a wondefully acted and story about corrked cops who live in a small town to escape from the mayhem of the city and a town sherrfif who slowly finds out that his friends in the town are crooked and dirty. When one of their own runs away from the police after almost getting killed, stallone enlist the aid of his best freind ray liotta to help bring the kid to the city and to testify against his so called friends even though his friend the cops will do anything to destroy stallone if he decides to do the right thing. With some good performances from ray liotta, robert de niro, peter berg, michael rappaport, harvey kietel, robert patricj and a standout stallone along with a good story and some good emotional moments help make this a minor classic of the late 90's

two different kind of men, one working for a big firm and another an ex alcoholic trying to get his lfie togetehr get into a car accident. when the one working for the big firm decides to faul to wait for the polcie and jets off the other man becomes late for his meeting with his ex wife and lawyewr about spousal support. This begins a chain of events which will spiral out of control and bring two men into complete chaos. With three wonderful performances from samuiel L jackson as the ex alcoholic, ben afleck as the big time employee at a firm and william hurt as the aa councillor trying to help samuel to get off drinking, and with a good story and some very good sequences makes this a good film.


worth watcing and owning.

an engrosing and wonderfully acted film based on ther true life story of famed boxer Jim Braddock who was a famous and respected boxer until the dirty thirties kicked in. The drought cause a lot of people out of jobs and made them poor. Jijm facing the fact that he is a bit old to box like he use to, ends up working hard to struggle with finding food and money to pay rent for his family. When times seemed sparred and his boxing career almosyt non exsistent, an up and coming boxer decides to give an underdog his due not kwnoing that jim was one of the best. Whenn he get the opportunity to box against one of the biggest boxers of the era, the people and milliona scheerd and gave jim braddock the hope that he longed for during the lean years.

with an engrssing performance from Russell crowe and supported by good perforamnces from paul giamatti, bruce mcgill and craig beirko along with rousing boxing sequences, a very good story and wonderful direction from ron howard help make this a crowd pleasing motion picture.
