The Incredible Hulk (2008, PG-13)
Something about Big green monsters just doesn't make for a great film - whilst its a slight improvement on Ang Lees film - HULK just isn't a character I'm that interested in, prehaps its that you never really root for the HULK as he isn't really a 'good guy' when Bruce Banner is in his Alter-ego - the CGI though is a huge improvement but some of the action scenes are too noisy and messy. And doesn't focus on the action in the scene. |

| 35 |
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007, R)
Dark and Grim, Tim Burton does a great job of bringing the film to life, but unfortunately just doesn't hit the spot, 3 stars could be a stretch, the performances and direction are great though, so it picks up points there. |
|
| 36 |
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005, PG) |
|
| 37 |
Black Snake Moan (2007, R) |
|
| 38 |
License to Wed (2007, PG-13)
A few laughs, but nothing great, the whole movie is overly predictable, Moore and Krasinski play well together. Robin Williams while doing an OK role in the film, doesn't hit comedy gold, nor has in the past few films he has made. His little kid sidekick was a major let down, he should never have been part of the film, annoying much. |
|
| 39 |
Cloverfield (2008, PG-13)
If it weren't for the motion sickness inducing camera work, the movie would have worked well. I get what the director was trying to do with the camera work, but after a while it got too much. |

27 Dresses (2008, PG-13) |

Let's Go To Prison (2006, R)
Really silly movie, rented it thinking Will Arnett would make it worth while, but its obvious he can't hold a movie on his own, he definately works better as a side character. I loved him in Arrested Development but struggled to enjoy any of his other films! Really dumb with only a few funny moments. |

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008, PG-13)
A very disappointing addition to the indy franchise! The first 3/4 of the film were very entertaining, fit well with the original trilogy but the last 1/4 felt like a totally different film and was crazily over the top! |
|
| 55 |
I Am Legend (2007, PG-13)
First hour is brilliant, gripping film making. Its the second act which brings the film down, Smith holds the film together well, and if it weren't for the cheap looking creatures the film could score highly. The second act descends into a typical blockbuster (albeit with a suprising conclusion not expected from mainstream hollywood). |

Trust the Man (2006, R) |

Surf's Up (2007, PG) |

| 59 |
Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium (2007, G) |
|
| 60 |
Dan in Real Life (2007, PG-13)
A bit of a different turn for Carrell - reminds me very much of Little Miss Sunshine - which Carrell also had a similar more dramatic that comedic role. |

| 61 |
The Fugitive (1993, PG-13) |
|
| 62 |
The Ten (2007, R) |
|
| 63 |
Get Smart (2008, PG-13)
The biggest highlight was the performances from basically ALL that were involved. Although it felt as though the movie got confused in what it was though, comedy, action a TV show adaption or a standalone film?!?! |
|
| 64 |
The Dark Knight (2008, PG-13)
Truly incredible experience, Heath Ledger is amazing, he captivates every scene he appears in, leaving you begging for more - Nolan has crafted the ultimate comic book superhero adaption. |
|
| 65 |
Fantastic Four (2005, PG-13) |
|

The Prestige (2006, PG-13) |

|
| 68 |
Death at a Funeral (2007, R) |
|
| 69 |
The Ex (2007, PG-13) |
|
| 70 |
Hancock (2008, PG-13) |
|
| 71 |
Wanted (2008, R)
This film is visually exciting, but its nothing NEW or ORIGINAL, much felt like it ripped pages from famous action films like The Matrix, that said the action was good and exciting and the film was able to hold your interest. McAvoy took a while for me to get into - his character wasn't instantly likeable and it wasn't until 3/4 way through the movie that I really cared what happened to him. The story whilst had a few nice plot twists kinda fell flat - but WANTED is a good popcorn flick if nothing else. |
|
| 72 |
Miami Vice (2006, R) |
|
| 73 |
Michael Clayton (2007, R)
Clooney is brilliant in this film, however the movie suffers from poor pacing and a complex script not executed to the best of its ability ? it is however very interesting if you?re able to keep up with the script and/or stay awake ? the ending is a good payoff as well. Not oscar worthy ? but how many ?oscar? films actually live up to the hype. |
|
| 74 |
Pineapple Express (2008, R)
The comedy never really packs a punch - like what you'd expect coming from the guys that did Superbad and Knocked Up - there are some funny scenes - but they're few and far between - there is however some pretty enjoyable action scenes - particularly a car chase which incorporates possibly the funniest and most exciting scene in the film. |

The Bucket List (2007, PG-13) |
|

The Mist (2007, R) |

Into the Wild (2007, R) |
|
| 81 |
Charlie Wilson's War (2007, R) |
|
| 82 |
The Heartbreak Kid (2007, R)
Not a bad film has a few laughs but tends to drag especially in the last act. Danny McBride who I usually don't mind was horrible in this and fustrated me to no end. Ben Stiller was likeable as was Malin Akerman who I loved in the HBO Comedy The Comeback, but somewhere this feel flat, not farrelly brothers best, but worth checking out on a lazy night. |
|
| 83 |
The Strangers (2008, R) |
|
| 84 |
WALL-E (2008, G) |
|
| 85 |
Accepted (2006, PG-13) |
|
| 86 |
Vantage Point (2008, PG-13) |
|
| 87 |
Jurassic Park (1993, PG-13) |
|
| 88 |
Eagle Eye (2008, PG-13)
An insanely ridiculous plot line that somehow manages to pull it off, although barely, if it wasn't for the frantic action and LaBeouf's onscreen wit, this film would've fallen apart - you could've sworn Michael Bay was behind the camera, which was a distraction in some crucial action scenes, but overall was shot well, not exactly an original idea, it felt like a combination of Die Hard 4's computer terrorism thread and Terminators robots becoming self-aware. A possible 'wait for dvd' but if you're into action and don't have the home theatre to deck it out with, definately check it out in the cinema, because the action is quite obviously the main show piece. |

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008, R)
Another silly stoner comedy that offers quite a few laughs, the two leads are very likeable and funny and whilst there isn't anything new that is added to the comedy genre it passes by. I haven't seen the original so I don't know if the jokes are rehashed from the first, but as a stand alone, its a lazy rainy afternoon no-brainer. |

| 90 |
Gone Baby Gone (2007, R) |
|
| 91 |
Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007, R) |
|
| 92 |
Street Kings (2008, R) |
|
| 93 |
Transporter 2 (2005, PG-13) |
|
| 94 |
Prom Night (2008, PG-13)
Cliched and overly predicatable bland performances and hardly any scares to be had. Endless murders seem pointless and unnecessary and adds nothing, the film would've been better off building a relationship with the characters and the audience and make us feel for them rather than killing of a bunch of characters we don't know and don't really care for. |

Anaconda III (2008, Unrated)
I could've made a better film for $100,000........the graphics looked like they were developed by a helpdesk I.T. tech on his days off, the acting is hilarious, and even as a funny b-grade film this failed. Not worth the time, even if all you're after is a b-grade film to poke fun of, which was my aim with friends....waste of time. |
|
| 104 |
Australia (2008, PG-13)
A spectacular production with absolutely brilliant cinematography the Australian landscape provides the most dramatic backdrop of any film in recent memory - unfortunately the performances don't live up to the quality of production, expecially Nicole Kidman who took far too long to get into the role of her character. |
|
| 105 |
Forrest Gump (1994, PG-13) |
|
| 106 |
Punch-Drunk Love (2002, R) |
|
| 107 |
The Little Rascals (1994, PG) |
|
| 108 |
Four Christmases (2008, PG-13)
Not the best holiday film I?ve seen, but both leads are very funny and the film is a very light enjoyable romp ? there are some very funny scenes, but it has all been done before ? just not necessarily in a holiday themed film ? it felt alot like Meet The Parents/Meet the Fockers ? yet it was still enjoyable and worth it for a good laugh |

Untraceable (2008, R) |

|
| 112 |
Finding Nemo (2003, G) |
|
| 113 |
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008, PG-13)
Another success from David Fincher, an epic of a story, the pace is slightly slow, but its was beautiful to watch a film that takes its time in the development of the characters and the story, it was a genuine heartfelt experience and although the film was light on action it was a beauitful and very imaginitive story. |
|
| 114 |
Speed Racer (2008, PG)
Not as bad as what the critics panned it to be, the film is overly cheesy and is like going to a night club on ecstacy with the bright colours of film. Major complaint was the running time, as a childrens film primarily 130 mins is a little bit too much to sit through. But apart from that it is a pretty over the top fun film, of course you need to accept that the cheesiness is part of the speed racer legacy and all will be fine. |
|
| 115 |
Crank (2006, R) |
|
| 116 |
Be Kind Rewind (2008, PG-13) |
|
| 117 |
Sex and the City (2008, R) |
|
| 118 |
Tropic Thunder (2008, R)
The film has moments of utter hilarity, but there are some scenes that drag out - Robert Downey Jnr and Jack Black steal the show - and Tom Crusie reenters the atmosphere with the best cameo performance I have seen....in a long, long time. |
|

24: Redemption (2008, Unrated)
A particularly disappointing venture for Jack Bauer, was definately expecting mroe and think the show lost alot of it appeal by placing Bauer in an unknown territory without the help of his fellow CTA agents, I particuarly missed Chloe and just hope Season 7 is back on its game. |
