My DVD collection (so far)

Thought this was going to be pure cheesy but it was quite good!

This film is a visual masterpiece and a classic manga film, a must see if you are a fan of the matrix or any other sci fi films.

classic horror, the one that started it all

THE BEST FILM EVER!!! BADASS!

A lot of people think this sucks and yeah when you compare it to Aliens or Predator it does. However you cant deny you didn't want to see a predator take on an alien. I certainly did and thought it was ok, not great but just ok. They could have done a lot better, haven't seen the new one yet but not holdin ma breath.

One of the funniest films i have ever seen, i would recommend this to anyone who likes comedies. Fantastic!

I was a bit aprehensive at first when i seen the cover. I thought this is going to be crap but i loved the Matrix and i wanted to know more about the background of the story etc. The second renaissance part 1 and 2 are great, they tell the background story of how the matrix came to be. It is very dark and disturbing just the way i like it! Then there was final flight which is like a prelude to Reloaded. All in there are 9 short animated features that tell various stories related to the matrix in some way. The real icing on the cake was the traditional anime approach in Program, which incidently is my favourite of the 9 featurettes. Stunning visual masterpiece, well worth watching if you have seen the Matrix.

This is a wierd ass film about a special forces officer (Sheen) who is sent to track down and kill a renegade Colonel (Brando). Most of it is just a trip up the river if you think about it but i think that builds tension and also gives him time to evaluate what he is doing. The Colonel is completely bananas and he mumbles a lot but for some strange reason it all works really well. I like this film because its not like all the other war films you see, it shows a different side of war, one you might not think about. a film to see before you die.

I didn't know what to expect when i bought this but someone had told me it was really good. Starts off just with these tribes folk in a jungle and everything is jus fine and then the shit hits the fan and you do not get a moments rest! I was like woah this is really good. I'm sure some people would disagree but it was very entertaining indeed. top marks.

wesley snipes looking a bit menacing and slicing up vampires with a samurai sword. nice one. the first scene is a classic with the blood pumpin out the sprinklers!

the daywalker returns to dispatch some ugly looking vampire cross breeds. some good quotes in this one.

blade gets to fight the one and only Dracula. great showdown. and why the fuck is HHH in this?

Still not sure how i feel about this film, i think i need to watch it again ...

This is a relatively short animated feature about a vampire who hunts demons for some top secret agency or something (i never pay attention to that sort of thing). Wasn't as good as i thought it would be but still watchable i guess.

so good for a budget film, really great dialogue. well written.

I think this film kicks ass. Its creepy, claustrophobic, dark and freaky. Not sure about the wierd underground creatures but they seem scary enough.

Don't know why i bought this. I though maybe we would see Jennifer Garner kick some ass like in Alias. Was a bit soppy for my taste, that little girl annoyed me. At the end i was like, is that it? Least we get to see Jennifer in some skin tight outfits. Damn!

this wierd film is a bit of a mind boggler but once it comes together its cool. good to see jim carey doing some real acting and not acting like a fanny.

I love this film. The first time i saw it was in the cinema and it freaked the shit outa me. Years later i decided to buy it on DVD and it still sends a chill down the spine. Very creepy underated sci-fi horror.

this film started a revolution i think, some people dont understand what its really about. once you read the booklet that comes with the dvd you start to see its quite deep.

I tried not to like this and it ended up as one of my all time favourite comedy films. Almost choking with vomit sweet but damn its funny. Ten second tom gets me everytime!

One of my all time favourites manga films. The more times i watch this the more i love it. The Major is one of my favourite characters of all time. She kicks ass! Start to finish its perfect. A masterpiece by Mamoru Oshii.

Nowhere near as good as the first. The plot is a bit wierd and you really need to concentrate at times. But and its a big BUT! This film is visually spectacular. The festival scene alone took them a year to make and its just a random scene!! crazy! the detail is superb. Also missing is the Major. Its just not the same without her! ok she is in it a tiny bit but come on she was what made GITS in the first place. Real shame i had high hopes for this. even though its not great i still gave it 4/5 for visual appeal.

This film is stunning to watch. Its a masterpiece in its own right. The storyline is great, the characters are interesting and the landscapes and scenery is beautifull. what a great film. must see movie.

samurai swords, blood, violence and mayhem. whats not to like?

part two was mellow but i still liked it as much as the first.

watched this one day and thought this is no a bad wee film, outrageous action sequences but it works well. recommend this if you like action/comedy.

slick as fuck, not a fan of josh hartnett but its done brialliantly.
