The Sea Inside (Mar Adentro) (The Sea Within)
A beautiful and powerfully moving story, wonderfully acted (in Spanish), much food for thought... but mostly it will move your heart. Way better than the Oscar "No Country"
24
Wit (2001,  PG-13)
25
Sicko (2007,  PG-13)

The Bucket List (2007,  PG-13)
The Bucket List
An impossible story of course with the poor bright men and his necessary inordinately lonely estranged uber rich side kick doing things that would make us healthy ones sore. A good fable none the less and enjoyable chemistry with two veteran pros.
36
My Life Without Me (2003,  R)
37
The Mighty (1998,  PG-13)
38
Away from Her (2007,  PG-13)

The Savages (2007,  R)
The Savages
The leads are such a joy to watch, and the topic well portrayed. Won AFI movie of the year selection 2007.
40
Life as a House (2001,  R)
41
The Wackness (2008,  R)
The Wackness
A brilliant movie. Great soundtrack. Kingsley has another stellar script which he aces in yet another character act. Josh Peck is solidly believable and in fact the whole cast does well. Weak point I think is that some of the realism doesn't pan for me - no ODs, no violence, no !@#$'d up arguments. But a must see hit.
42
The Elephant Man (1980,  PG)
The Elephant Man
What a cast! A fine movie. David Lynch's best work. Fabulous era settings and cinematography. Nominated for 8 Oscars. Got none!!!

55
The First Vampire: Don't Fall for the Devil's Illusions (2004,  Unrated)
The First Vampire: Don't Fall for the Devil's Illusions
A short movie. It can be downloaded from iTunes. It is a short story of the fears of villagers and the fight by a physician to understand the illness that led to blood hunger. A little known historical vignette.

Good list, I would also add the classic movie about Robert Koch, the one who discovered the agent which causes tuberculosis.

Just to underline that, apart from The Sea Inside, there are other 3 famous films about euthanasia: Whose life it is anyway, Johnny got his gun and (be careful, it´s a spoiler) Million Dollar Baby

It should also be mentioned The life of Louis Pasteur to make this list be perfect.
