Batman Begins (2005, PG-13)
the best sound and cinematography Ive ever seen in a movie. a great restart to a film series about this figure of american mythology. every actor delivered leaving me salivating for the next films in the series. the training sequence was brilliant and the development of the character bruce wayne was as complete and interesting as one could have hoped for. my favorite film of all time. |

Munich (2005, R)
although raiders of the lost ark is still my favorite of spielbergs films, this may very well be his magnum opus, and that is in the light of films like schindlers list and jaws. a masterpiece of the highest quality, every actor, every shot, every line was perfect. the screenplay was beautifully crafted by roth, and geoffrey rush put in a subtly brilliant performance. the musical score was also effective, and despite the long running time the films pacing was flawless. a stellar film. |

Cinderella Man (2005, PG-13)
one of the most well acted films ever made, this is a touching sports masterpiece in an era where sports movies are all cliche and predictable. brilliant. i had to take off a full star because of the inaccurate and unfair treatment of max baer in the film, but other than this point this film is perfect. if ron howard hadnt directed it i can only assume that the people in the story would have been treated more fairly. |

Grizzly Man (2005, R)
ive seen this film 3 times now and each time it entertained the heck out of me. herzog is obviously a master filmmaker, but treadwells story is also so interesting that it doesnt get old. the man was insane, but to see a man believe so much in what he was doing is oddly inspiring. a sad but thoughtful look into the mind of a crazy bear man. |

Sin City (2005, R)
a strong story, interesting cinematography and set design, excellent music, and perfect cast would have given this film what it needed to become an instant classic and one of my favorite films. unfortunately a few vulgar, typical, and pointless contemporary movie devices plagued this film a bit to take it down a few notches to an above average film. could have been great, was still pretty good. |

Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005, PG-13)
usually i hate movies that go too far over the top. this movie went way over the top on at least a few occasions but i still really enjoyed this movie. it was charming, combining action and comedy and pitt and jolie had great chemistry. there were flaws in the thinking and execution of the movie, but it was fun to watch. |

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005, PG-13)
the worst of the six, anakin was a little whinny punk the entire time and all he id was murder little kids and get set on fire. he should have been the one to hunt down the jedi. i was one of the few who liked the new trilogy until this one ruined the story. im not sure i can look at darth the same way again, the new trilogy should have left him looking tuff before obiwan beat him, instead he let the clones do the real work. weak. |

Jarhead (2005, R)
terrible, maybe even half a star. boring and pointless, shows the depravity of war rather than the glory, which doesnt make for a good film to watch. makes marines look less like heroes and more like silly high school kids. this may be realistic but that doesnt make it a good film to watch. i only gave it 1 star because jamie fox was good in this one. |
