Movies of 2005

the best sound and cinematography Ive ever seen in a movie. a great restart to a film series about this figure of american mythology. every actor delivered leaving me salivating for the next films in the series. the training sequence was brilliant and the development of the character bruce wayne was as complete and interesting as one could have hoped for. my favorite film of all time.

one of the most well acted films ever made, this is a touching sports masterpiece in an era where sports movies are all cliche and predictable. brilliant. i had to take off a half a star because of the inaccurate and unfair treatment of max baer in the film, but other than this point this film is perfect.

i usually hate these corny movies, but this one is fantastic. i laughed out loud at this silly movie and watched it at least three times the week it came out. this is one of those movies i saw with my friends and talked about for some reason, cementing it into my list of favorites.

this movie made me love scarlet

you never want to take your eyes off of the screen. They should have put the wall deeper into the island and a few other cues should have been taken from the original and the 70's version, but this was great. jackson cemented himself as a good director with such a solid follow up to LOTR.

underrated, this is how comic movies are supposed to feel

the computer animation was incredible, really good flick

great flick if youre into the era

i loved this flick. great subtle humor and very clever. you really have to pay attention to this film to get some of the nuances behind the humor and that gromit is a great character.

if youve read and liked crime and punishment youll love this, johansson is great

one of my favorite animated films. those leemers are hilarious

one of the best documentaries ive seen, great stuff about a nutball who gets eaten by bears

interesting but some of the scenes were out of place and shouldnt have been there. overall this was haunting and well thought out.

a lot better than i thought it would be

a really great flick. inventive and fun to watch.

a strong story, interesting cinematography and set design, excellent music, and perfect cast would have given this film what it needed to become an instant classic and one of my favorite films. unfortunately a few vulgar, typical, and pointless contemporary movie devices plagued this film a bit to take it down a few notches to an above average film. could have been great, was still pretty good.

good spin off, most didnt like it but i thought it was good enough

i liked it, i thought it was fun

really good flick. the twist was a little predictable and its ard to root for anyone in this film, even clive owen, but it was vry entertaining. the last 15 minutes of the film didnt need to be there, the film would have ended better at the hotel shoot out, but overall a solid film.

fallon has no screen presence but this flick is good

usually i hate movies that go too far over the top. this movie went way over the top on at least a few occasions but i still really enjoyed this movie. it was charming, combining action and comedy and pitt and jolie had great chemistry. there were flaws in the thinking and execution of the movie, but it was fun to watch.

decent movie, entertaining

the worst of the six, anakin was a little whinny punk the entire time and all he id was murder little kids and get set on fire. he should have been the one to hunt down the jedi. i was one of the few who liked the new trilogy until this one ruined the story. im not sure i can look at darth the same way again, the new trilogy should have left him looking tuff before obiwan beat him, instead he let the clones do the real work. weak.

not great but interesting

i was completely suprised that i liked this flick, fun to watch

basically "kids" or "mi vida loca" for a new generation. more sensual than i was expecting, and pretty silly and even a bit trashy. much like its predecessors in this sub-genre. not a waste of time because it was interesting from a sociological perspective, but nothing to recommend.

decent flick

decent, not great. fun if you like jim carrey

this was a decent family flick

far inferior to the first. they ruin the character of mushu and the ancestors are very different than in the first. feel good but not decent.

only good because it had the guys from 90210 in it

disapointing. biel looked good and i like josh lucas, but this should have been much better

although the music was pretty good and a few of the performances were solid, this film was an overall dissapointment. the plot was scattered and unclear and the story was told in fast forward. bravo for attempting to tackle tough subjects, but contraversy doesnt automatically make a good film.

mos def was great but the movie was terrible. although i did love richman as a manic depresive robot

inaccurate spiritual concepts all the way through, kind of goofy

terrible, maybe even half a star. boring and pointless, shows the depravity of war rather than the glory, which doesnt make for a good film to watch. makes marines look less like heroes and more like silly high school kids. this may be realistic but that doesnt make it a good film to watch. i only gave it 1 star because jamie fox was good in this one.
