The Christmas Card (2006,  Unrated)
The Christmas Card
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies to date.

A small town sent personalized Christmas cards to the troops overseas. A man received one of the cards and kept it close to his heart the whole time he was over there fighting. When a bunch of his buddies are killed in the line of duty, he is sent home. His sole purpose: Find the family who sent him the card that got him through the tough days. Who does he find? A hard working family, some of whom are vets. And who sent him the card? A girl with a guy of her own - a wine seller who does quite a bit of biz with France. Who do you think the family likes? But the more important question - In the end, who does the girl like?

A fun family treat with a slightly serious side. (However, it's nothing like Fallen Angel.) Go see this one! I think you'll like it!

A Holiday Romance (A Song for the Season)
This is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies. It has a serious side, but I don't think it overpowers it in the least.
A group of people in a small town send personalized Christmas cards to troops overseas. One man receives one card that gets him through some really hard times. When a bunch of his buddies are killed in the line of duty, he is sent home. His purpose: Find the sender of this card and thank them. What he finds is a hard working family of vets who takes him in. But the girl who sent the card has a friend too - a wine seller who does a lot of biz with France. Hmm... Guess who the vet's favor...But the question is - Who does the girl favor in the end.

A fun family flick with a mild serious side. (nothing at all like Fallen Angel's serious side though.)

Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus (2004,  Unrated)
Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus
First installment of this story line. The story is about what the title says and the antics that come along the way. I mean...how would you think a girl would respond to: " Hello, I'm going to be Santa Claus, but first I need to get married. Would you be my Mrs. Claus?" lol...think about it. I want to know what he is saying to all the women he meets that the film montages over. Good flick to pass the time or put in the family gathering background.

While You Were Sleeping (1995,  PG)
While You Were Sleeping
Ok...so technically, this isn't a Christmas film. but they do have Christmas in the flick; so I figured if you don't know about this film, now is as good a time as any to discover it for yourself.

Girl likes good looking guy. Girl saves this guy from muggers. Girl is mistaken for guy's fiancee by guy's family. Girl falls for someone else. What is she to do? Check this film out. It ends great.

It has a bit of dialog that isn't for kids, so you might find the need to locate your fast forward button.

If You Believe (1999,  G)
If You Believe
This doesn't have the best 'bring you in beginning' but you will find yourself enjoying the film and pulling for the lead half way through.

The only thing is the lead guy reminds some of Mr. Rogers, so that might detract for some. I find the movie really cool and inspiring for new beginnings. If you believe.
25
Mrs. Santa Claus (1996,  G)
26
The Santa Clause 2 - The Mrs. Clause (2002,  G)
The Santa Clause 2 - The Mrs. Clause
This one has a few good scenes in it to make it worth watching. About midway through we get the treat of seeing a normal looking Tim Allen court a very serious lady which is pretty nice. I really like the faculty Christmas party scenes..lol...they have that environment pegged just right. However, while you will find the original Santa Clause movie and this one on my list, look carfully...you will not find The Santa Clause 3...at least if I can help it!
27
Carol Christmas (2003,  Unrated)
Carol Christmas
This came on the Hallmark Channel and is a cute flick to past a Christmas afternoon, but when you are watching it with all those commercials in-between, unless you are an extremely die hard Christmas Carol fan, you might not have much reason to stay on the channel.
28
Mickey's Christmas Carol (1983,  G)
Mickey's Christmas Carol
Remember this one! Aww...It's a favorite for me.
29
Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol (1962,  G)
30
Scrooge (A Christmas Carol) (1951,  Unrated)
Scrooge (A Christmas Carol)
I really like this version of the tale. Black and White (not colorized) is my favorite.
31
Eve's Christmas (2004,  Unrated)
Eve's Christmas
This is a great film and my family likes watching it. It stars Elisa Donovan and Sebastian Spence. It would be a bit better if they had fixed up Donovan's hair. It's hard to pull for her some of the time. But I really like watching this movie around the holidays and Spence's character is reason enough. (Just as good of a performance as in Daniel's Daughter.)
32
Miracle on 34th Street (1994,  G)
Miracle on 34th Street
This version is by far my favorite of the two films. Acting and cast are great. I like how they brought the story alive.
33
Miracle on 34th Street (1947,  Unrated)
34
Jingle All the Way (1997,  PG)
Jingle All the Way
So, you should see this film at least once to appreciate the crazy crowds that are determined to wait until Christmas eve to go out and get that blockbuster, sold-out everywhere, over-priced plastic toy that's on the kids' wish-lists. This is a hoot. When the toy store gave out those numbered raffle balls, I cracked up. You could call this a spoof about the trials of late christmas shopping.
35
The Lemon Drop Kid (1951,  Unrated)
The Lemon Drop Kid
Classic Bob Hope comedy set around the holidays. Bob decides to rig the bell ringing Christmas Santas and it all goes down hill from there - screwball style.
36
Christmas with the Kranks (2004,  PG)
Christmas with the Kranks
Now, the main reason I've included this movie here is not to indorse it, but to enlighten you to the fact that it is lightly based off of John Grisham's tale 'Skipping Christmas.' No matter your opinion of this film, the next time you are in a bookstore or library, pick up a copy of Grisham's book (or the audiobook - that one is good too.). To me, the book is nothing like the film, and after I watched the film, I was extremely disappointed.
37
Mary Christmas (2002,  G)
Mary Christmas
Fun and a wee serious Christmas tale about finding those people who live on in your heart. The ending could have been a bit better.
38
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964,  Unrated)
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
What can I say?
39
Eloise at Christmastime (2003,  Unrated)
Eloise at Christmastime
While Eloise is a brat in my opinion, this was a fun film to see. I enjoyed seeing Andrews play again, and the secondary story-line between the young couple was a cute addition to the tale. Takes place in a big city and isn't a bad way to spend a Christmasy evening.

Sarah, Plain and Tall: Winter's End (1999,  Unrated)
Sarah, Plain and Tall: Winter's End
This is actally the third installment in the Sarah, Plain and Tall Series. Jack Palance joins the cast as well.
