Tarantino does it again, the chaperized style, the gore, the conversations, its all back (except the 'trunk shot') but this time its even better, its hard to compare to his other movies but i'd call this one his best !
Christoph Waltz plays Hans Landa which is for me Tarantino his best written/directed character. His cool and calm personality with his funny but yet serious edge makes him legendary and one of my favorite movie characters of all time and i wouldnt be suprised at all if Waltz gets an oscar for his excellent performance.
The comedy was superb, hard to explain why because it's mixed with some very digsusting scenes but you'll agree with me once you've seen the movie. Brad Pitt his italian was for me the most hillarious.
The last scene in the cinema is what makes this movie so high class, a perfect direct scene with perfect acting and the amazing cinematography, i do want to say why i liked this scene so much but i'd ruin it, so you better go and see for yourself.
The music kinda reminds me of the Ennio Morricone western music, so does the first scene remind me of the first scene of Lee van Cleef in The good, the bad and the ugly. Also 'the dirty dozen' came into my mind when seeing the 'line-up' scene where Aldo Raine talks to his men.

Public Enemies
Mixed ratings about this gangster classic whom just entered my top 10 movies of all time. I was suprised how accurate the screenplay actually was, altho there where some gaps but you can't know everything about him. The acting was all great, Depp and Cotillard where the big stars, altho i dont think this is a character for Johnny Depp but he put of an amazing performance anyway. Christian Bale was also pretty good but again not spectacular, i dont think he's such a good actor as everyone claims him to be. The cinematography at times looked like the one of a silly tv-episode but when i got used to it i saw how beautiful and reallistic it was. I found that Michael Mann directed the movie in two diffrent styles, The rise of John Dillinger whom was more joyfull and more romantic directed with a more uplifting soundtrack attached to it and the second part, the Fall of John Dillinger whom was more depressing and sadly directed with more disheartning feelings and emotions. The action scenes where spectacular, not the typical american bullshit but this time they where truely realistic, just the way they should be.

City Lights
Is this the funniest Chaplin comedy everybody talks about? Only at the boxing scene there was a grin on my face and thats it. As a comedy this is nothing compared to Modern Times and The Great Dictator. Besides that it was a comedy i did like the story and the magnificant ending.

Grand Theft Auto (1977,  PG)

The Hustler (1961,  Unrated)

2012 (2009,  PG-13)
2012
The movie lost allot of it's originality because of the typical hollywoord cliches and bullshit but yet it stayed very suspenceful, but after a while you might get sick of see-ing that everything happens our that they escape everything at the last second.

The performances where overall 'watchable', no good performances but no bad ones either. Altho i think John Cusack would fit better in a comedy then in a disaster movie.

The special effects where amazing, the best ive ever seen. Roland Emmerich keeps suprising me with his talent of directing disasters with great cinematography, extremely good effects and great lightning but unfortannaly thats the only thing that he can direct with style.

As the maya's actually did predict the end of the world and that the screenwriters where able to turn that into a great suspencefull movie like this is amazing. But the comedy is highly missplaced, watching somebody die, even if it happens in a funny way is still not funny.
