MY DVD WISHLIST

This is my favourite movie of all time.. it has meaning on so many levels.. RIP Brandon Lee... the resolution isnt the best, but i sometimes think the graininess adds to the seedy atmosphere... Definately my top pick, and the best of the series.. I love the graphic novels it was based on..


"It Can't Rain All The Time......."

This is one of the best films I have ever seen! and as I have watched uncountable films, that is saying something LOL Its a terrific Japanese film set in a not so distant distopia.. A story with a sad ending, and a touching message. She (Yumiko Shaku) is the last princess of the assassins tribe, and finds out her mother was killed by the man now leading the tribe. She must run to save her life and to re-evaluate her thoughts. He (Hideaki Ito) is a young man trying to cope with the present, while being dragged into the past. His family was brutally murdered, all except his sister, who was so traumatised she no longer speaks. He was influenced by a man speaking compassionately about a new world - and ends up part of a terrorist organisation. He is now dealing with his actions, and waking up to the fact that the man he idolised had ulterior motives.. The two come together and start to heal.. but you cant escape the past....

Its a beautiful movie, melancholic and understated - and silence says more than words... A must see!....

i love this movie.. it wass my first real introduction to indian cinema a few years ago.. i watched it about ten times in two weeks i was so taken by it.. the music, the dancing, the colour.. this film is so touching, so moving.. deals with very real themes such as adultery, pedophillia and life in general.. through the sadness, the triumph, the laughter, the tears.. this is such a beautiful movie... and worth watching at least once! i recently bought a cd, "midival punditz" and realised my favourite song from it, is in the movie! when Dubey is going through his crisis.. the music in this film is gorgeous.. the different feels, the contrasting rythyms.. WATCH THIS FILM!!

I actually really liked this movie.. It is, ofcourse, a B grade, so dont watch it expecting amazing viewing, but i loved it! pretty much everyone knows i am a The Crow Fanatic.. loved it to pieces.. but i love the concept and mythology of it all as well.. and yes, i have seen some of the gaphic novels, and i have also read some of the written novels (I loved the one set in Thailand) - i am extremely interested in mythology, and add black leather and a tradedy, and i'm set LOL anyways, i loved this chapter inThe Crow mythos! vincent perez was great, and i loved sara as well.. a pyschic, an artist.. and the bikes.. mmm loved his ducati! i hated Iggy Pop --> he always gets on my nerves, but particularly so in this film.. anyway, i loved this movie! gothic visions, add the "Day of The Dead" parade, tattoos, bikes, a sexy sad guy, and i'm all set :)

LOL classic old school vampire myths - Joss Whedon's first snap at buffy... i love the tv series, and every fan should watch the b-grade movie which spawned it at least once!
