It is very well done, and the plot is just well-executed. Bjork creates a lovable character and brings a powerful and effective performance despite not being a professional actress. The scene in the end is very sad and depressing, and Cvalda and the last musical just made me burst in tears.

This film is a playful, nonsensical and whacky rock-and-roll musical full of fun and one liners. The whole film seems to be a prolonged music video. The songs are catchy, and The Beatles are very charismatic and humorous. I can watch this again from time to time for the awesome songs and the great performances from The Beatles but I am just not fond of the obsessed and infatuated fans.

This film belongs in all of my favorite genres (mystery, comedy, musical and drama) so it's no wonder that I instantly loved this film right from the beginning. I also love movies mainly about women since those are quite rare and far more interesting than films with all-male casts. I also absolutely love the song Mon Amour Mon Ami. It is kind of obvious who the culprit is, however, the film is overall interesting and somewhat surprising.

This cheerful and endearing musical film will keep both Woody Allen fans and musical aficionados smiling from the beginning to the end with the simple plot, the special tribute to Groucho Marx and the wonderful musical numbers. And it never takes itself seriously. It almost feels like Woody Allen is also poking fun at the musical genre itself with the musical sequences with the spirits and with the medical staff at the hospital.

This is as sensational and breathtaking as the musical Moulin Rouge! The three protagonists, especially Don Lockwood, are so charismatic and delightful. The iconic scene of Don Lockwood literally singing in the rain is just so wonderful and unforgettable. The cinematography is simple yet exceptional. And most of the musical numbers have such dazzling and bright colors.

Although I hate the fact that the two main characters fall in love at first sight, I love the catchy music, the dazzling colors, the stunning visuals and the well-choreographed dance performances. I also praise the brilliant performances by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.

It is a great, touching and enjoyable film with a somewhat ambiguous ending. Hedwig can be a jerk towards her fellow band members sometimes but she is a very likable character whom most of us will feel sorry for. Some of the songs sung by the band are awesome and I really like the flashback approach of the lead singer's life. The song The Origin of Love is also very catchy.

Hairspray is way better than High School Musical. It is very enjoyable and entertaining with outstanding performances from every member of the ensemble cast. It has a simple yet great plot but the songs and the singing/dancing performances are what makes this film extraordinary. There are also a lot of memorable and catchy songs.

Rent
(2005, PG-13)
I am kind of annoyed with Roger's singing voice. Nonetheless, this movie is still a wonderful musical with lovable characters, great and diverse actors and actresses who have amazing voices and unique lines. Even though there are a lot of conflicts and themes in this musical, it still works and they are able to pull it off.

Dr. Frank-N-Furter steals the show with his almost dramatic entrance, bisexual tendencies and flamboyant outfits while Brad is pure eye candy. The song Sweet Transvestite is very catchy and has been stuck in my head for quite a while. This film also has Susan Sarandon in her earlier performances. It is a weird, great and enjoyable movie but I am not a fan of the ending.

I am stunned by the pretty visuals, beautiful imagery, eccentricities, catchy Beatles songs, and well-choreographed and unforgettable musical acts of this film. I like most of the musical sequences but some of them feel out of place and out of tune. The lousy plot pretty much keeps this film away from being an outstanding film.

The film is kind of long, and most of the songs are repeated again and again in the course of the film but there is no denying that the feel-good and overly cheerful music brings the inner goodness and the optimistic energy out of us. The happy ending also gives the audience some hope and faith. I usually don't like movies with extremely cheerful characters but this is an exception.

I love Jennifer Hudson's character in this movie and I can understand why she wins Best Supporting Actress. The story is great, and the characters, particularly Effie and Jimmy Early, and their friendships are all being torn up by this music business. The music is definitely catchy.

I just don't like the film's concept of how evil people look like and the extra arc in the beginning of the film. But overall, the movie is entertaining, the musical acts are a joy to watch, and the characters, even the dog Toto, are lovable. For a film made in the late 1930s, the setting, costumes, and special effects are quite well done. The song Somewhere Over the Rainbow is also catchy.

It is a guilty pleasure movie of mine. The songs are catchy and I love the acting performances by Toni Collette and Nia Vardalos. Toni and Nia are great at portraying women pretending to be gay cross-dressers. The ending is kind of cheesy and predictable but I still love this movie.

Too bad, the plot and the characters aren't as interesting as the colorful setting and outfits. I think it would be less dull to stare at the wallpaper of the characters' homes than to watch the main characters obsess about each other. The tune that the characters sing to is very repetitive too. I give this three stars out of five for the bright, lively colors and visuals alone.

I love the visuals in the scene where Mrs. Lovett dreams of living by the sea with Todd. The ending is quite well-done too with a little revelation in the end. But this musical is so gory and disturbing even for Tim Burton. And the music is kind of repetitive, and overall it is not catchy enough. I guess I was expecting so much from this film but it's still a good and memorable one.

The songs are not catchy, the film lacks of humor, the characters are shallow and sappy, the story is cliched, and the multiple musical numbers in the end should have been placed in the actual storyline. It was very unwise to make them be a part of a dream sequence. I am only impressed with Gene Kelly's tap dancing and a few of the musical numbers.

It is probably one of the earliest mainstream films to have subtle themes of bisexuality. Anyway, I thought that the film is draggy at most times. I am not even a bit impressed with the musical numbers, and I am actually annoyed by most of them. I only love Life is a Cabaret, the last musical number by Liza Minnelli, and I think it would have been best if that was the actual last scene.
