Coach (1978,  Unrated)
Coach
I believe I saw the whole film - it was a long time ago though. It's a "guilty pleasure" kind of film - Cathy is a beautiful coach of a highschool boys basketball team and she becomes involved with one of the players - there is a very steamy shower scene!
2
Milk (2008,  R)
3
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983,  PG)
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi
Good film.
4
The Reader (2008,  R)
The Reader
I saw it and found it to be good. The "path" of the film seemed to be back and forth...the scenes of the woman and the young boy were quite racey! It was quite interesting.
5
Moby Dick (1956,  Unrated)
Moby Dick
I saw it for the first time, thanks to the library, and I consider it an excellent bible derived film.
6
Goin' Down the Road (1970,  R)
Goin' Down the Road
I watched this film and found it to be interesting. The best ever? I cannot say.
7
Thelma & Louise (1991,  R)
Thelma & Louise
I saw this one many years ago...a good film.
8
Matters Of The Heart (1990,  Unrated)
Matters Of The Heart
An interesting film about a May-December romance between an older woman and a younger man.
9
Fast Times At Ridgemont High (1982,  R)
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
WHooo! What a film with some great songs too!
10
Daddy, (Danielle Steel's 'Daddy') (1991,  Unrated)
Daddy, (Danielle Steel's 'Daddy')
Lynda Carter shines and Patrick Duffy is a dad you can root for. Kate Mulgrew was a strange casting choice and furthermore her character didn't make much sense in her actions or choices...
11
Logan's Run (1976,  PG)
Logan's Run
I remember seeing this years ago, perhaps even taping it, the highlight is very controversial.
12
Watchmen (2009,  R)
Watchmen
It's a fascinating, dark film. I can see reasons why the author may've denounced the movie but it raises the bar in terms of hero movies.
13
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009,  PG-13)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Interesting film and exciting but also a bit weird. Hollywood really lacks imagination it appears to me.
14
Three Colors: Blue (Trois couleurs: Bleu) (1993,  R)
15
Iron Man (2008,  PG-13)
Iron Man
I got the "special edition" 2 dvd Iron Man mask version. The movie is excellent though I didn't recognize Rhodey right away. It doesn't strictly follow the magazine origin and that's fine, it was more updated and perhaps more realistic than the comic. Gwynneth Paltrow was a great choice for Pepper as was Robert Downey for Tony Stark though Downey lacks the "aristocratic" bearing that the comic's Tony Stark seemed to have. How they dealt with Stane also was very good too.

Three Colors: White (Trzy kolory: Bialy) (1994,  R)
Three Colors: White (Trzy kolory: Bialy)
An interesting film but Julie is not as present within as I hoped or expected. She plays a very cold-hearted woman who receives "payback" in the end.
17
Elektra (2005,  PG-13)
Elektra
I saw it on my new dvd player (hurray!) and think it is a pretty good film...it may've not gotten good press or lasted long in the theatres but clearly Jennifer Garner takes her job seriously and doesn't slack off. I liked how they showed the precognition ability and the fellow who had animals morphing from tattoos was too weird.
18
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1972,  G)
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
I found it on a dvd with Paco and LIttlest Hobo...not bad but I really had a hard time staying completely interested in the film.
19
Fat Spy (1966,  Unrated)
Fat Spy
I've watched it and the film is pretty good but I feel sorry for Jane as she plays a bimbo character. The older characters are all basically "bumpkins" or evil and the dancing scenes are rather voyeuristic if not sexist. A decent film at best and one dvd I had no regrets about promptly selling to a "buy-sell" store. It's considered a campy comedy and that is the best description of it whether you consider it funny or not. Belongs close to the "Porky's" section of the store...
20
The Corporation (2004,  Unrated)
The Corporation
A fascinating and very important look at the corporation and evaluation of it based on its legal claim of personhood.
21
Who Killed the Electric Car? (2006,  PG)
Who Killed the Electric Car?
An informative film on the controversial removal and destruction of the electric car (electric trolleys too) and the fight to keep access to them...
22
Cougar Club (2007,  R)
Cougar Club
I found this on dvd and I really wish I hadn't...it is a so-so film as some people have already mentioned. It's basically immature and sexist to a great deal...if you want sex and a great story then I 'd say "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" is more realistic and enjoyable. A feature of the dvd is that the menu includes two "cougar models" - I think one was a dark haired Asian and the other a blonde caucasian. Based on what option you choose, then the model strips (its shown in a continuous loop). I preferred the dark haired woman as she seemed more natural and relaxed.
23
The 39 Steps (1935,  PG)
The 39 Steps
It was a pretty good film.
24
Broken Flowers (2005,  R)
Broken Flowers
A very interesting movie but not for those who are easily shocked...there is some nudity and in a rather questionable scene but I guess it was there to give an idea of how one character was, how they raised their daughter (she was actually named Lolita...so maybe it was a "joke"). Bill Murray as a Don Juan type? Well, he was an interesting one but I wonder if his acting skills are limited or if he was playing a very strange person...
25
Das Boot (The Boat) (1981,  R)
Das Boot (The Boat)
Quite a film; I saw it just recently on dvd and was able to run English sound on it. Rather scandalous in some ways, rather harsh in the realities of the war (sinking a ship and watching abandoned survivors jump and plead for help) and the sad ending...they reached home to be bombed by the allied war planes. War is an ugly business for both sides but especially for those who are on the receiving end of the bombs whether in London or Berlin, Tokyo or Beijing or wherever else war inflicts its hand.
26
The Ten Commandments (1956,  G)
The Ten Commandments
An excellent film especially the scenes of Moses receiving the commandments from GOD's finger!
27
The Ten Commandments (1923,  Unrated)
28
Da hong deng long gao gao gua (Raise the Red Lantern) (1991,  PG)
Da hong deng long gao gao gua (Raise the Red Lantern)
I watched only a portion of it as the library dvd wasn't working...but a fascinating movie to the extent that I saw it.
29
The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988,  Unrated)
The Incredible Hulk Returns
I did see this on the dvd that included another movie! Great!
30
Mean Girls (2004,  PG-13)
Mean Girls
I saw this and it wasn't a bad film and there are a number of actresses that I've seen in other films. It's too bad that Lindsay hasn't gone on to do better and better films....
