Jean De Florette (1986,  PG)
Jean De Florette
Rural french drama where an old man and his only relative cast their covetous eyes on the adjoining property - as it has a natural spring, which would be perfect for their latest venture. However, they deliberately set to mischief and block the spring when they discover that the man and his family who have inherited the property and land will be moving in, their intention is to ruin them and make them move away, thus buying the property for a knock down pice. They cruelly watch him toil through the long intense heat of the summer carrying pails of water from the bottom of the steep hill to feed his vegetables, breaking him and leading his family to desperation. Magical.

One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest
medication time, medication time! - one of those great films you wish you were re-watching as your watching it. happy bits and very sad bits topped off with incredible performances from everybody. milos foreman is very under-rated and rarely pops up in the top directors lists and i really dont know why after watching this awesome film.
10
Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la bete) (1946) (,  Unrated)
