Tommy
(1975, PG)
(Mar. 1975 Director Ken Russell) Roger Daltry is incredible! Of course helps if you are a fan of The Who and Elton John (Pinball Wizard as in pinball champ)......Ann Margaret plays convincingly the guilt- ridden mother of the young Tommy struck dumb one day from shock!! Oliver Reed plays his wealthy stepfather..

(2004 Director Mike Nichols) ABSOLUTELY 5 STARS! GREAT ACTING, EDITING, STORY, WRITING...Love the music video by Damian Rice (contained inDVD) "The Blower's Daughter"...and the line."...And so it is...It's like you said it would be..no fame no glory..most of the time"(2004 Director Michael Nichols) Based on a hit Broadway Play. Passionate performances are stellar in this movie by ALL! I gained new respect for each of these actors. I believed they were torn apart by their passions: Jude Law, Clive Owen, Natalia Portman and Julia Roberts BRAVO!! [SEE VIDEO CLIPS!]

(2007 Director: John Sayles) This is a down home movie of hope...the stuff that most of us live on....real nice. Set in the deep deep Alabama South in a harsh past. Good performances by Danny Glover & an old time Sheriff Stacy Keach! [an instant view on Netflix] Blues musician Keb' Mo works his magic on the saxophone to help save the day.. A sweet, homespun Yaya Costa co-stars as daughter China Doll.
