13) |
|
| 143 |
Snakes on a Plane (2006, R) |
|
| 144 |
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984, R)
Freddy Krueger is the greatest Horror villain ever and this is the film where it all started. From the gory and bloody death scenes to the creepy moment of Freddy being sick and twisted; this movie really has it all. Heather Langenkamp is very good as the film's lead character Nancy. The storyline is easy to get slightly lost within it, especially the ending, but still very effective. For an 80's Horror film it does it's job and I was more than impressed :) |
|
| 145 |
Scooby-Doo (2002, PG)
I loved the cartoon so I was bound to love the movie adaption; and I did :) I don't think they could have found 4 better actors to portray Mystery Inc. as well. The plot is simple yet effective and even thought it's obviously aimed at kids I can still find myself enjoying it time and time again (because I've seen it quite a few times now :P). Great family flick well worth seeing :) |
|
| 146 |
Saw (2004, R)
A great start to what's ended up as a very clever series of Horror films (and who knows when they will stop as well :P). Such a clever Horror/Thriller with Jigsaw easily making one of the most memorable Horror killers around despite barely seeing him in this film. Even though most of the film is set in one small bathroom it has such a large effect. Some gut-churning moments that will stick with you long after the movie's over as well. Overall one for the Horror buffs! |
|
| 147 |
Love Wrecked (2005, PG)
An enjoyable teen flick thanks to a likeable cast lead by Amanda Bynes, who simply lights up the screen when she's on. To be honest the storyline is a tad on the silly side but it's a harmless movie with some good laughs to keep you happy. It's also very predictable but that's to be expected. It's the likeable cast and characters that really save this movie from being a dud in the end. |
|
| 148 |
Scary Movie (2000, R)
The Scary Movie films are just great to watch and this is where it all started. Scary Movie is full of great laughs and funny moments put together with a clever storyline that links Horror classics like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. Anna Faris and Regina Hall are just hilarious as friends Cindy and Brenda, and the series wouldn't be the same without them. A great comedy spoof that I would reccomend to anyone up for a good laugh :) |
|
| 149 |
The Cheetah Girls: One World (2008, Unrated)
It might be as corny as they come but I quite enjoyed watching this :) I'm a fan of The Cheetah Girls in general, and was also a fan of the R&B trio '3LW' that The Cheetah Girls used to be so I've enjoyed all three of these movies. The storyline is a tad on the predictable side but hey it's expected with a straight to DVD Disney film I guess. The songs were pretty impressive with some very catchy ones. Overall fans of the first two Cheetah Girls films will enjoy this one just as much :) |
|
| 150 |
Saw II (2005, R)
Better than the first thanks to a more interesting storyline, more characters and we start to delve into the mind of Jigsaw. I loved the idea of having innocent victims locked inside a house and we get to watch them drop one by one. Donnie Wahlberg is great as the male lead and Tobin Bell is of course brilliant as Jigsaw. Jigsaw's death traps and tests are becoming even more creative as you will see in the sequel. Overall an impressive sequel that will keep Horror fans more than happy. |
|
| 151 |
Sorority Row (2009, R)
An impressive teenage Horror with a great storyline, cast and characters. Some very memorable death scenes which is always a plus as well. You're guessing 'till the end as to who's doing all the killings which I always like. The final sequences are quite graphic (and slightly remind me of House Of Wax's final scenes) and show up great on screen. Overall an impressive Horror flick well worth checking out if you're a fan of slasher Horror films. |
|
| 152 |
Scary Movie 2 (2001, R)
Poor compared to the first 'Scary Movie' installment, but as a comedy it still does the job of making me laugh and at the end of the day that's what it all about. There's no real storyline or plot but the gags are quite funny thanks to the cast, especially Anna Faris and Regina Hall once again. Some jokes however simply didn't work (Basketball scene rings a bell...). Overall it's funny and worth checking out for a chuckle, but the other three Scary Movie films are much better. |
|
| 153 |
Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed (2004, PG)
A reasonably good sequel but unforntuatley it doesn't live up to the first film which I just loved :) All the main players are back once again and even though it's a creative storyline it's not as exciting and visual as the first film. Gags are still good with plenty of good laughs, mostly thanks to Matthew Lillard's work with Scooby. Monsters Unleashed does feel like it's aimed at younger children, but I can still manage to enjoy it with ease :) Worth a look for Scooby Doo fans :) |
|
| 154 |
Saw III (2006, R)
It's great to get some un-answered questions finally answered in this third installment from the Saw series, but compared to the first two films it falls short. I wasn't too fond of the killings, or the new characters, but I did like getting to know Amanda more. I don't know if having most of the film set in the one room (similar to the first) had anything to do with it or not but I definitley enjoyed Saw II more. Overall it's still an impressive addition to the Saw series and worth a look. |
|
| 155 |
Thirteen (2003, R)
A very deep and meaningful film that was hard to like at times simply because the two main characters Tracy and Evie were such horrible girls at times, but props to the actors Evan Rachel Wood and Nikki Reed who portrayed them very well. Holly Hunter was also amazing as Tracy's poor Mother Melanie who struggled to watch her innocent daughter turn into a slut. Not a very enjoyable movie to watch but it had it's moments, but overall an average look at a teenage girl's life turned upside down. |
|
| 156 |
Scary Movie 3 (2003, PG-13)
The Wayans Brothers are no more as the third installment gets Zucker's touch and boy did it work :) Just as impressive as the first; the storyline cleverly links 'Signs', 'The Ring', '8 Mile' and many more films in this movie. Anna Faris is back as Cindy, as is Regina Hall as her friend Brenda, and it makes you realize who knows what the Scary Movie series would be without them. Plenty of funny moments and jokes that had me laughing the whole time. Scary Movie 3 is well worth checking out! |
|
| 157 |
Cloverfield (2008, PG-13)
There really isn't any other film like it which is why I just loved it :) Stars off fairly slow but once the action kicks in it's hard not to be drawn in. From the Statue Of Liberty loosing her head to the attacks in the tunnels; this film has some very memorable scenes and all filmed with nothing more than a camcorder. You really feel like you're in the moment, shaky camera work and all, and it has such a great, and deceiving, effect on you. Overall Cloverfield is the monster movie not to miss! |
|
| 158 |
Spectacular! (2009, Unrated)
I saw it as a less corny & budget version of High School Musical but it was still enjoyable to watch. Nolan Gerard Funk & Tammin Sursok were good as the male & female leads but no real stand-outs for the rest of the cast. Storyline was very predictable but sometimes it's fun knowing what's going to happen next :P Songs were also pretty catchy and impressive. Obviously it's no real match for the High School Musical saga or the current Glee TV Series; but it's still good fun and wort a look. |
|
| 159 |
The Grudge 3 (2009, R)
Not bad, but obviously no match for the original or the sequel. The film pretty much takes off where the second one ended and I like that we finally get to see what really happened to Jake. Johanna Braddy wasn't a bad lead but compared to Sarah Michelle Gellar she's nothing. The storyline was OK, slightly boring at times, as were the death scenes. The last half hour shared similarities to The Amityville Horror which I found rather odd. Overall not bad but could've been better. |
|
| 160 |
Funny People (2009, R)
It's funny, but in order to really enjoy this film you need to be a real Apatow fan which I am not so I couldn't really get into it. Adam Sandler is slightly irritating as film star/comedian George Simmons but Seth Rogen is quite likeable as Ira. The storyline kind of goes off into a different direction half way through which is odd. The jokes are funny but if you're not a real comedy fan it's probably not the movie for you. Overall it's funny but only Apatow fans will really appreciate it. |
|
| 161 |
Anaconda III (2008, Unrated)
Not bad and definitley entertaining but it's nothing compared to the first two Anaconda movies. While the CGI work is quite shocking, the storyline wasn't too bad and the characters were good too. Crystal Allen was fine as the female lead but this film probably could have survived without 'The Hoff' there to screw it up. Good death scenes, good action sequences, and overall I was entertained throughout the film so if you're up for some corny Horror/Action then this is the way to go. |
|
| 162 |
Saw IV (2007, R)
The fourth Saw film in the Saw series is probably the least interesting despite having the most twists and turns. Jigsaw and Amanda might be no more but that doesn't mean their presence isn't still there, especially in Jigsaw's case as his work is still carried on. I like the fact Rigg (Lyriq Bent) is the main character this time as he's been featured in the previous three films. Good storyline, creative death scenes and overall an impressive addition to the series :) |
|
| 163 |
An American Haunting (2006, PG-13)
A reasonably good Horror/Thriller that has quite a few jumpy moments as well. It's probably up there in the top 5 or so films that actually scared me too. Storyline is good despite taking a different turn near the end. Acting is also very good with Rachel Hurd-Wood a real stand-out. As I mentioned the final moment of the film are quite a surprise and it's kind of a twist I never saw coming. Overall worth a look, but it won't please everyone. |

The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior (2008, PG-13)
A reasonably good sequel to The Rock's 'The Scorpion King' but obviously doesn't come close to matching it. It's pretty much everything you'd expect from a straight to DVD film sequel but sometimes it's fun to watch a corny movie like this one. Acting was pretty good, storyline maybe not so much as it seemed to drift around the middle before finding it's way back near the end. Overall it won't please everyone but fans of the first film might end up enjoying it like I did. |

Hostel: Part II (2007, R)
Better than the first (which I don't really remember too well) and despite being a difficult film to watch because it's so gory; it had a good storyline and characters, plus Lauren German was brilliant as Beth. The death scenes, well one in particular, will stay with you long after you see the film as it's truly disgusting yet brilliant for a Horror film. Eli Roth (director/writer) sure has a sick and twisted mind, but for a Horror film it's great and fans of the genre will be pleased. |

Sorority Boys (2002, R)
Nothing like a college movie to get some good laughs, and in the tradition of the 'American Pie' films 'Sorority Boys' is full of good laughs and jokes. Barry, Michael and Harland are hilarious as three college students that dress up as girls to try and get back into their original Frat House. The storyline is very creative despite probably being done before. There are a few hilarious moments that I laughed out loud for as well :P Overall a great comedy well worth checking out for a good laugh. |

Sky High (2005, PG)
A more than impressive Disney flick with such a creative concept, storyline and characters. Sky High is just a breath of fresh air compared to most kids/teen films coming out these days. Lead by an all-star and strong cast Sky High is perfect for kids, teens and even adults and appeals to all ages. The creative superhero powers are also very clever. Overall a very impressive Disney film I'd highly reccomend anyone to check out :) |

Scary Movie 4 (2006, PG-13)
Just as good as the first and third installments and still providing plenty of good laughs along the way :) The fourth installment of the 'Scary Movie' films is probably the most creative blending the storylines of 'War Of The Worlds', 'The Grudge', 'The Village' and more all together for one hilarious movie! Anna Faris and Regina Hall are back to provide even more laughs as well. While some jokes simply don't work, majority do. Overall Scary Movie 4 will keep fans of the series more than happy. |

Obsessed (2009, PG-13)
An extremley intense Thriller brilliantly acted by Idris, Beyonce and Ali with a strong storyline and characters. Ali Larter is perfect as the seductive Lisa, and Beyonce plays a strong role as wife and Mother Sharon. Irdis Elba is also quite good as the lead character Derek, but the ladies probably steal the show. A very intense storyline that really shines near the end of the film. Overall well worth watching and Thriller fans should get kick out of it :) |

House of Wax (2005, R)
Easily the best Horror film I've seen and my favourite film of all time. Why? Because it simply has everything it needed to be an effective Horror film. The storyline/plot is very creative and the whole 'wax' idea is brilliant. Cast and Characters are also spot on with very likeable characters portrayed by a strong cast (even Paris Hilton isn't too bad). Death scenes are very memorable and gory, plus some very cringe-worthy moments that complete a perfect Horror film that is a must-see! |

Saw V (2008, R)
Once again the Saw films deliver another great addition to the series with the fifth addition getting back to the goods similar to the first and second films delivered. While it can be easily to get lost with flashbacks, etc. if you really concerntrate it's not so bad (but it's one of those films best watched on your own so you can do this). I liked the concept with the five victims chained in the room, and I also liked Brit & Luba's characters. Overall another impressive addition :) |

Final Destination (2000, R)
A solid effort and addition to the great Horror films that have come out of this century, and it's spawned some great sequels too so it's great to go back and see where it all started. A strong all-star cast and a very creative storyline made this an instant hit and it's hard not to love it. Corny and cliche' maybe but still highly entertaining to watch. Ali Larter is a stand-out for me casting wise. Overall a great suspensful film that will make you think twice about life and death. |

Final Destination 2 (2003, R)
While it doesn't match the original it's still an impressive sequel that should keep fans of the first happy. A.J. Cook is pretty good as the female lead, but it's good to see Ali Larter back who continues to shine like she did in the first. The death scenes are once again very gory and some really stand-out! Acting was great, but the slight letdown was the storyline which did get a tad on the corny side here and there. Overall an impressive sequel well worth checking out though :) |

Final Destination 3 (2006, R)
An impressive addition to the trilogy that's better than the second and just as good as the first. The rollercoaster crash at the beginning of the film is a great opening to the film and could just put you off rolercoasters for a while. The storyline runs well and is lead by a strong cast, despite Mary Elizabeth Winstead not being as strong as Ali Larter. The death scenes are once again very creative and as gory as ever. Overall a must see for fans of the first two films! |

Saw VI (2009, R)
The best Saw film in the series! From start to finish this film will have you on the edge of your seat and I just loved it :D The 'games' are by far the most creative that any Saw film has had, and many unanswered questions are finally resolved. Fans of the series will be very impressed with the latest installment because it stays true to the first Saw films but brings in new elements as well. Overall the best of the Saw franchise and well worth checking out! |

The Final Destination (2009, R)
Another impressive addition to the Final Destination series, though it's probably my least favourite. Great idea and concept having the opening scene at a race track, and there were some very cool scenes and moments (I particualry loved the car wash scene :P). Could have been casted better as I didn't know barely any of the actors, and they weren't so great either. The lead character Nick had nothing on the previous leads either. Overall well worth checking out and it should please Horror fans. |

Turistas (Paradise Lost) (2006, R)
A very suspensful Thriller that will have you holiding your breath, literally, while watching it! I just loved it :) The concept was a great idea and the storyline, characters and actors were all brilliant. While it's slow to get going when the action starts it never stops. The final scenes in which the underwater cameras take charge really stand-out and are painful yet intriguing to watch at the same time. Overall Turistas is a brilliant Thriller that is definitley worth seeing. |

Titanic (1997, PG-13)
A brilliant film that doesn't deserve the hate it seems to receive despite winning 11 Academy Awards. The love story between Jack & Rose is well done and well acted by Leo & Kate. The storyline is perfect right down to the final dramatic moments of the ships sinking. The scientific moments of the film (especially the beginning) are slightly boring, but from the moment the ship hits the iceberg the action never stops. Overall a brilliant film and one I'd highly reccomend to anybody. |

Friday the 13th (2009, R)
A very impressive slasher flick and an improvement on the other Jason films I've seen. Storyline was a great idea and while some of the characters weren't very likeable, some were like Clay (portrayed very well by Jared Padalecki) and Jenna. Jason once again provides some very cool and creative death scenes that really stand-out. I also liked the fact that you thought the five characters at the start were the mains, but obviously they weren't. Overall a great Horror film and I just loved it! |

The Uninvited (2009, PG-13)
A very impressive Horror film that had the twist of all twists near the end! Emily Browning was an impressive female lead playing young Anna. The storyline was very clever with some surprising moments and a twist ending you will never see coming. There are also some very frightening and jumpy moments that had my heart racing! The twist is what really makes the film and probably wouldn't be as great without it. Overall a Horror film worth checking out! |

The Forsaken (2001, R)
An enjoyable vampire flick that's low on gore but still has a great storyline and likeable characters. Nick (Brendan Fehr) is a book of knowledge when it comes to vampires but he's one of the best charactes, and Johnathon Schaech plays the perfect villain along with Phina Oruche as Cym. It's low on action right up until the end, but there's plenty to keep you entertained throughout. Overall it's not up there with the great vampire flicks but it's one worth checking out :) |
|
| 182 |
War of the Worlds (2005, PG-13)
A great action packed disaster flick. Tom Cruise is OK as the lead, but it's the storyline and disaster scenes that really make this film. Some scenes in particular really stand-out, and without giving too much away some scenes are also a tad boring. Dakota Fanning is also very good as young Rachel as is Justin Chatwin as Robbie. Overall it's an action packed film well worth checking out :) |
|
| 183 |
Deep Impact (1998, PG-13)
The perfect disaster flick with some mind-blowing scenes near the end and a great storyline. While it's a little dull here and there seeing as the 'good stuff' only happens at the end, there is some essential character building that needed to be done. The space quest was rather interesting to watch too. Morgan Freeman is great as the President, and Tea Leoni is rather likeable as the female lead. Overall it's up there with some of the great Disaster films, and it's one not to be missed. |

Hairspray (2007, PG)
One of my all-time favourite movies, and a brilliant musical! The fun and vibrant atmosphere of the film makes it a joy to watch and the music and songs are so catchy and enjoyable. The cast really work well together and newcommer Nikki Blonsky is perfect for the lead role of Tracy Turnbland, and props to John Travolta for playing Edna. Definitley an improvement on the 80's original as well with a much stronger message and better performances from the cast. This is a must-see! |

Their Eyes Were Watching God (2005, Unrated)
This film really made me notice Halle Berry as an outstanding actor. The film is such a beautiful story of Janie Starks and her journey to discover herself and who she really is. The storyline has so many beautiful and also some sad moments but it's a great journey to go on. Halle Berry is the obvious stand-out and has portrayed Janie very well. The story's message of finding out about love and living is delivered so well and so clearly as well. A must-see and a film I just love :D |

Anaconda (1997, PG-13)
An enjoyable Horror/Thriller that's probably not for those who aren't the biggest fan of snakes :P Jennifer Lopez is surprisingly rather good as the lead and Jon Voight is perfect as our secondary villain to the Anaconda. Storyline is also good despite having stereotypical characters and corny moments here and there. Impressive deaths as you'd expect and overall a good solid ending makes for a good enjoyable film that has since spawned another three sequels since. |

Anacondas - The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004, PG-13)
Better than the first thanks to a good diverse range of characters and a great storyline. There's also more action involved as well, plus the Blood Orchid quest was a great idea and a rather interesting one too. Johnny Messner is great as the male lead, and KaDee is quite likeable as Sam. Still has its corny moments like the first but it doesn't ruin the mood. Fans of the first Anaconda film should be kept happy. Well worth checking out :) |

Quarantine (2008, R)
Brilliant! Easily the most realistic Horror film I've watched and this kept you on the edge of your seat right from where the action starts. It's slow to begin with but it wouldn't have been effective if everything started happening straight away. Brilliant acting, storyline, characters and the infected residents are absolutley terrifying! I totally loved it and would reccomend any Horror fan that isn't afraid of a good scare to check it out! |

The Towering Inferno (1974, PG)
Not bad for an old Action flick, and it kept me amused and entertained despite being a very long film. Great idea for a film and also not to have a particular villian causing the destruction like most action films these days. The two male leads worked well together as did some of the other characters. Some scenes stood out over others as there were some rather impressive (and sometimes amusing) death scenes. Overall it can still compare to our great action films these days, so it's worth a look. |

2012 (2009, PG-13)
Not bad at all and possibly the best special effects I've seen in a film, but with the good came some rather corny and un-realistic moments here and there. John Cusack wasn't particularry good as the male lead but Chiwetel Ejofor was quite likeable. Storyline was good and kicked into gear rather quickly. It did share similarities to both Deep Impact and War of the Worlds; both which were just as good. The final scenes of the film are probably the best, and overall its definitley worth seeing! |

The Unborn (2009, PG-13)
Enjoyable Horror film with a great storyline and one darn evil kid that's enough to scare the sh!t out of ya :P Odette is suprisingly good as the lead and the supporting cast are also rather good. Little slow to begin with but once those 'jumpy' bits start they never really end. Death scenes are also rather impressive :) Overall it's one of the better recent Horror films that have been released lately and Horror fans should be pleased. |

X-Men Origins - Wolverine (2009, PG-13)
Very impressive and should keep the X-Men fans more than happy. Wolverine is back in this prequel to the X-Men films that also features a few other familiar characters like Sabretooth & Cyclops. Storyline is great and keeps your attention easily with some great fight sequences and death scenes. Acting is top notch with Hugh Jackman the obvious stand-out, but Liev Schreiber and Danny Huston also do a top job. Overall I really enjoyed it and it's definitley up there with the great X-Men films :) |
