Spielberg's masterpiece!

This is the start of one of the best trilogies in cinema history. My favorite of the trilogy, this film depicts the different mafias of America and the corrupted law enforcement system here. Al Pacino acts the part great, Marlon Brando is spectacular. A true gangster film classic.

I know everyone has already said this, but... this really is one of the best sequels EVER made! De Niro and Pacino do spectacular performances. Not as good as the first, yet still amazing!

One of the best films I have laid my eyes on. Truly inspiring... that teaches us a great deal in the human spirit. Great achievement in cinema history.

Deeply moving tale about the injustice the prison system might bring. Frank Darabont's take on the novel by Stephen King, The Green Mile, is beautiful and touching. My second favorite Frank Darabont film, right after The Shawshank Redemption. Michael Clarke Duncan gave an excellent performance. This man can clearly act brilliantly, but these days he's been choosing poor film roles. Tom Hanks? Great as always. I didn't cry on this film, but it is definitely one of the saddest movies I have seen in my short life. Great film to watch on an evening.

Batman Begins is definitely the best Batman movie I have seen. I've been a Batman fan ever since I was born, and this film was perfect for me at the time it came out back in summer 2005. Christopher Nolan reinvented the franchise in a realistic way. Cinematically, this film is amazing. In my opinion, it is not even considered a "superhero" movie, but a drama/thriller.
Christian Bale IS Batman. No more Batnipples, no more Clooney. Goodbye Joel Schumacher, here comes Christopher Nolan.

Good adaptation of the second book in the series!

My personal favorite of the series. Alfonso Cuaron has proven that he can save a franchise with a fitting style, mood, and pace. The previous two films (Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets) were... "good"... they just followed the book straight. That didn't work out really well. The film has to stand on its own two feet and still be faithful to the book. Prisoner of Azkaban did just that. Cuaron made a spectacular HP film with stunning cinematography and visual effects... the mood was perfect for this film. Deliciously dark. This film has made the next Potter films be a little loose to the books, making better adaptations than what Chris Columbus had originally planned. Clearly, the third is the better movie of the four HP movies at the moment. I hope "Order of the Phoenix" is as good as this... even better.

Entertaining... but lacked something.

A tremendous improvement over the last film "Goblet of Fire" which was plain choppy.
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" by newcomer David Yates is done wonderfully great. Though alot of scenes had to be cut from the 900 paged book. Yates and Goldenberg (new screenplay writer for this movie) got the "most important" ones he could find from the novel and adapted a brilliant film. Much darker than the previous ones in the series, "Order of the Phoenix" does not disappoint. It does not have that kid-friendly magical feel the previous ones had, though it did get a nice serious, or Sirius-ly, mood. My second favorite so far from the series. "Prisoner of Azkaban" will be hard to top, pure brilliance from Alfonso Cuaron.
Daniel Radcliffe has definately improved his acting skills, it clearly shows here. Next year's "Half-Blood Prince" will be an improvement once again since he has just finished the tour on the play Equus across England. Imelda Staunton plays the part of Dolores Umbridge perfectly in an evil way. You will hate her character, brilliant performance.
A great "Harry Potter" adaptation that the book fans will either love or hate. In my case, i liked it... though not as much as "Prisoner of Azkaban". Still, a great film to spend money on at the theater. Can't wait for the release of the last book, "Deathly Hallows".

One of the best westerns in cinema history. Sergio Leone created a magnificente western masterpiece. Even thought it was shot and made in Italy, this film never loses the touch of the good, the bad, and the ugly western.

This film also includes one of the most famous and unforgettable scores ever composed on a film. Ennio Morricone is a true genious. Don't forget about the badass Clint Eastwood!

A true Scorsese masterpiece! "Taxi Driver" is about a lonely taxi driver man called Travis Bickle, played brilliantly by Robert DeNiro, who is sick and tired of the "scum" walking the streets of New York. "God's Lonely Man" lives an empty life... this film's dark shots play a perfect mood for this emotional story. This film is a classic, also with its famous "You talkin' to me??" scene.

I finally got to own this film on DVD.... I've been wanting to buy this film for quite a while now but never could get hold of it, now that the special CE came out all I can say is... this edition is amazing! All it needs is a comentary by Scorsese himself, though it does have one from the screenwriter which is great also. The special features are amazing and worth the price of the DVD. It was worth it waiting for this edition to come out. Scorsese is a genius! A+ fuckin' plus!

Excellent performance by De Niro, Pesci, Moriarty... but most importantly Robert De Niro. He plays the part of Jake La Motta extremely well, one of the best performances ever. Scorsese did an excellent job in this film. The editing is just as wonderful also.
Martin Scorsese is really one of the best directors out there today... I can't believe he didn't get an Oscar for this.

One of the best gangster films in cinema history, Scorsese depicts the life of the past gangsters very realistically. Pesci was absolutely hilarious in this film, appearing in awesome memorable scenes that will be remembered always. Liotta and De Niro were great as well, but this film was Pesci's... he was just awesome! Marty really shined on this one.

Casino is "fucking" brilliant! Just watch the famous scene where Pesci and De Niro are talking in the desert. The script for this film is great. Best use of the word 'f*ck' that I've ever seen before. Also, Sharon Stone is not a waste in this one.

Martin Scorsese has shown us once again what spectacular film making is. This movie was pure genious work. Even though it's a remake of "Infernal Affairs", it never loses its touch. Amazing! Full with twists within twists with a shocking ending you couldn't have imagined. I still can't stop talking about the plot. In my opinion, this is the BEST film of 2006. Scorsese deserves his long awaited Oscar... if he doesn't win for Best Director, well... the Oscars are worthless anyway. 5 stars!

What do you get when you mix Batman with Japanese style anime? Awesome visuals and animation depicting the Dark Knight in a way never before created. Batman: Gotham Knight is made out of six short stories all about the Caped Crusader and his alias Bruce Wayne. A warning, this animation is not made for children. Don't go showing this anime to children under the age of nine, it has some pretty graphic content within it. The first story is kind of dull, but then it starts to pick up. My favorite stories are the last three: "In Darkness Dwells", "Working Through Pain", and "Deadshot". The episode "Crossfire" is pretty decent, but these other three are the ones to stand out, in my opinion.
I'm not really much of a Japanese style animation fan, but this movie is not a miss to any Batman fan. Pretty expensive though, for what it delivers on the special edition DVD.
This is going to fill you up before The Dark Knight comes. God, I cannot wait for this film!

Clint Eastwood scores... and scores he does. This all-star cast movie, (Eastwood, Hackman, Freeman, Harris), is a great Western directed by Clint Eastwood. This film is Eastwood's last western he appeares in up to this day with a great performance. Hackman shines in this villain role, deserving his Oscar in 1992 for Best Supporting Actor. Freeman and Harris are wonderful as always playing old outlaws that try to murder a cowboy who tortured a prostitute. In my opinion, this is one of the many great westerns out there. Not as good as "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" though, but still great!

One of the greatest terrors in cinema history!

DEFINATELY! one of the best films of 2006 I have seen. Guillermo del Torro captures the setting wonderfully. The gore in this movie sets the tone perfect for the scenes to come, the level of darkness is adequate. "El Laberinto Del Fauno" should definately be a contender for an Oscar in the foreign film category.

Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in the same movie? Are you serious? Yes, I am very serious. Michael Mann's Heat is a great American film. Once you see the infamous gun fight on the street, you'll realize this is pure genius! Perfect cast, and it has two of my favorite actors.

Damn, what a f'cking classic. Pulp Fiction is simply... Pulp Fiction. No other words to describe it. One of Quentin Tarantino's best works. This star-packed movie is definitely not a miss for any film buff out there. Who hasn't seen it? Samuel L. Jackson should have received the Oscar for this film... wow. The dialogue drives this movie forward, you can quote almost anything.
"Bitch, be cool!"

Depicts the different lifes of three individuals after one accident... showing the hardships people go through in life. A great Mexican film.
