Watchmen (2009,  R)
Watchmen
I have to admit im a huge comic book fan and a massive fan of the Watchmen graphic novel.
There have been alot of comic book films mate latley (Spiderman, Hulk, Ghostrider, Xmen the list goes on). Till recently i think that Marvel comics had been getting great reviews with amazing movies like X-men the last stand and Spiderman 3. Then DC hit back with Batman DN. Well this movie blows Batman out the water. Great story line followed closely to the novel (cutting out a few bits and some hero's) and the action is outstanding.
Best comic book movie yet. DC have it rapped up with this movie.
Cant see what Marvel do to try and beat it
2
The Dark Knight (2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
Mavel Vs DC
I thought Mavel had it in the bag after the releases of x-men and Spider-man but this blows them out the water!
This film is told the way Tim Burtons Batman should have been told. Batman has always been a dark super hero filed with rage and revenge for what the scum of Gothem have done to the city his Family done so much for. After this i can say the Christian Bale is by far the best actor to dawn the legendary Bat suit. Bale puts in a stunning performance as the darkest badest spuer hero of them all, but the show is stolen by The Joker Heath Ledger. I could have never have seen him in this type of role after doing films like a knights tale but i was so wrong. Who ever casted him for this role should saw something in him and was so so right to give him the part. I dont normaly say this but it was a oscer winning performance by the late Heath Ledger. This movie is by far the best comic book movie yet and i cant see Marvels Iron Man knocking it off. Just cant wait for Watchmen now. DC seem to be pushing all the right buttons

Punisher: War Zone (2008,  R)
Punisher: War Zone
I loved the comic book so much. Punisher was one of my fav Marvel comic anti-hero's. I loved the last Punisher movie as it was Punisher brought to true life were this movie War Zone is so so true to the Marvel Knights comic book. Over the top out right violent vengeance! Heads exploding, people impailed on spikes, guns, guts and out right Action.
Any try comic book fan will love this straight away as it's so try to the comic book, but with that I can also see how action fans might not like this but I would say give it a go it has non-stop action from start to finish

Daredevil (2003,  PG-13)
Daredevil
Its Mavel comic book hero Daredevil's turn to be brought to life from ink to screen. A blind man that has advanced highten senses due to a toxic waste accident as a child dawns a red leather suit and devil mask to put the fear into the thugs and bad guys of hells kitching. Daredevil known as the man without fear is a layer by day and a crime fighter by night. Haunted from the murder of his father he seeks revenge on any lowlife he can find untill he can bring down the King Pin of crime. Daredevil wasnt the most popular comic book for Mavel, it had more of a cult folwing from fans and was a little shocked when it was picked for Marvel's next movie.
Daredevil is the god for dark twisted Hero's, Batman is a kitten compared to this hero thats not scared to kill for what he beleaves in.
Daredevil is by far Marvel's Darkest hero and is a legend in his own rights, Ben Affleck plays the part of Matt Murdock (aka Dardevil) very well and you can see he done alot of resurch on this role. Great movie i loved it, but i think if your not a Daredevil fan you may have trouble liking this moving, even other comic book fans may not be impressed. A film for the true Daredevil fan

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) (2008,  PG-13)
Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2)
Totally different to the first movie. Dierected differnt too. Funny and action packed movie.
Love the way the fairytale creatures were done. More along the lines of the comic books. Luke Goss was so good in this film think he stole the show!
6
X-Men: The Last Stand (2006,  PG-13)
7
Iron Man (2008,  PG-13)
8
Wanted (2008,  R)
Wanted
Didnt think this was going to be good after watching the trailer but i was shocked!
Take no notice of the trailer at all people it does the film no justice at all!
9
The Shadow (1994,  PG-13)
The Shadow
Great movie super hero. Very dark and some amazing acting by a Baldwin!
10
Batman Returns (1992,  PG-13)
Batman Returns
DC's Dark Knight returns to face more than one villan in the streets of Gothham this time. Such a dark and sinister movie the way that DC intended Batman to be not the bright Adam West Batman hear (although Adam West was a great Batman). Danny DeVito is so amazing in this film his best performance ever!
Tim Burton makes the whole film into a dark twisted fairytale. Cat women friend or foe. A must watch movie even better than the first Batman
11
Hellboy (2004,  PG-13)
Hellboy
I was a fan of the Hellboy comic books and was surprised to hear they were making it into a movie. The movie was in no way a let down. Great film, and not only for the comic book geek like myself ;)
12
The Punisher (2004,  R)
The Punisher
Frank Castle is The Punisher, one of Mavel Comic's more darker and blood thristy anti-heroes.
Im not sure if Thomas Jane was a good choice of actors for the part of Frank Castle as he's abit soft for my liking. But i was wrong the movie is just a violent, blood thirsty, and soaked in hatred as the comic was. I was supprised to see John Travolta playing a part in this movie as i dont think the movie got the hype it deserved when it was released in UK picture houses.
I do think only action and Marvel comic book fans will enjoy this movie, its not for everone.
13
Batman Begins (2005,  PG-13)
Batman Begins
DC comics batman. Very Dark much betty then all the other batmans. Christian Bale is by far the best Batman yet
14
Constantine (2005,  R)
15
Blade (1998,  R)
16
AVP - Alien Vs. Predator (2004,  PG-13)
AVP - Alien Vs. Predator
Two of the great horror si-fi movies of all time coming together to hopefuly make the best in the saga yet. Not the case hear!
I used to love the Alien Vs Predator graphic novels, all set in the future like the Alien films.
But this movie is set in the presant, not sure why they chose to do that but they did. The film need more Predator tear up action than it gave. Over all i was a little disaponted but not a bad effort hopefully the next one will live up to the graphic novels
17
Spawn (1997,  PG-13)
Spawn
Such a great comic book character! A human who is a secret services hitman is picked to leads Hell?s army to the gates of heaven and burn them down. But in a twist of fate once given power by the Devil he decides to fight for good.
That sold the film for me on its own, Great movie.
18
X-Men (2000,  PG-13)
X-Men
I have the comic books, watched the TV seris and now see the film on the big screen. The story has been changed alot, other x-men have been cut out, but they still made it a great movie. Action and comic book fans will love this movie
19
Spider-Man (2002,  PG-13)
Spider-Man
The first Spider-man movie since the very poor Amazing spiderman movie some time ago. I see this the day it came out being the huge comic book geek that i am. I was keen to see if they would keep to the original story line of how Spider-man got his powers. Well what can i say not only did they keep it along the same line they made it better! Also bringing the Green Goblin story to life right from the start. Althogh i wasnt to keen on the Green Goblin 'flight' suit as it looked like a Jap kids program reject, Willem Dafoe was an amazing villan. This film made Spider-man evers onces hero of choice and also brought Spider-man into the futre by making this movie a little darker than the comics ever were. I thought that would be a major problem for Marvel films as Marvels comics were so shiny and full of goody goody super heros that abided by the law (apart from a few i may add 'Wolverine, Blade etc), which i fell wouldnt have looked right in todays day and age. Look out DC comics looks like MArvel may have a darker side!
