Pearl Harbor (2001, PG-13)
although it is a very accurate and stunning account of the real event, there are the elements of kate and ben's characters that subtracted to the greatness of the film. their love story, although poignant, seems to have been lost in all the action, as well as the twist wherein kate thought that ben was dead, and conceived a child by ben's best friend, josh (i'm not using their character's names), thus adding to the complexity of the whole story. but a visually stunnig masterpiece nonetheless. |
