I like this, but I felt it went a little too silly.Pt 2 was a perfect combination of horror and slapstick but a little too much slapstick in this for me.Bruce is awesome,as usual.

The Firm (1993,  R)
The Firm 3.5 Stars
Solid if overlong adaptation of the John Grisham novel about a hotshot law student joining a shady, too good to be true law firm. The film has a strong cast, maybe a little too strong as a lot of them are wasted, like Gene Hackman who isn't given much to do.A few stand out like Gary Busey as a hyper private detective and oatmeal/diabetes spokesmen Wilford Brimley as a creepy villain. And you get to see Tom Cruise kick the living shit out of Brimley which is also good.

Lat sau san taam (Hard-Boiled) (1992,  R)
Lat sau san taam (Hard-Boiled) 5.0 Stars
Chow Yun Fat stars as a tough cop who teams up with a hitman to stop an insane gangster who's a major arms dealer. There's probably less plot here than in The Killer, but it's enough to support the ultraviolent, absolutely kickass action sequences, with the final showdown taking place in a hospital.Chow Yun Fat is his usual charismatic, badass self and Tony Leung is also good as the hitman. This is John Woo's masterpiece, one the best action films ever made. It's a real shame how far Woo went downhill after coming to America.Shoot Em Up cribs heavily from this film, especially the hero carting a baby around while blowing guys away.A must see for anyone who call themselves an action fan.
