The Idolmaker
A great movie with a touch of cheese. The acting and story are pretty damn good. The tunes are catchy and fit well with the film's 50s-60s time period. Ray Sharkey really shines in this role as the producer/ idolmaker. Peter Gallagher and Joe Pantoliano (The Sopranos) had their debut in this movie and played their parts well. Catch a small part by Marcia from the Brady Bunch. If you're into musical biographies, this just might be the movie for you!

Madonna - Truth or Dare
Interesting behind the scenes look at Madonna in her prime, intermixed with great concert footage. Madonna was really fearless in letting the filmmaker into her life, giving the viewer a real inside look at her and all her ambition and the craziness of her life at the top of the pop heap. See her boyfriend at the time, Warren Beatty, Sandra Bernhart, Antonio Banderas, family and friends. You also get some great truth or dare challenges from her and her backup singers and dancers. A real slice of Madonna's life during her 1990 tour.

Bikini Bandits
Over the top, ridiculously campy T&A Bad Girl fest with Corey Feldman and music luminaries Jello Biafra, Maynard James Keenan and DeeDee Ramone. Features the video for "The Outsider" by A Perfect Circle. I haven't seen the double disc collectors edition, but the regular version was chock full o' depraved, cheesy humor! So I gave it bonus points. Mainly for horny boys, but lovers of raunchy camp can get a couple giggles out of it.

Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny
Was getting a little sick of Jack Black for awhile, so I wasn't expecting much. But this is some great cheesy humor, I happily laughed my butt off at the ridiculousness of it all. Glad they finally decided to make a movie from their original characters I used to see on HBO's "Mr. Show with Bob and David" back in the 90s. Jack Black does his over-the-top schtick excellently as usual. Nice to see Kyle Gass get some screen time and character development. Tim Robbins and Ben Stiller had great parts, but Dave Grohl as Satan rocked my socks off! Not the greatest comedy, but awesome for what it is- a rock 'n' roll stoner comedy.

Paint Your Wagon
Cheesy, bawdy 1969 musical centering around No Name City, a Cali frontier Gold Rush town and the partners Ben Rumson (hilariously played by Lee Marvin) and "Pardner" (Clint Eastwood). When a mormon polygamist comes thru town, he is forced to give up one of his wives, who is then auctioned off to the drunken Ben Rumson. Things get tricky when Pardner falls in love with Elizabeth (Jean Seberg) too, and when they let a pioneer family stay at their homestead. Ben and Pardner team up with Mad Jack (Ray Walston-Mr. Hand from Fast Times) on an easy way to get gold, with disasterous results! Pretty long movie but it has an intermission. Some of it was filmed in Oregon. Cute romp, worth watching just to see young Clint and Lee sing!
