I saw this in the cinema and was blown away! Set new standards for fight scenes, special effects, stunts. An audio/visual treat, it oozes style!

The motorway scene at the end makes this worth watching. Probably the weakest of the 3 overall.

The battle of the sentinals against Zion make this worth watching for that alone!

A great kick vampire ass film. Great special effects, fights and action, all to a thumping sound track.

A quality sequel with even bigger action scenes. Doesn't quite have the charm of the first, but has some quality scenes. Especially the opening chase and ninja vampire fights!

Very similar to the 2nd although this time they must take on Dracula himself. Bit of a weak plot but basically more of the same.

More of the same in this sequel with a similar plot to the first. This is slightly more bloody and sexed up from the first.

There is no better Dinosaur film! Love the T-rex Vs the Jeeps scene everytime.

The 2nd in the franchise this time with even more Dinosaurs. Doesn't quite have the same wow factor as the first but it's still one of the best dino films made. The ending does have a slight "King Kong" feel to it though.

Panned by critics upon release, this is still a very enjoyable film. It is the weakest of the 3, the story is not the best or most original. The ending also feels like it was rushed and happens very abruptly. However there are still very few films with such convincing dinosaurs in them and the effects are great. Just a pity there wasn't a bit more of the T-rex fight near the start. Sit back and enjoy the visuals.

A truly epic film, so many stand out scenes but love the Belroc creature towards the end! Best cinema creature ever??

My favourite of the trilogy. Has so much going on in it, one of the best epic battle scenes in any film.

Very similar to the prisoner of Azkaban film. Very dark and brooding. Very good SFX as always but not as much action as I was expecting. Good to see some new characters though, but was hoping for more.

I quite like this sequel. Although not as good as the first, it's still better than many slasher films. It has a good location, ok plot and of course a young sexy cast. The finale is pretty good and creepy to. If you like horrors you should like this.

The best Batman film to date, love that Batmobile and Jack Nicholson is perfect as the Joker.

Tim Burton does another fine job in this sequel. Very dark and gothic still with a good mix of action and humour as well. Pity the story isn't as good as the first but Michelle Pfeiffer looks great as Catwoman.

Doesn't have the same cult status as the first. This time the Predator is hunting in the city of L.A., right in the middle of a drug war. Very violent and bloody but the finale isn't as good as the first.

A cool British gangster flick as some low end criminals get in way over their head. Cool story well made. If you like Snatch, Lock stock and two smoking barells you should enjoy this to. Although this has less humour than those two films.

Not quite as good as the first which had a better villian in my opinion. Still has plenty of action and great scenes. After seeing the 3rd this is probably the weakest of the 3, but still a highly entertaining film in it's own right.

Plenty of action and amazing SFX,taken to a new level. Has it's slow periods and links more with the first than the second. Sometimes the action can be a bit too frantic to appreciate it all. However still a top quality movie.

The sheer scale of this movie is also Titanic! At nearly 3 hours long and a whopping budget this needed to be great.....and it succeeds. The sets, costumes all look amazing and authentic down to the last detail. The effects and stunts as the ship begins to flood and sink are impressive. Told from a retrospective view point of a survivor this is also a story of love as much as a true story of the disaster. Deserves every award it won.

Even more funny than the first. This time set in Hong Kong, they get caught up in a triad counterfeit money operation. Has some great fights to and Chris Tucker is hilarious.

A funny, enjoyable spoof mainly making fun of the Rambo films as well as a few others. The kickboxer fight scene is hilarious!

A very funny film starring Tim Curry based on the Cluedo board game. It has a mix of slapstick, one liners and visual gags and a mix of whodunit? drama as well. A comedy classic even better on DVD with a choice of one of three random endings, or the original showing all three!

Cool slick sci-fi film, silly plot but the creature looks good, designed by H.R.Giger who also designed the look of the Alien!!

Slated by critics? but this is a moving film based around the events of Pear Harbour. It may take the story in the direction of two friends who grow up together to become pilots and fall for the same woman, but an underlying love story didn't cause Titanic any problems? The SFX are amazing and the bombing of Pearl Harbour is done on a huge scale and saddening to watch. This is a true epic of a film, artistically shot, well directed and with great lead actors which handle the tragic event so well.

Pure fun B-movie action/horror. Won't win any Oscars but an entertaining film with pretty good SFX.

A very good horror with plenty of suspense and a few twists. It has a very menacing atmosphere throughout whilst not being too gory. Simple idea very well done!

Just what you want from a blockbuster film. Great action all the way, amazing SFX and a fair share of humour to. The effects are just breathtaking, not felt like that since I watched The Matrix! It has a very simple storyline and as a fan of the toys, animated movie it would have been nice to see more of the other Transformers characters. Overall though it's a brill blockbuster that will thoroughly entertain you!!

A good thriller with a great performance by Robin Williams showing he can do more than funny voices! He plays the role of a strange, creepy photo developer who makes up for his lack of family and friends by thinking of himself as an uncle to a family whose photo's he develops. Quite a strange film with a bit of a twist.

I love these type of supernatural thrillers, very well made with a strong cast.

Not sure how I stumbled across this film but I am glad I did. Not very well known but considering the cast includes Jared Padalecki (Sam from Supernatural), Lindy Booth and even Jon Bon Jovi amongst others, as well as being made fairly recently it deserves better publicity! It has a good plot, good acting and a good twist to. It's not that scary to be honest and won't satisfy gore fans but otherwise an allround enjoyable film. Similar to Urban Legend, Scream and another slasher but I won't name it as it'll give twist away!

A good thriller with a few twists and a tropical setting.

A cool psychological thriller with some neat twists. Great perfomances by all the leads, if you like thrillers like Sleeping with the enemy and What lies beneath you'll enjoy this.

A pretty good remake of the earlier film. The location and effects make this film. A bunch of people with sleeping disorders stay at a remote English estate to be monitored......or are they there for another reason?

A very good sequel if on a lower budget. Not as violent or dramatic as the first, but sexed up a little. Overall an enjoyable film.

This is a brilliant if simple thriller/horror film! I was surprised I liked it so much, favours well compared to the original and much better than The Hitcher 2 which no doubt passed many by, just as well. This is very similar to the original with the general plot and "key" scenes still in it. Sophia Bush is great in this and Sean Bean does make a a good viillain. Very violent and bloody to go with it! If you thought this would be a poor comparison to the cult original then I suggest you check it out.

A great action film with a good plot, lots of shooting, explosions that keeps a fast adrenalin pumping pace throughout. It's a little predictable and Danny Glover talks like he is wearing a gum shield for some reason!? Overall though I thought it is very similar and just as good as The Bourne Identity. So if you like that check this out!!

Cool film with the master teaching the new rookie type plot. It was very enjoyable with some good action scenes and sfx!

This is a very cool, very good thriller. It's a bit like a modern day remake of Rear Window but with plenty of comic moments as well that it is also a bit like The 'Burbs, The girl next door. Overall a very enjoyable thriller and the pace really picks up towards the end with a few good "red herrings" along the way!

The best romantic comedy I have seen with an all star cast. Covers every aspect of love and has a feel good feel to it.

At last a great Vampire horror film!! It's been a long time coming. I love the Blade and Underworld films but they definitely fit more into the action genre. This is bloody and gory in places, has plenty of tension and a good story about a town under siege for 30 days. The photography is great and vampires look original. Overall it has something for everyone especially those who love a good horror, vampire film!

A good blockbuster big budget action film. If you can forgive the silly idea of having a portal that allows them to look back in time 4 days to any point, from any angle and even indoors!?!? Then this is an otherwise very good action film if a little predicatable.

One of the best game to film adaptations. Very odd, strange and creepy but altogether a good horror film that may surprise you.

A teenage Jame Bond in the making.

A cool blockbuster film with a good cast and great SFX but it just doesn't land a knockout punch for me. It all starts well enough with a funny take on of all the superhero films with a guy called Hancock who causes destruction whereever he goes and becomes hated for it. There are some great action scenes and very good SFX but the final third of the film has a twist and takes the film in a totally different direction to the rest of the film. Well worth seeing though!

Another comic based superhero action movie, seems to be an awful lot of them lately. This one definitely sits up there with some of the best of them so far! I would have liked a few more action scenes once he has created the suit to really show it off. However the action scenes you do get are great and with very good SFX. This is just a fun, enjoyable, cool action film well worth seeing.

WOW! This film is brilliant! What can I say believe the hype. This is such an engaging film you won't be able to take your eyes off the screen for a second. This is a mix of action, drama, disaster, and sci-fi all rolled into one and even with a touch of romance to. It was much better than I expected it to be given all the hype around it. The film is viewed through the playback of a camcorder after an event in New York, Kinda Blair Witch like but better. The first person feel of it really brings you into the action, panic and confusion as the events unfold. This is set to be a cult classic! If you haven't seen it yet put it to the top of your to watch/rental list! It feels like a roller-coaster ride you don't want to end!

A brilliant moving film with great actors based on a Stephen King story.

Vin Diesel as Bond could have been the pitch for this movie. XXX is a great no holds barred action film with cool gadgets, SFX, fast cars and hot women with a pumping soundtrack. Even the credits are flashy in true Bond style, like the rest of the film but a little more Xtreme!

A very strange horror with a real twist of an ending!!

This is a very good little know film. It's a mix of cat and mouse thriller with the FBI trying to track a killer at one of their training facilities. It starts as a thriller and soon becomes a horror as puzzles are put in the teams way similar to the traps in the Saw films. Along with an impressive cast and great setting this is worth hunting out.

One of the best horrors I have seen in recent years. A low budget UK film but it is bloody and tense as well. A group of soldiers are on a training mission in the Scottish Highlands when they encounter a pack of werewolves. If you love Horror films this is one of the best Werewolf films around.

Very bloody at times but not as scary as I thought it would be. Still very good though.

We get a cool relevant story for the present day about hackers getting in to control just about everything in the country, lots of great action scenes not overly reliant on CGI, great fights and some humour as well of course. John McClane is definitely one hard to kill guy, kicking bad guy ass just as well as ever. This is all out action you can't fail to like!!

A brilliant horror film that has more than its fair share of dark humour. A yuppie loses the plot and ends up killing people off...in between facial packs, working out and dining at the best restaurants!

A great adventure film as a Boy robot sets out to make himself "real". Great actors, impressive effects and touching story finished off by Spielberg.

A great, sexy thriller with more twists than a Pizzeria pepper pot!! Cool plot but need to be a wake to follow it all.

Finally watched this at long last hearing it was a good film for a while now. It's very unique and very stylish. It starts off similar to The silence of the lambs, with a serial killer on the loose who is getting bolder which each new victim. They track him down but he has a seizure and with the latest victim still missing they need to find her quick! Using a sort of virtual reality programme J.Lo must enter his mind to find the answers.
A very good film, if quite weird during the dream scenes but these also look excellent, very surreal and elaborate. You will enjoy this if you like serial killer films, horrors and the just plain weird!

At last!!! I have been trying to remember the name of this film and find it for ages! Known as Wings of the Apache in the UK. This is basically Top Gun with the Apache gunship helicopter...I didn't even realize at the time Nicholas Cage and Tommy Lee Jones were in this! Must have have been a long time ago when I saw it, but it has some great action scenes. Well worth checking out!

As good as horror films get!

I really liked this low budget horror. If you love playing survival horror video games like Resident Evil, you should enjoy this. People start dying after they play a video game, exactly the same way as they die in the game. Is there a link and how can they survive before they are all killed off?

One of the better horror updates of recent years, very similar at the start to the original.

A pretty cool hack'n'slash film. Almost tongue in cheek at times, could almost be a spoof of both series of films. The effects are cool and there is plenty blood for gore fans. Nice to see a recent film starring these two cult film characters....and as with most Jason films, there is a nude girl in the lake.

Stumbled across this after seeing a trailer. An ok teenaged aimed film which is a bit of of a mix of The Craft, The Lost Boys from the producers of the Underworld, it shows. It has some cool SFX and a thumping soundtrack. Pure popcorn fun to switch your brain in to auto pilot for!

A great all out action film. Totally over the top action and violence in this rather slick, stylish film. It's a mix of Sin City, Kill Bill, Smokin' Aces and a hint of Pulp Fiction to. So if you like any of those, you'll get a blast from this and know what to expect!

Surprised at some of the reviews I have seen for this? I thought this was a very good thriller with a very good twist, for once that you can't see coming right from the start of the film. Maybe it's a bit slow to start with but has one of the best endings for a thriller I've seen in recent years! Go check it out!!

Possibly the funniest film I have seen since There's something about Mary. It has the perfect cast for it with a constant stream of jokes.

One of the best game to film adaptations so far. A good mix of creatures from the game, action and weapons.

Quite different to the games but still a pretty good film with plenty of over the top action.

A pretty good action/horror film in it's own right but overall my least favourite of the three so far. The films are getting further away from the games and more like other zombies films each time. This could be a day of the dead film with nearly everyone in the world a zombie. Not to mention borrowing ideas from other films it seems. It doesn't link to well with the end of the 2nd film either as there seems to be a big time gap between the two.
It does have good special effects and action scenes, Jovovich and Ali Larter give good performances just a pity about the plot.

The classic underdog has his day film, probably the best Rocky of them all!

This is a great boxing film with MR T on the scene to take Rocky's world title. Will he be able to get it back or has he lost his edge. Some great boxing scenes in this even if it is a bit cheesey at times.

Not so good storywise as the first 2 maybe but this has a great vibe to it. After becoming rich and famous and having too many soft fights Rocky meets a new challenger in Clubber Lang (Mr.T). Can he beat this aggressive opponent? A great come back against the odds film with some good fight choreography.

Didn't get good reviews but this is a great east vs west boxing film. This time he must take on an almost robotic opponent in Dolph Lundgren.

A good fitting end to the series. Very nostalgic looking back over everything he has achieved over his career and seemingly gone almost full circle back to where he started.

I thought this was a very good film and a great remake. It's not entirely scene for scene like some and gives a lot more time to Michael as a young boy and reasons for him to turn evil. Rather than just a madman on the run from the asylum. Although some key scenes are kept and a few are changed slightly for the update, why change what worked so well in the original. Some people will just rate down remakes just for the sake of it, but seriously Halloween might have been scary if you saw it in your teens but today? This builds on what was a great horror classic and adds a few touches, more of a back story, a bit more violent and sexed up a little for today's audience. Whether you have seen the original or not you should check this out.

More of the same from the second film really. Has its moments but didn't find as funny as the other 2 films. Still has some great special effects and action scenes...but just felt something was missing this time?

The cult classic of them all! Great stories that interwine with each other, great cast. Has some funny moments between the brutal violence and bloody scenes.

The worst of all 6 in my opinion. It has good characters and SFX, the Pod race saved this film! However the script reads like a book for 5 year olds!....not to mention Jar Jar Binks?

Plenty of great battle scenes and cool fights. Top SFX!

Probably the best of all the Star Wars films. Much darker as we see the beginning of Darth Vader!

A very creepy, spooky film if not that scary. You should like it if the liked The Ring.

Not as good as the first one. It's Just basically more of the same, but second time round you know what to expect, some scenes were nearly identical to the first. Leaves too many loose ends as well, better off just watching the first. At least that feels more complete than this. Not scary at all.

I didn't think I would like this as much as I did. Has some very funny scenes and great slapstick humour. It's a kinda mix of Old School meets the Magnificent seven!! Very well cast as well, great fun.

Probably my favourite spoof film, always makes me laugh.

Not quite as funny as the first, but more of the same style jokes for fans of Police Squad.

Not as good as the first 2. This time has must stop a gang from blowing up the Academy awards live on air.

Sounds like a very cheesey B movie but actually it's a pretty good creature feature. Jon Voight puts in a great performance and the SFX are very good. Overall a cool enjoyable film.

More of the same in this sequels. A good mix of action, comedy and adventure.

A good spin off from The Mummy films. This follows the stroy of the Scorpion King from the Mummy Returns, played by the Rock. Quite similar in many ways, it has the same visual feel of the Mummy films if the story is not as good. Still worth watching.

An all time classic and many people's favourite all time film. Well ahead of itself and launched the Star Wars series. Always entertaining, a land mark in film making!!

More Jedi fun in this classic film.

Probably the best of the first 3 released Star Wars films. So many cool characters and great fight, battle scenes.

A great all too little known film from '86. Set in Sherlock Holmes school days setting the story background as he becomes the worlds most famous detective. I remember seeing this at the cinema and is just the sort of film full of action and adventure everyone should love. Steven Spielberg was involved in the production and it shows. This film has a feel to it like the Mummy and Indiana Jones films. It also has some very good SFX for the time. If you have missed this film then you are missing out, track it down!

Personally I thought this was excellent! Heard little about it before seeing it, but once I heard it is based on a Stephen King story I had to check it out. It certainly is typical Stephen King stuff, weird and wonderful. A mix of Cloverfield and the Fog. If you haven't seen it go check it out!

A classic and probably the best and scariest of the Freddy films.

A very good action film continuing right on from Casino Royale. Plenty of action, chases and explosions. Has a certain Bourne Trilogy feel to a lot of the stunts and fights. The Bond films now are more gritty, raw without the tongue in cheek humour of the past films. One for all out action entertainment but not the best story for a Bond film.

Still the best romantic film around.

An often overlooked film with an all star cast about a tale of revenge. Mel has to deal with con artists, bent cops, organised crime bosses and Lucy Liu as a domanatrix to get revenge on those who double crossed him. Quite violent at times but a cracking film. You'll like it if you enjoyed A history of violence or Running scared.

A top film and one of the best action films of the 80's.
