Oasis: Live by the Sea (1995, Unrated)
This is the first live show dvd from the great rock band Oasis. During their first and best album 'Definitely Maybe'. Liam Gallagher gives his best vocals, Noel Gallagher gives us top notch songs and we get to see all the original band together performing. Full of classic Oasis songs and banter from the Gallaghers. Love the part when Noel forgets the words in the middle of 'Sad Song". That was funny. A must see for any Oasis fan. |

Oasis: ...There and Then (1996, Unrated)
The second dvd release from the great rock band Oasis. During the 'What's the Story Morning Glory' album and the height of their career. We get to see the band perform at two different shows. We get all the classics and best from their first two albums in this. Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher are top notch in their singing and performance. Plus the film has short interviews with the band in between the songs. A great live show by Oasis. A must see for any Oasis fan. |

Live Forever (Live Forever: The Rise and Fall of Brit Pop) (2003, R)
A great look behind the history of Britpop in the 90's. I'm a big Oasis fan so this was interesting. This bacially follows Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Massive Attack, The Verve and the band Sleeper. Overall I found this to be quite a interesting documentry. The extras have Noel Gallahger talking about certain topics. He was very funny in this. Check it out. |

Nirvana Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! (1994, Unrated)
This is a good live music film of Nirvana. The film also shows interviews of the band. This film was being made by Kurt Cobain before he died. So the rest of the survivng band members got together and finished it. Some great concert shots of the band live. If you a fan of Nirvana then check it out. Otherwise if you are not then you would want to avoid it. |

Metallica - Some Kind of Monster (2004, R)
A must see for any fan of Metallica. The film that started as a making of their new album turned into a film about a rock/metal group trying to keep a band together and fight their personal demons. The film is well done and shows the human side to the band. The film shows that even this great band are only human like everybody else and are trying to make their lives better. Plus the films shows us things about the bands history and personal lives you would never see or know. Plus the music alone through out the film is awesome. Even if your not a Metallica fan you may still want to see this film for just the interesting interaction that takes place through out the film. Overall a great documentary film. |

Almost Famous (2000, R)
This has to be one of the best rock movies out there. Based on a true story the film is great from begining to the end. What a great cast in the film. From Patrick Fugit great performance as the young teenager traveling with a rock band. To Kate Hudson as the queen of the groupies. From Billy Crudup and Jason Lee great performances as members of the band Stillwater. Plus a great supporting cast throughout the film. If the film wasn't good enough the soundtrack alone in the film was awesome. I think Elton John's song Tiny Dancer got more popular after this film came out. A must see film for rock fans. A classic. |

Rock Star (2001, R)
This is just one of those movies that takes you back to the big hair and glam rock/metal of the 80's. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg who gets to become the lead singer of his favorite rock band Steel Dragon during a falling out with the original singer. The movie has some original rock music made for just the movie. It ws quite good to my surprise. Plus you get music in there from Kiss, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi. The story is decent and has a solid supporting cast. It was entertaining enough. Worth a one time watch. |

Walk the Line (2005, PG-13)
What a great movie. Joaquin Pheonix did a excellent job portraying Johnny Cash. One of the best movies I've seen on a music legend. Johnny Cash is one of the few country music stars I can listen to. I would have to say this is Joaquin Pheonix best role he has every done. Plus Reese Witherspoon gives a top notch performance as well. |

Oasis - Familiar to Millions (2000, Unrated)
A great concert film showing one of the two performances by the great rock band Oasis at Wembley Stadium in the year 2000. This concert is up to their Standing on the Shoulders of Giants album. So you get some of their best up to this album. Noel Gallagher is great as usual on guitar. Outstanding solo on Gas Panic by him. And I loved his version of a old Neil Young song Hey, Hey, My, My. Liam Gallagher is his usual self on stage. Feeding off the crowd and trying to change the lyrics on songs during the show. Great banter between the Gallaghers with the crowd. Overall this is a great live concert. Check this out if your a Oasis fan. |

La Bamba (1987, PG-13)
One of Lou Diamond Phillips best movies. A great true life story film about singer Ritchie Valens. Lou Diamond Phillips as Valens was great. He was a great choice to play the lead in the film. I heard some of Valens songs before but didn't know much about his life. Who knows what his career would have lead him if he didn't die in that plane crash. Well worth a watch for those who enjoy true life based film. |

Great Balls of Fire! (1989, PG-13)
This is a solid movie based on the life of musician Jerry Lee Lewis. The film stars Dennis Quaid as Lewis and Winona Ryder as his young cousin who he ends up marrying. A interesting look into Jerry Lee Lewis life. I was familiar with his music but not his life. He came across as a cocky man who made some bad choices later on in his career. Worth a watch if you enjoy true life based movies. |
