Mallrats (1995, R)
Sometimes I wonder if Smith's Clerks movie over shadow his othe films. I consider this his funniest movie with a better cast. London and Lee just deliver the hilarious monologues better then the CLERKS guys do. Lee gives a star performance here and really does stand as a hero for slackers. The story is pretty simple, but it adds for so much chaos and funny situations that it passes. Plus we get more Jay and Silent Bob without getting overdosed from them. Why some consider this his worst I might never now, but I think he shows his best here and makes me laugh no matter how many times I watch the Easter Bunny get beat up. And that's what gives a comedy it's staying power. |

The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (2003, PG-13)
A fitting ending to Jackson's epic tale! Again the story here is beautifully written and visualized. The characters are flawlessly performed and every moment is touching in it's own way. Still if you can't sit still for long movies, haven't seen the first two, or want nothing but epic battles(which you'll get) then you might want to stay away, but still check it out. You won't regret it. |

The Rundown (Welcome to the Jungle) (2003, PG-13)
Okay let me give you "the rundown" on this movie. IT IS AWESOME! There is nothing fantastic about the story or acting but it provides good entertainment! It's both humorous and a great action flick. There are a few moments that are cimeatic gold! The whole movie is very well shot and moves along well without being slow inbetween the action sequences. The Rock proves to be a decent actor and Walken gives another golden performance. So I'll leave you with two options. Option B is you never see this movie and spend your life wishing you had. Or optiopn A. You watch it and be entertained for fun filled, explosive two hours. Your call. |
