You Really Should See These...

Alan Rickman = best bad guy ever. This is the movie that started my Bruce Willis obsession lol.

Easily the best war film ever. Gritty, ultra-realistic battle sequences; one at the beginning and another smaller one at the end. This movie is so powerful. It's beautiful -- an utter masterpiece, and it honors Amerian soldiers for their bravery and willingness to do the inredible out of loyalty to their country. Left me completely speechless!

Tragic, bittersweet love story...heart-felt performances on Kate & Leo's part. I can't imagine the movie without them.

Superb! Spectacular! A glorious epic revolving around honor, friendship, loyalty, love, and of course saving the world, lol. It's so refreshing because these qualities seem to be missing from many films. Acting and directing is top notch..score is truly incredible. Everything is absolutely perfect. Lord of the Rings unquestionably deserved Best Picture!!

Very touching dramedy about 2 older, dying men making a pact with each other to live the rest of their lives to the fullest. What a great theme. I actually made my own bucket list after I first saw this (which was like August 08)

A love letter dedicated to all the Americans killed in the bombing of Pearl Harbor...wonderous special effects and decent depiction of war (within a PG13 rating). I think all the character development & hokey love triangle was a bit much though. But I can ignore that...overall, a great film.

I really liked that they portrayed the "bad" guys as real people- the Vietnamese soldiers are husbands, brothers, fathers, and sons, just like the Americans. They are not necessarily "evil"...many are good people, honorable ex-civilians who are just doing their job: to defend their country. Too many war movies portray the opponent as heartless, evil thugs. We Were Soldiers is refreshing!!!
I just got the book this is based off of-- a war memoir by Lt Cl Hal Moore (Mel Gibson's character). Haven't read it yet...but looks promising.

The sweetest, most romantic, cry-able movie I ever ever seen!! Probably the best romance ever period (competing only with Titanic). I was crying like a baby through out the whole entire thing, and I've never done that for any other movie lol. Hilary Swank & Gerald Butler have smokin chemistry :) The movie is also pretty funny in a few parts

Beautiful romance...I love the Irish landscape at the beginning- gorgeous! The ending was perfect, and it made the movie seem like a folk tale...as if the movie was the story of how someone's grandpa immigrated to America. It had a fairy-tale like quality to it. Loved it :)

I love this movie so much...it's scary, funny, gory, suspenseful, and campy...and I can't get enough of it!! One of my favorite horror films for sure! HIGHLY recommended

I cannot get enough of Jurassic Park!! I could watch it over & over & over again...great cast, revolutionary (for the time it came out) animatronics, awesome creepy plot. It's also based on one of my absolute favorite books :D

Anyways...wow...this movie was NOT what I expected! I thought it was going to be a fast paced courtroom/crime drama!!!! I should've known better, with it being based off a Stephen King novel. He's one of my favorite authors, but I hadn't read The Green Mile yet.

Kick ass classic action flick...one of the best action and sci-fi movies ever! I have seen this over and over again...it's impossible to get sick of it haha. A must see for sure.

Confusing, disappointing, and a huge let down after the first two terrific films. But I'd still recommend it...just so you know how the series ends.

This is the kind of movie that is incredible the first time you see it, but the 2nd and 3rd time around the suspense is gone...and then all you have left is some great, likeable actors running around screaming. I mean, that's cool too but it gets old real fast! Overall, a great disaster thriller.

Woahh this has wicked kick ass ation, lol but seriously...and it is kind of weird because the movie is based on these nerdy little toys I think...lol. But I love Transformers! It's also got spectacular CGI, lots of things blowin up all over the place, and lotsa humor. One of the best popcorn flicks around!

Suprisingly good. Bill is going through a mid-life crisis, so he makes some big changes in his life & becomes happier, more fun, and generally a cooler person. It is better than I made it sound!!

Those kids, especially Hannah, were pretty brave to share all their personal experiences & thoughts & takes on life like that, knowing ANY ONE could see it...and their kids would see it. At least they are "somebodies" now...they're famous and prolly got lotsa mula. I think it'd be pretty cool to be the subject of a docu.

Extremely intense & disturbing portrait of drug's destructive power. An engrossing masterpiece and unlike anything I've ever seen before...every highschooler should be forced to see this.
Ellen Burstyn deserved Best Actress for her performance. Honestly, I'd never heard of her before seeing this, but yeah...she completely blew me away. Really, the entire cast was brilliant. I wish Marlon Wayans would quit his dumb ass comedies and do more movies like this!

A real-life story about a young man who turns to drugs after his best friend dies. Featuring an astonishing, highly emotional performance by Leo. Basketball Diaries reminds me of Requiem for a Dream, except for Diaires offers a solution to the problem. It shows there is hope for the drug addict, whereas in Requiem for a Dream they tell you basically that once you become an addict your life is screwed, it's all over. All these anti-drug movies are great. I still think teens should be forced to see them.

A Scanner Darkly is a bit disturbing (the opening sequences) & definitley strange (the entire film is stylized to look like a comic book), but it is beautiful, provacitive, and surprisingly hysterical...I absolutely love it! Awesome sci-fi flick.

Hysterical!! I could not stop laughing! This is one gem of a comedy I nearly skipped...it looked stupid to me & I wasn't too interested, but I'm so glad I saw it. The Beatles scene...omgggg! Hilarious!! There are so many great parodies & cameos in here. Basically the entire thing is a spoof of Walk the Line (about Johnny Cash). SEE IT!

Brilliant dark comedy with a terrific cast. Go basically follows 4 main characters and all the people they meet up with in one night, and all the events and people are somehow connected. It's smart & funny :)

Heart warming tale of faith & miracles in a Scottish-South African farmer's life.

Beautiful moving story...I was crying like crazy at the end! It's also very inspiring. Live for the moment, and live the best you can, cuz you never know when the end might be.
Charlize Theron's character Sara is a great role model :D

A great look at America being pretty much the most violent country, with over 11,00 murders a year, while in Canada the number is something crazy like 69 per year (at least those were the statistics for 2001). It's very eye-opening and talks about stuff every American should be aware of. See it!! The only problem I have with it is that it raised more questions than it answered.

Ratatouille is a cheerful & heart warming, very unique story about a rat who aspires to be a chef...I love it...uber cute!!! Great for kids and adults alike

Earth is a magnificent look at just a few of our planet's wonderous animals. It left me in awe of their creator...the tropical birds & waterfall scenery were especially engrossing.

Eyes Wide Shut is very VERY slow-paced, but it's worth sticking around. It gives us a good look into human sexuality...I'm not sure I quite understood the whole thing, but I thought it to be overall a very good psychological drama. Tom Cruise gives a great great great performance.
